NEWS CENTER – The Turkish army started a new invasion operation in the Martyr Delil West Zap region on the night of 20 July. The Turkish army, which tries to convey different political messages with the selection of meaningful days in every invasion operation against Kurdistan, this time chose the days when the Lausanne Genocide Treaty would complete its 100th anniversary.
The aim was to say: “Continue to be the perpetrator of genocide, occupation, war crimes and whatever evil exists on earth in the 100th anniversary of Lausanne!”
Moreover, whether such a day is elected or not, the guerrilla now knows this character of the Turkish army very well and knows very well that the fate of the Kurd will be determined not at the alliance tables of the invaders, but at their own positions. Therefore, no matter where the political balances, alliances and political approaches evolve, the guerrilla continues to wage the most stable struggle against the Turkish state, the cruelest face of colonialism in the region, without relying on anything or any power other than its own struggle and war, and without any expectations. One of the most concrete examples of the guerrilla’s ever-ready and stable struggle, no matter what conditions, in which seasons, and under any kind of attacks, was the war in the Girê Cûdî area in the Martyr Delîl West Zap region today.
THE ACCOUNT THEY MADE AT THE HEADQUARTERS DID NOT FIT THE ZAP
The Turkish army itself knows that it has many disadvantages, especially in the operation it started in this area. The fact that he had to withdraw from here after the 7-month war in the last period, the loss of prestige and trust he lost after burning his own soldiers on this hill, the fact that he no longer dared to bring his qualified cadres to the field due to the losses he experienced in the past, weary men who could not show much presence in the face of long-lasting resistance, sometimes up to 50 degrees temperature and terrain conditions etc. etc.. We can increase the reasons for the disadvantageous position of the Turkish army, especially in the invasion operation that started on 20 July. So, despite all the negativity, why did he start a new operation in the field he succumbed?
OPERATION ZAP WAS DISAPPOINTING FOR THEM
The operation launched by the Turkish army in the Zap area on April 14, 2022 was stuck in the Sîda resistance positions and the Batı Zap resistance areas. According to their calculations, they would have occupied the entire Zap by the end of 2022, but they failed to do so. The resistance of the guerrilla lasted longer than they expected, and they did not anticipate that they would have to flee from the Western Zap area like this. In other words, they could not declare a victory there. The Zap operation was a disappointment for them. However, the Turkish state has a character that feeds on war and blood. Therefore, they had to carry out such an operation especially in order to re-exist in the Medya Defense Zones. In other words, the operation that started on 20 July is a search for a new exit for the Turkish state.
GUERILLA RESISTANCE IS ALIVE
On the other hand, the Turkish army thought that the guerrilla, who had resisted here for 7 months before, would not be able to perform as actively in a second operation as in the first. A daunted, unprepared, complacent force was waiting in front of him that he could defeat at the first move. Thinking that the guerrilla would not be able to put up a very stable struggle, they tried to settle in the Girê Cûdî area again. However, the calculation they made at the headquarters did not fit Zap. The guerrilla has prepared itself stronger and more solidly than before, without any complacency, especially since December, when the Turkish army withdrew from Girê Cûdî. On the first night of the attack, with his cold-blooded, cautious and foresighted interventions, he was able to respond to the invasion attempts of the Turkish army just in time.
But in the private war media, they portray the guerrilla as being taken by surprise and shocked, as if they have turned their heavily disadvantaged position to their advantage. However, in the footage shared by the guerrilla, we heard the help sounds of the soldiers at the time of the shooting of the Skorsky helicopter, which was landing on the area. Even a few seconds of footage is enough to summarize the course of the war. After all, how can a force caught by surprise, lethargic and in no condition to fight, be able to hit so accurately against a helicopter that makes the first landing on the field? It is also useful to remind that; It is possible that the soldier who shared this image will die in an ‘accident’ soon. Just like the death of a soldier ‘as a result of an accident’, who confessed to the conditions they were in in the Zap area during the same period…
LOSTS ARE HIDING

However, the Turkish army both exaggerates the scope of this operation by showing it as if it is operating in a very large area, and does not even deign to reveal the identities of the soldiers it has lost since the night of 20 July. They said that one of their soldiers died in the ‘Claw-Lock’ operation area only recently. For some reason, he was also hit by a helicopter blade, and he died like that! A soldier named Erdem Kavlak also died in an accident with his own gun. Again, for some reason, a guard slipped, fell and died in Gabar two days ago. It is not possible that all such statements, which have been made frequently in recent days, are coincidence. The interesting thing is that the Turkish people, or one of these military families, who are governed by 24-hour perception operations, do not say; What kind of army is this that every day a military falls victim to an accident?
The Turkish army hides the identities of the soldiers punished by the guerrilla. Guerrilla has documented this dozens of times. If not, these soldiers, who are shown so invincible and professional in the ‘mehmetçik show’ visuals prepared in the visual production centers of the Turkish Ministry of Defense, are really stupid enough to shoot themselves every day with their own gun or to experience an event that will happen once in a thousand, such as hitting a helicopter propeller. More than 25 soldiers were killed in the clashes that took place in the Girê Cûdî area for the last 5 days. Will the identities of these soldiers be announced again as “accident” or will they be hidden like many soldiers killed so far; Time will show that.
THE GUERILLA WATCHES AN OPEN WAR
Today, YJA-Star and HPG guerrillas are waging a very concise and open-minded war against all these evil circles, without playing tricks, without cheating, without telling lies, without creating perception operations, without making a fuss. In 2022, they dealt one of the biggest blows to the Turkish army in their history with tunnel and land wars that lasted for 7 months and they were able to repel them. The results in the first days of the war show that a second victory will be written in the Western Zap region. Gaining great experience especially in tunnel wars compared to previous years, the guerrilla now knows better how to protect itself against their chemical gases, techniques and tactical nuclear weapons, and can not only protect itself but also conduct an offensive war. One of the most striking aspects of the daily statements made in the last 5 days of war is that most of the actions taken were led by YJA-Star guerrillas. The tactical wealth, the spirit of aggression and the level of determination achieved by the female guerrillas play a decisive role in determining the character of the war in these positions. The position of the YJA-Star force, which is in daily action against the Turkish army, which represents the ugliest face of the dominant male mentality in the region, with its female mind and intelligence, is more active than ever before.
