NEWS CENTER – Kabul-Afghanistan Revolutionary Women’s Union (RAWA) made a written statement on the anniversary of the Shengal Massacre by ISIS on 3 August and the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan on 15 August, with the slogan of Komalên Jinên Kurdistan (KJK) Coordination, with the slogan “We are with Afghan and Shengalese Women Against Hegemon Men’s Attacks”. Emphasizing the joint struggle, the statement said, “On behalf of the oppressed women of Afghanistan, we, as RAWA, are grateful to the KJK organization that stood by us in a difficult situation and made our voices heard.”
In the statement that emphasized “My brothers and sisters, let’s continue to fight together against imperialism, fundamentalism and the patriarchal system”, the following statements were also included:
“As RAWA, on behalf of the oppressed women of Afghanistan, we are grateful to the KJK organization that stood by us in a difficult situation and made our voices heard. During the war, crime and aggression that has been going on for more than half a century in Afghanistan, women have been the most victims of the policies of imperialism and Islamist fundamentalists, but despite all these pains, women continue their struggle and did not give up. America, pursuing only its own interests as an occupying country, and for which we Afghans’ blood has no value, did not hesitate to produce and bring the most dark and bloodthirsty groups to power in order to maintain its dominance. After the US government and NATO empowered their own Taliban slaves, this marauding and medieval group’s first attack was against women, and they sought to imprison all women and girls in their homes. However, a conscious group of Afghan women will continue their struggle with loud and determined steps, and they will be imprisoned, tortured, raped,
‘WE WERE INSPIRED BY OUR KURDISH WARRIOR SISTERS’
We Afghan women have always been inspired by the courage of our Iranian and Kurdish warrior sisters. Despite being shot, tortured and executed in the terrible prisons of the ‘Velayet-i faqih’ regime, Iranian female fighters take to the streets and continue to defend them more determinedly than yesterday. Courageous Kurdish women, with their armed struggle against ISIS and its supporters, reminded the whole world that the only way to escape from the clutches of ISIS fundamentalists and their masters is to stand firm.
It is undeniable and documented that the petrified and criminal Islamic groups in Iran and Afghanistan, despite their false slogans of “neither in the east nor in the west”, all come from the heart of imperialism and the intelligence agencies of the USA and Britain and the West as a whole and implement the colonial policies of the West. It must therefore be understood that the struggle against fundamentalists cannot be separated from the struggle against US-led imperialism.

It is our mission to unite the oppressed women of the world against imperialism and their inner religious and irreligious henchmen, only then can we move our societies towards democracy based on equality, justice and secularism and women be freed from the cursed culture of patriarchy and tyranny.
