“At the beginning of 2023, our comrade Zagros, one of the leading militants of the new era guerrilla, in the heavy attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army against the Medya Defense Areas, where an epic resistance took place, in the last three years; Our comrades Darav, Egîd and Salar In 2022; Our comrade Judi was martyred in 2021.
Our comrades, each of whom, as the leading militants of our freedom struggle, fought with the highest Apoist will and determination against all the attacks of the invading Turkish army in their areas, became immortal by staying true to the values of freedom until their last breath.
We express our condolences to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to the esteemed families of our comrades Zagros, Darav, Egîd, Cûdî and Salar, and reiterate once again that we will realize our martyrs’ dream of a free Kurdistan.

Our comrade Zagros was born in Dirbesiyê, Rojavayê Kurdistan. He grew up in a patriotic family environment that knew Rêber Apo, the Apoist movement and its leading cadres and set their hearts on this movement. For this reason, he recognized the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle since childhood and grew up in this struggle. The practices of the BAAS regime, which ignore the existence, language and identity of the Kurdish people, led to the development of a deep questioning and search for a strong identity in our comrade Zagros. Our comrade, who embarked on the struggle on the basis of this search and questioning, took his place in patriotic revolutionary youth work. Our comrade Zagros, who knows that without a party, that is, without a leading force, not even a leaf can move in Kurdistan, he worked with all his might to organize the Kurdish youth and mobilize them for the struggle. By joining the Apoist movement in 2010, promised to become a professional revolutionary. Aware of the fact that the most organized power will bring about the greatest revolutionary developments in a process where the spring of the peoples is developing in the Middle East, our comrade Zagros went to Rojavayê Kurdistan. He went to the land where he was born and worked for the freedom of the society he grew up in. He personally witnessed the realization of the Rojava Freedom Revolution and experienced the pride and joy of being one of the revolutionaries who carried out this revolution. In youth, which is the most dynamic and pioneering power of society, he has undertaken every task with love, regardless of small or big. It was based on organizing all peoples in Rojavayê Kurdistan, from the Kurdish people to the Arab people. Acting with the understanding of a democratic nation, which is the antidote to the disease of nationalism, it carried out activities all over Rojavayê Kurdistan and North East Syria.
Mazlum Doğan was included in the training at the Party Central School in order to fulfill her pioneering role more effectively, to deepen in the Apoist paradigm, to find solutions to the problems of struggle, and to carry out the gender and class war more effectively. Our comrade Zagros, who managed to reach an important level of knowledge and experience by deepening in the Apoist ideology, joined the academy environment strongly. As he deepened and concentrated, he also led to the development of his comrades with his knowledge and experience.
Our comrade Zagros, who moved to the military field in 2015, became a commander early with his revolutionary personality, who gained an important level in the Party. He took part in most of the moves to liberate North East Syria. He was seriously injured once in Aleppo by a bullet to the head, and once in Raqqa, he was wounded by a piece of shrapnel on his body. But each time he recovered and returned to his duty with greater enthusiasm and enthusiasm. He took part in the moves to clear the lands of North East Syria from ISIS gangs at all levels, from being a warrior to being a member of a team, regional and provincial command. He was a brave commander who embodied the organizational culture in his personality, made military discipline dominate every moment of his life, and was always on the alert. He pioneered the control and system formation in his field, and he dominated the Party’s morality and organizational functioning. Our comrade Zagros was an exemplary commander who was able to create solutions to every problem of his comrades and guide them with his modest and humble character, constructive style and analytical style. He helped the youth of our Arab people to educate, raise awareness and organize and defend their native land. He played an important role in this sense.
Our comrade Zagros has successfully fulfilled many tasks in the land of his birth, from youth work to brave warrior, from team commander to provincial commander. With the peace of mind of exhibiting a practice worthy of his people and country, he turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan in 2018 and joined the guerrilla ranks. He was involved in the education process at the Haki Karer Academy in order to transfer his important knowledge and experience to the guerrilla, as well as to capture the subtleties and style of the struggle in the mountains. Here, too, he proved that he was ready for important assignments by gaining the love and respect of his comrades with his mature personality and pioneering stance. Our comrade Zagros, who successfully completed the training process, took on a duty as a member of the state command in the Medya Defense Areas as a commander who will play a role in the new era and accelerate our struggle for freedom. He successfully fulfilled his mission and gave his due. Our comrade Zagros, who also took part in special duties and works, became an exemplary commander who did justice to these works.

