BEHDINAN – The KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency made a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the 14 July Great Death Fast Resistance, in which Mehmet Hayri Durmuş, Kemal Pir, Akif Yılmaz and Ali Çiçek, the leading cadres of the Freedom Movement, were martyred, and celebrated the 14 July National Pride Day.
In the statement emphasizing that the July 14 resistance showed the Kurdish people and the Freedom movement the right stance and the way to succeed against fascism and colonialism, the statement said, “The leading cadres of our party, who developed this great resistance, commemorate M. Hayri Durmuş, Kemal Pir, Akif Yılmaz and Ali Çiçek comrades with great respect and gratitude on the anniversary of their actions. We bow respectfully to his historical actions. We commemorate all martyrs of revolution and democracy with respect and gratitude in the person of the great martyrs of July 14, and we once again express our promise of success to the martyrs.

“We have entered the 41st Anniversary of the 14 July Resistance. The 14 July Resistance, which has an important place in the history of humanity as well as the people of Kurdistan and our Movement; It is a very noble and meaningful act of defending human values and remaining human under cruelty, brutality and severe torture.
While this great resistance shows us, as the people and the Movement, the right stance and success against fascism and genocidal colonialism; It is of great value not only for the people of Kurdistan, but also for the world democratic socialist movement and humanity. We commemorate the leading cadres of our party, M. Hayri Durmuş, Kemal Pir, Akif Yılmaz and Ali Çiçek, who developed this great resistance, with great respect and gratitude on the anniversary of their actions, and we bow respectfully before their historical actions. In the person of the Great Martyrs of July 14, we commemorate all martyrs of revolution and democracy with respect and gratitude, and we once again express our promise of success to the martyrs. We respectfully greet and express our love to Leader Apo, who resisted in Imrali, and to all the dungeon resisters who resisted in the dungeons of colonialism with the spirit of July 14th.
WHAT IS SEEN AS IMPOSSIBLE ON JULY 14 HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL
The great July 14th Resistance, one of the noblest and most meaningful stances in the history of humanity, requires serious consideration, understanding and assimilation. 14 July Resistance; It is an example of great courage, heroism and sacrifice against cruelty, brutality and torture. A noble and sublime stance against greed; It expresses the commitment to free life and human values with love and affection. The very difficult to dare has been courageously dared and the impossible accomplished. For this reason, the achievement of the impossible was given to the great July 14 Resistance. This is a very correct and appropriate determination and expresses the reality of the 14 July Resistance and its resistance fighters.
The belief and commitment to Kurdistan’s cause of freedom and the PKK’s line of struggle is at the forefront of the July 14 Insurgents. Because of this belief and devotion, the 14 July Insurgents never compromised their freedom stance under very harsh conditions and perfectly represented the PKK resistance line. It is the characteristics of these historical personalities that create the reality of July 14. In this respect, in order to understand July 14th in all its aspects, we need to know and understand the July 14th Resistance.
On September 12, 1980, a military coup was carried out in order to prevent the revolutionary democratic development that developed in Kurdistan and Turkey and to re-establish the genocidal colonialist order. With the fascist military coup, it was aimed to subjugate the society in absolute terms and to suppress the society. A great wave of pressure and violence has been developed on the society in order to completely dry the ground for the society’s tendency towards the idea of freedom and its struggle. In order to achieve this goal, the fascist junta regime aimed to destroy the source of hope and belief of the society by developing confession and regret among the revolutionaries who instilled the idea of struggle and freedom in the society. For this reason, the revolutionaries were brutally attacked, thousands of revolutionaries were shot and killed by torture. The dungeons were filled with revolutionaries and turned into torture centers. The most prominent among these centers was the Diyarbakır military prison, where PKK cadres and sympathizers were held. JULY 14 RESISTANCE SOCIETY FAILED THE PLAN TO TAKE SURPRISE
These great resistances that developed in the dungeon; It was developed to defeat this aim of the September 12 fascist military regime and to protect the people’s hope for freedom. The resistances that started with the Oppressed and continued with the Fours, achieved victory with the 14 July Resistance and destroyed the liquidation concept that the 12 September regime wanted to develop inside. With the 14 July Great Death Fast Resistance, the fascist torturer regime was defeated by condemning surrender, confession, remorse, and all kinds of weakness and indecision. The laws of fascism were shattered and the Principles of freedom based on resistance prevailed. Undoubtedly, this great resistance in the dungeon was also reflected outside. He raised the hope of freedom in society; It has instilled consciousness, courage and determination to fight in the society. It has been revealed that the Kurdistan Revolutionaries do not give up and will not pass the cause of freedom at any cost, and this situation has deeply affected the society. The fact that the prisoners did not surrender even under the harshest conditions and sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom of the Kurdish people has led to the development of a sense of questioning, seeing oneself responsible and embracing the struggle. The development of these feelings in the Kurdish society, which has been in the process of denial and destruction, has undoubtedly been a very important development. Thus, the 14 July Resistance destroyed the plan to end the hope in the people and take over the whole society, and dealt a great blow to the September 12 regime abroad and defeated this fascist regime. The fact that the prisoners did not surrender even under the harshest conditions and sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom of the Kurdish people has led to the development of a sense of questioning, seeing oneself responsible and embracing the struggle. Therefore, the action and spirit of July 14 is the spirit, line and style of struggle of the PKK and the Kurdistan revolution. The Kurdistan Freedom Struggle is developing along the resistance line of July 14, and all developments are the result of this style. The freedom war waged by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla also developed along the line of 14 July. Leader Apo started the August 15 Guerrilla Initiative, carried the line of July 14 to a further point, and made the September 12 regime unsuccessful by ensuring the resurrection of the Kurdish people and realizing the resurrection revolution. Today, the heroic resistance carried out by the guerrilla and the unyielding struggle of the people of Kurdistan against AKP – MHP fascism are developing along the line of 14 July. There is no doubt that if progress is to be made in Kurdistan, this can only be achieved by deepening, assimilating and taking the line of 14 July.
THE DESTRUCTION OF AKP-MHP FACISM WILL MUST BE DONE
The AKP-MHP government is also a continuation of the September 12 regime. Like the September 12 regime, the AKP-MHP government has determined the realization of the Kurdish genocide as its main goal, and wants to realize what the September 12 regime failed to achieve. This is the liquidation of the Kurdish Freedom Movement and the realization of the Kurdish genocide. The isolation and all attacks on Leader Apo are within this scope. As the Movement and the people, we are in an uninterrupted resistance and struggle against this fascist aggression. But in order to completely defeat the AKP-MHP fascism and aggression, we need to increase the struggle even more. There is no doubt that this is possible by deepening the line of 14 July and taking the 14 July spirit and style as a basis. Just as the fascist junta regime of September 12 was defeated by the July 14 Resistance, the destruction of AKP-MHP fascism will certainly occur with the enlargement of the struggle along the line of July 14, today. Fascism will never be able to take over the Kurdish people, the forces of democracy, the conscience and dignity of humanity, and achieve success.
Once again, we commemorate with great respect and gratitude the 14th of July Resistance, who are great monuments to humanity who created great historical developments and changed the sad history of the people of Kurdistan. While the 14 July Resistance fighters sacrificed everything for the people’s cause of freedom, they stated that they owed the people of Kurdistan. These words uttered clearly reveal the character of these great revolutionaries. Every Kurdish person, patriot and revolutionary should strive to better understand the owners of these words and their actions and to be worthy of them. On this basis, we invite everyone to better understand the 14th of July line, to deepen the struggle by going deeper into the 14th of July line, and celebrate the 14th of July National Pride Day.”
