“The attacks developed by the colonialist Turkish state by mobilizing all its strength in the Medya Defense Zones, where an epic resistance continues, are thwarted by the selfless struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. Our comrades Viyan, Serhildan and Ferhat, who were the pioneers of this epic resistance, achieved martyrdom in this blessed struggle and managed to imprint their names in the history of freedom of our people. These heroic comrades, who spent every moment fighting for the freedom of our people, will always be remembered and kept alive in our struggle with their self-sacrificing personalities, their passion for freedom, their efforts and sacrifices.
We express our condolences to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially the esteemed families of our comrades Viyan, Serhildan and Ferhat, and reiterate our promise that we will follow our comrades’ dreams.

The ancient city of Kurdistan, Nisêbîn, became an area that first embraced our freedom struggle, which started under the leadership of our party PKK, and lit the fuse of our national revival with the serhildans it developed. Our people of Nisêbîn, who are bound to our party with unbreakable ties, became the most valuable example of patriotism in Kurdistan by joining their most precious sons to our struggle for freedom. Again, he was able to show his stance in an honorable life by insisting on resistance against all the attacks of the enemy. Undoubtedly, the resilient women of Nisêbîn, who were shaped on the neolithic cultural heritage, led this resistance. Just as it played a role in the protection of the Kurdish language and culture against all the assimilation and genocidal attacks of the enemy, it also knew how to resist the torture and massacres of the enemy with weapons in its hands. Our comrade Viyan was born in a patriotic family dominated by this sacred tradition. The martyrdom of our uncle comrade Abdullah in 1996 made a great impression on the family of our comrade Viyan, and they considered it their duty to pass on his heroism and epic life to all their children. Our comrade Viyan grew up with the heroic epics of his uncle, Martyr Abdullah and hundreds of guerrillas, and was able to raise his heart and consciousness with these memories. Our comrade, who became more aware of the genocidal reality of the enemy when he was younger, thought that this enemy reality must be fought against. Again, the position of women in society and the constant confrontation with oppression and violence became another reason for our comrade Viyan’s struggle. Aware that this struggle is also meaningless apart from guerrilla warfare, our comrade waited impatiently for the moment when he would join the guerrilla ranks. Our comrade Viyan, who could not create the suitable conditions for joining the guerrilla against his wishes, was deeply affected by the martyrdom of our comrade Martyr Akîf in Nisêbîn, and he searched more frequently. Again, the Rojava Freedom Revolution that took place right next to it and the attacks against this revolution were also effective in the decision of our comrade Viyan.
For this, our comrade, who went to the Rojava area at the first opportunity he got, joined the revolutionary struggle here. Our comrade, who transferred to the military units after a short training period, quickly developed himself militarily in order to be included in the intense war process. Being aware of the fact that responding to the enemy attacks that took place requires a disciplined military stance as well as ideological depth and high level of determination, he considered it his duty to train himself. Our comrade Viyan, who sets an example for all his comrades with this feature, was able to maintain this stance in the moves he participated in. Our comrade Viyan, who participated in the revolutionary moves developed because ISIS gangs coveted our people’s gains and attacked our people with the support of the genocidal Turkish state, became a leading female fighter with her success in these moves. The martyrdom of his relative Comrade Çekdar-Abdullah Elçioğlu in the war against the gangs caused great anger in our comrade Viyan, and he became aware of the fact that taking revenge for all our martyrs in the person of Martyr Çekdar requires enlarging his struggle. Our comrade Viyan, who fulfilled his mission of pioneering in every environment with an inexhaustible energy, went to Shengal after the attacks against our Êzidî people and continued his struggle here. Our comrade, who returned to Rojava after the gang attacks against Shengal were broken, received training in the branch of sabotage in order to deepen in military tactics. After successfully completing his education, our comrade turned to practice again, and prevented possible massacres by neutralizing hundreds of mines laid by ISIS mercenaries to massacre our civilian population. Our comrade, who was in the resistance ranks against the invading Turkish state’s attacks on North East Syria in 2017, was injured in an airstrike in an area close to Manbij. However, our comrade, who managed to heal his wound in a short time, entered into a deep concentration in order to make bigger breakthroughs. After the treatment process, our comrade Viyan, who became more knowledgeable and took his place in the struggle, enlarged his struggle even more by assuming the task of unit commander. Our comrade Viyan, who was an exemplary female militant with her stance in the Rojava area where she was until the end of 2019, her sincerity in her comradeship and her brave participation in the war, has been an inspiration to women all over the world. Our comrade, who has been struggling with a non-stop pace for the 6 years he has been in the Rojava area, When he believed that he had successfully fulfilled his mission here, he sought to come to the mountains of Kurdistan, which he yearned for. He turned to the mountains of Kurdistan at the end of 2019, both to fight the invading Turkish state more effectively and to integrate with the guerrilla life, which he admired from an early age.