Our comrade Darav was born in the Feraşîn zozans, in a family belonging to the patriotic Gewda tribe. However, as a result of the oppression and persecution of the genocidal colonialist Turkish state, their villages were burned down and our people in the Feraşîn zozans were forcibly displaced. He grew up with his family in the Xaçort neighborhood of Wan, in a patriotic atmosphere. The patriotism of the Gewda tribe and the Xaçort neighborhood was influential in shaping the personality of our comrade Darav. He recognized the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle at a young age, and became aware of the relentless struggle for existence and freedom of his people. He studied in Turkish public schools for 11 years, but later dropped out when he realized that these schools did not play a role other than assimilation of the Kurds. Martyrdom of our uncle Darav Feraşîn in Besta in 2006, Darav deeply affected our comrade and made him know the struggle better. He believed that it was necessary to follow the footsteps of the martyrs, not to leave their weapons on the ground and to raise the struggle. Our comrade Darav, who embarked on the struggle with this belief, took part in patriotic revolutionary youth work, participated in the demonstrations and played a role in the serhildans. He became one of the minor generals who did not allow the enemy to pass and led the serhildans in the neighborhood of Xaçort. Comrade Darav, who joined the guerrilla in the Feraşîn zozans where he was born, considered his participation in the guerrilla as his second birth. After staying in Feraşîn for a while, he moved to Zap. He received his first guerrilla training here and gained his experience in Zap. Our comrade Darav, who treated Zap’s historical legacy of resistance, its vast guerrilla experience, and its rebellious geography as a great school where guerrillaism is learned, made early progress. He learned to stand on his own feet and to do productive work by focusing on success. He learned how the struggle was organized and carried out by taking part in actions and infrastructure preparations. Our comrade Darav, who also focuses on developing and improving himself ideologically, has read and learned the ideology and philosophy of Rêber Apo with great love.
He moved to Qendil in 2013 and continued to practice there and remained in Qendil until 2015. Later, he went to Mazlum Doğan Party Central School and attended education in an academy environment. Evaluating the systematic training and concentration process strongly, Comrade Darav not only took care of the practical process but also prepared himself for his new term duties. After successfully completing his education, he assumed an important responsibility by taking part in the safety of our Party’s leading cadres. Our party gained important experiences by closely seeing how the PKK carried out the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, the way in which the struggle for organizational line was given, and the vitalization of the Apoist paradigm. By addressing this period as an important turning point in his life of struggle, he accelerated the revolutionary march and participated more effectively.
Comrade Darav became one of the Apoist Fedayeen militants who took up his gun and made their way to Shengal in the process when our oppressed Êzidî people came face to face with the fascist genocidal attacks of ISIS and came to the brink of a great massacre. With his great courage, unwavering stance, practical intelligence and military skills, he took his place in all the moves made on the basis of liberating Shengal. He became a commander who played an important role in the liberation of our Êzidî people and Shengal. Comrade Darav had an exemplary stance with his honesty, humility, self-sacrifice and sincere comradeship. Our comrade Darav, who is deeply devoted to the Apoist ideology, the martyrs and the people, was the owner of the approach that preserves and enlarges the values created by the struggle under all circumstances. Specializing in heavy weapons tactics by training himself in combat, He trained his comrades and brought them to a more effective fighting level. He participated in all the works with a great sense of renunciation and without reckoning.
Our comrade Darav, who combined the noble and valiant essence of the Kurdish people with the Apoist ideology and raised him to the level of heroism in his personality, was martyred in the enemy attack that took place in 2022 while he was on duty.

