NEWS CENTER – With the presence of the members of all the youth organizations of North and East Syria and the citizens of the Cizîr region, the funeral of the YPJ fighter Vejin Jiyan, who was martyred in an accident on August 7, was held with a solemn ceremony.
Along with the people of Cizîr Region, members of civil society organizations and military forces participated in the ceremony. At the cemetery, Ali Haji Hassan spoke in the name of Martyrs’ Families Assembly and said: “We will not abandon our martyrs and will follow in their footsteps.”
Hasan indicated that the military forces and SDF are still on the promise they made to the people of the region and will protect the people of the region and the territory of the region.
Khalid Derik, one of the commanders of the Military Council of Derik district, spoke and continued: “It is our duty to continue the resistance until we fulfill the goals of the martyrs and protect the people and the country. This is the people who believed in Leader Apo’s ideas and philosophy. We will not give up this path until the end.”
On behalf of the Young Women’s Union, Jînda Yûsif said: “In the person of Martyr Vejin, we promise once again to continue the struggle and resistance against the occupation attacks.” Jinda pointed out that the participation of the people of the region in this way is a message to all the occupying states that the people of the region depend on their freedom and power.
2 young people pledged to avenge the Martyr and joined the ranks of Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas and promised revenge.
Later, the mother of Martyr Vejin sent a voice message for the ceremony.
Martyr’s mother’s message: Martyr Vejin is not only my Martyr, she is the martyr of the entire Kurdish People. We offer our condolences to all the Kurdish People. We have faith in this case and we will not back down from this case. I wish you all my condolences. Martyr’s are immortals!
After the speeches, the Assembly of Martyrs’ Families read the certificate of martyrdom and handed it over to the family. In the end, Vejin’s body was buried in the cemetery amid the mother’s coffin.