Our comrade Viyan, who experienced an indescribable excitement and enthusiasm when he first came to the mountains, quickly became integrated with the mountain and guerrilla life. Our comrade, who stands out with his dedication and hardworking personality, started his education at Mahsum Korkmaz Academy to improve himself in ideological and military art. Our comrade Viyan, who had the opportunity to analyze his personality with the concentrations he made throughout his education process, managed to overcome them by analyzing the features that held him back from struggling more. Our comrade, who prioritized deepening in the line of women’s freedom, succeeded in drawing important results with the concentrations he experienced. Our comrade Viyan, who showed these concentrations with his militant stance, knew how to be a pioneer in this matter in life. Our comrade, who managed to be a source of morale for his comrades with his stance as well as his talents in music and theater, is the joy of life, With his passion for freedom and his keenness in struggle, he became a YJA Star guerrilla that all his comrades take as an example. Our comrade, who moved to the Garê area as a team commander after the training process, participated in studies in this area for about 2 years. Our comrade Serhildan was born in Silopia, one of the important resistance centers of Botan, in a patriotic family. Comrade Serhildan, who knew our Party from an early age due to the patriotic nature of his family and environment, has been involved in patriotic and revolutionary youth work since his early youth. During his work, he witnessed the enemy’s attempt to de-identify Kurdish youth by removing them from the struggle. Our comrade, who was conscious of the use of all kinds of special warfare methods in order to make these policies of the enemy successful, started his struggle from himself for the first time. Our comrade, who started to purify himself from the effects he created on the enemy and which he saw as a means of alienating himself from his own identity, later decided to expand this struggle even more. Our comrade Serhildan, who works to raise the awareness of the young people who are affected by the genocidal policy of the enemy and its special war practices, has made an important effort and effort in this sense. Our comrade, who is more committed to the struggle, has been in constant resistance against the oppression, torture and massacres of the enemy against our people. In 2014, when there were ISIS attacks on Kobanê, the murder of children in the enemy attacks in Silopia and Cizîr against our people, who went down to the fields to support the people of Kobanê, caused great anger in our comrade Serhildan. Our comrade, who believed that the revenge of the Kurdish children who were killed in the middle of the street, must be taken, was aware that this also consisted of joining the guerrilla ranks.
Our comrade Serhildan, who joined the guerrilla in a period when the colonial Turkish state launched the most intense attacks in its history against our people and our Movement within the framework of the ‘Plan of Collapse’, started his guerrilla life with the awareness of the responsibility he took. Our comrade, who had the opportunity to develop himself ideologically and militarily with the training he received, quickly adapted to the mountain and guerrilla life. Benefiting from the experiences of his comrades, our comrade Serhildan managed to become a competent guerrilla at a young age.
Our comrade, who stands out with his honest participation and stance that reassures his comrades, took part in critical works that are extremely important for our Party. Comrade Serhildan, who participated in the works under the command of our esteemed commander Martyr Bedran Gundikremo, won the respect and love of his comrades with his hardworking and self-sacrificing nature. Our comrade, who showed a superior performance in the work he took part in for 5 years, always recommended himself for the most difficult tasks and made a tremendous effort to achieve these tasks. With his unwavering participation, our comrade, who succeeded in defeating the enemy’s highly trusted technique many times, proved the invincibility of the Apoist will many times in his own person. Although he was injured twice in the enemy attacks, he recovered in a short time thanks to his belief and devotion to freedom and got involved in the works.