Our comrade Egîd opened his eyes to life in Gever, which is symbolized by his patriotism and serhildans. He grew up in a patriotic family and environment. He learned to stand on his own feet by starting to work at a young age and by putting effort. Growing up among a people like Gever, who are constantly in a state of serhildan, caused our comrade Egîd to have a resistance character as well. Our comrade Egîd, who has seen and lived closely the Turkish state fascism and the terror it inflicts on the Kurdish people, has gained the consciousness of a strong enemy. The colonialist, genocidal Turkish state never accepted that the Kurdish people were sworn enemies and brutally attacked to root out them. With his reaction to the practices of the Turkish state, he went into search and decided to fight. On this basis, he participated in patriotic revolutionary youth work.
Our comrade Egîd reached the determination to become the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2010 and joined our ranks in Cîlo. He carried out practical activities for 4 months in Bakur conditions in a difficult geography like Cîlo. He received his first education and experience in Bakur environment. The experiences he gained intertwined with practice became the basis of our comrade Egîd’s revolutionary march. Later, our comrade moved to the Medya Defense Areas, where he both participated in practical activities and received academic training to specialize in guerrilla tactics. Comrade Egîd, who specialized in assassination tactics, took the path of Zagroslar with his strong concentration and experience from education. He fought non-stop for 5 years in Zagros, especially in Şemzinan and Gever regions. He mainly took part in self-defense activities and tried to strengthen the self-defense of our people. Knowing that the existence of a people without self-defense will never be guaranteed, it has made great sacrifices to protect the existence of our people and ensure their freedom. Our comrade Egîd’s reassuring stance, sympathetic disposition, and populist character led him to be loved early and respected by the people of the region.
When the colonialist genocidal Turkish state launched the all-out genocidal attacks against our people and our Movement in 2015, our patriotic people did not give in to the enemy attacks and organized their resistance on the basis of self-defense. Gever Self-Government Resistance, which developed on this basis, wrote an important resistance epic that went down in history, albeit at great cost. The fact that our Gever people faced the genocide attacks led our comrade Egîd, who is the true son of these lands and people, to act with a historical responsibility and to be included in this resistance. Comrade Egîd, who moved to Gever and took his place in the self-government resistance, took part in the establishment of the YPS and became one of its leading commanders. In the most disproportionate conditions that history has witnessed, the noble children of the Kurdish people in Gever resisted with their bare hearts against a huge army and all the war techniques at their disposal. Comrade Egîd, one of the self-sacrificing pioneer militants of this resistance, continued his struggle by wrapping his wounds early each time, despite being wounded 4 times during the resistance process. Our comrade Egîd’s unwavering will, fearlessness, high courage and belief in victory were the main features that kept him going even in the most difficult conditions.
After this resistance period, our comrade Egîd, who moved to the Medya Defense Zones, was included in the training process at the Apollo Academy. Our comrade Egîd, who witnessed an epic resistance and was one of the pioneers of it, considered education as an accounting environment, developed the questioning of the deficiencies and inadequacies, gave his self-criticism and made an effort to make a strong debut. At the same time, he fulfilled an important duty by transferring his great knowledge and experience he gained from the martyred comrades next to him to his comrades. After the academy education, he moved to his new duty with the belief of high assertion and victory. Comrade Egîd, who undertook various duties and responsibilities in Medya Defense Zones, gave every responsibility he took. He accomplished all his tasks with great success. Sociable, He knew how to succeed in every work he handled with his ripping and practical features. With his disciplined stance in military work and the selfless spirit he carried, he became the owner of a march without hesitation.
Comrade Egîd, who is deeply attached to the leadership, the martyrs, the people and his comrades, never stopped fighting and did not withdraw himself. He was an exemplary commander who always knew how to be at the forefront and to succeed with his creativity and talent. Our comrade Egîd was martyred in the enemy attack that took place in 2022, while he was at the head of an important task for our people’s struggle for existence and freedom.

Our comrade Judi Berxwedan opened his eyes to life in a patriotic family in the city of Sirnex. He grew up with the ancient patriotic feelings and strong social essence of the Botan people. Our comrade Cûdî left the Turkish public school after studying for 6 years and worked as a worker. He was engaged in agriculture, gardening and learned to live by his own labor. Comrade Cûdî, who became conscious of the Kurdish people’s struggle for existence and freedom at an early age, did not remain indifferent to this relentless resistance. He was interested, wondered, researched, listened to the epics of the Apoist self-defeating heroes from the people of Botan. Comrade Cûdî, who developed a deep sympathy for the Apoist movement, decided to join the guerrilla ranks after Martyr Çîçek Kiçi died in 2011. However, due to his young age, our Party turned down this request and did not allow him to participate. However, our comrade Cûdî, who had decided to join the guerrilla ranks like many noble Botan youths, never gave up on this decision, waited for three years and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2014, which he so longed for. He joined the guerrilla on Mount Judi and took the name Cûdî.
