NEWS CENTER – The Lavrio Camp in Greece was raided. The Greek police raided the Lavrio Camp, where the Kurdish people live, at around 03:00 today. It is stated that the Greek police forcibly took the people living in the camp to the closed camps 200 km away.
It is also stated that the Greek police are on guard duty to cut the entrances and exits of Camp Lavrio.
Greece’s Migration and Asylum Ministry has decided to gradually close a refugee camp on the grounds that the site is unsuitable for hosting refugees. The Lavrio refugee camp has been targeted by the Turkish government, which claims the site has been providing shelter to the members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and other outlawed left-wing groups from Turkey, calling it a “terrorist training camp”.
