On July 2, 1993, 34 Alevi people were brutally murdered in Sivas. On the 30th anniversary of this inhuman massacre, we commemorate the martyrs of Özge and democracy who were massacred in Sivas with respect.”
KURDISTAN FREEDOM GUERILLA IS FIGHTING WITH THE APOCU FEDAI SPIRIT
The HPG statement stated:
“The psychological torture applied by the colonialist genocidal Turkish state to Rêber Apo in absolute isolation with the same fascist mentality, and the genocidal attacks against the Kurdish people and the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle continue. One of the most important targets of these attacks, which were carried out to completely massacre the Kurdish people, is the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. The guerrilla is constantly the target of enemy attacks because of the meaning it has for the Kurdish people, its role in the legitimate defense of our people, the guarantor of the cause of freedom and the leading force of our struggle. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla is also fighting with the Apoist spirit of sacrifice everywhere from Bakurê Kurdistan to the Media Defense Areas, with the awareness of its historical and current responsibility for our people’s struggle for existence and freedom.
OCCUPATION ATTACKS CONTINUED UNINTERRUPTED
While the invading Turkish state continued its attacks in Bakure Kurdistan by carrying out extensive operations, it continuously bombed the Medya Defense Areas from the air and from the ground. Bakure Kurdistan and Medya Defense Areas in June; It was bombed 127 times by warplanes, 40 times by attack helicopters, 2148 times by howitzer, tanks and heavy weapons. It attacked our positions in the Resistance Zones 26 times with banned bombs and chemical weapons. It also attacked with scoops and crusher ladles to demolish our positions.
44 INVASIVE TURKISH MILITARY PUNISHED
Our forces, which maintained their position in the face of enemy attacks, took an active action position after 13 June and dealt significant blows to the invading Turkish army. Our forces against these attacks of the enemy during the month of June; It carried out 45 actions, and as a result of these actions, 1 contra and 44 invaders were punished. In addition, 1 Reo type military vehicle, 1 mobesse camera system and 1 radar system were destroyed.

The reality of the Apoist struggle, indisputably revealed by the martyrdom of our martyred comrades, once again proved that it is the name of both the national liberation struggle of the Kurdish people and the freedom struggle of all peoples with its democratic nation understanding. This struggle for democracy and freedom, which we owe to our martyrs, and the truth revealed in their person, will always be taken as a basis by us, our comrades, and the flag of struggle will be raised to victory.”