Our comrade Cûdî, who moved to the Medya Defense Zones, received his first basic guerrilla training here. After learning the basic principles of guerrillaism, he quickly got into practice. He became a comrade who was loved and respected by his comrades with his morale personality, excited character and lovable temperament. With his talent in music, he became the prominent face of celebrations and morale, and he translated the feelings of his comrades with his beautiful voice. Comrade Judi, who trained and almost reinvented himself on the basis of the Apoist ideology, made early progress. He joined the PKK life without hesitation and with a great sense of renunciation. He attended the training at the Şehîd Mehmed Goyî Operations School in order to improve the level he had achieved in party life in the art of military service. Here he trained himself to achieve guerrilla tactics and the style of warfare of the period. Then step by step heavy weapon, He then trained and specialized in assassination tactics. Comrade Judi, who as an Apoist guerrilla aimed to specialize in all guerrilla tactics and thus become fully professional, gained an important level by putting great effort. He achieved a stance equivalent to his pioneering mission by creating the qualities of command in his personality. With this level, he led his comrades and gave lectures in military academies and shared what he learned with his comrades. He saw himself responsible for the education of each of his comrades and made a great effort for the development of his comrades with great sensitivity and effort. Our comrade Cûdî, who knew that he would grow by growing his comrade and worked on this basis, played a role in the specialization of many of his comrades. He tried to be successful by handling each task indiscriminately and with a precise measure of success. A self-sacrificing militant in his areas, He became a leading cadre and a commander who managed to become the basic building block of that field. He took command of the team and team level and successfully completed every mission, never failing the trust of his comrades.
He worked and fought in different fields for the freedom of the entire Kurdish people, especially our Êzidî people. It acted with the awareness that strengthening the self-defense of our people is more important than bread and water and tried to strengthen the self-defense of our people. He was able to earn the love and respect of our people in places where he was intertwined with our people. Comrade Cûdî, who joined the ranks of the struggle as a valiant son of the people of Botan, became a young commander who managed to specialize and become professional with his laboring character, practical intelligence, belief in victory, high determination and effort. Our comrade Cûdî died in an enemy attack in Medya Defense Zones in 2021.

Our comrade Salar Atakan was born in a patriotic family in the Nisêbîn district of Mêrdîn. But when he was only 4 years old, he migrated to Dilok with his family and grew up there. Our comrade Salar, the eldest of 5 siblings, was brought up with a strong sense of social morality and patriotism. He studied for 9 years, but he took responsibility in the family early and went into business and helped his family. With the patriotic feelings and consciousness he received from his family, he recognized the freedom struggle of the Kurdish people early on. He was particularly impressed by the martyrdom of many childhood friends in the epic Kobanê Resistance in 2014, and by Hacı Lokman Birlik, who was killed by the inhumane fascist Turkish policemen in 2015 at the Sirnex center and dragged his body after the military vehicle. Witnessing the brutal massacres carried out by the Turkish state during the Self-Government Resistance that developed in Kurdistan between 2015 and 2016 increased the pain in the heart of our comrade Salar and the anger against the enemy. It decided to fight against the reckless terror of the colonialist, genocidal Turkish state, which attacked the Kurdish people with unlimited hostility. Our comrade Salar, who was also affected by the Rojava Freedom Revolution, aimed to breathe the air of revolution and become a revolutionary. He gained an important level with his unwavering participation and hardworking personality. He was trained in academies to master the art of military service and specialize in guerrilla tactics. He specialized in medium automatic weapons and assassination tactics. With his honest, sincere and sincere comradeship, Comrade Salar won the love and respect of every comrade he stayed with, and knew how to leave deep traces. His courageous personality, open nature to learning, high intelligence, curious and creative character enabled him to become competent in guerrilla tactics.