After his proposal was accepted, he was sent to training to deepen himself in Apoist ideology and new era guerrilla tactics. Our comrade Serhildan, who made great breakthroughs with his willing participation in the training process and his insistence on improving himself, joined the mobile guerrilla teams, which have strategic importance in our new period guerrilla warfare. Our comrade Serhildan, who knows how to use many weapons with an expert degree, turned to practical work with the awareness of the historical responsibility he assumed by joining the mobile guerrilla teams. Our comrade, who first served in the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area, where great resistance took place and the enemy was crushed, succeeded in relieving the burden of his comrades resisting in the tunnels by taking part in many actions carried out here. Comrade Serhildan, who is constantly in action against the enemy, and his companions were instrumental in breaking the enemy. Our comrade Serhildan, who later moved to the Metîna area, continued to increase the pace of struggle here as well. Our comrade Serhildan, who conveyed the experiences he gained from the past years to his comrades, was on the one hand training his comrades, and on the other hand, he was preparing for action against the enemy’s genocidal attacks. Our people of Rojhilatê Kurdistan managed to protect their language, culture and most importantly, their passion for freedom by continuing their existence by strengthening their sociality even more against the invasion, massacre and genocide attacks that have lasted for centuries. Our people, who always insisted on the pursuit of freedom against all the attacks of the invading states, never stopped paying the price for it. Our people, who transferred this culture of resistance from generation to generation, made the Kurdistan cause history by removing pioneers such as Simko Şikak, Qazi Muhammed, Abdurrahman Qasimlo and Sadiq Şerefkendi. Thousands of Kurdish youth from Rojhilat, who grew up on this tradition of resistance, joined the ranks of our Party, believing that the PKK and the martyrs could achieve their goals. Especially during the International Conspiracy process against Rêber Apo, hundreds of Rojhilat youth turned their faces to the mountains and took their places in the struggle. This process, which represents a new era for Rojhilatê Kurdistan, continues uninterruptedly until today. Our comrade Ferhat, the last link of this resistance tradition, was born in a patriotic family in Bane, Rojhilatê Kurdistan. Due to the patriotism of his family, he was brought up in accordance with the ancient Kurdish traditions. The colonial conditions our people were living in, and the enemy attacks in other parts of Kurdistan as well as in Rojhilatê Kurdistan caused our comrade Ferhat to feel great anger against the enemy. At the same time, he focused on the most correct method of struggle by following the ongoing freedom struggles all over Kurdistan. Our comrade Ferhat, whose concentration turned into a search over time, was of course convinced that any option other than armed struggle could not ensure the freedom of our people. For this, our Party especially tried to research and better understand the epic resistance of almost 40 years against the invading Turkish state under the leadership of the PKK, the struggle on the line of sacrifice against the inhumane ISIS gangs, and the Rojava Freedom Revolution, in which this struggle became concrete. Comrade Ferhat, who came to the conclusion that only the PKK represents the freedom line in Kurdistan with the concentrations he experienced, tried to get to know the PKK better through some of his friends. Our comrade Ferhat, who was influenced by the philosophy of Leader Apo and turned this philosophy into a life manifest for him, was influenced by the perspectives of the cadres, the social morality they acquired, and the sincerity in their comradely relations, also decided to become a passenger of this path.
Comrade Ferhat, who joined the guerrilla ranks with a great assertion, unwavering determination and will of steel, had an unwavering participation from the very beginning of his guerrilla life for the sacred goals he wanted to realize. Our comrade, who had the opportunity to better understand the Leadership philosophy with the trainings he received; When he saw the equivalent of this in guerrilla life, he embraced life even more. Our comrade, who became more clear in the world of consciousness as he deepened in the trainings, gained great experience in a short time. Our comrade Ferhat, who prepared himself for the most difficult war conditions with the military training he received, moved to practical working areas as a competent guerrilla. Our comrade, who was a guerrilla in the Qendil field for a while, had the chance to put into practice the knowledge he learned in the trainings here. Our comrade, who analyzed the problems he encountered in practical studies in depth, also succeeded in making himself a solution power by revealing the solutions to them. Despite being new in the guerrilla ranks, our comrade, who gave confidence to his comrades with whom he fought with his mature personality, became a source of morale for his comrades with his meaningful strans. Our comrade Ferhat, who had great aims such as liberating our people while joining the guerrilla ranks, never gave up on this aim and concentration for a single moment, and always lived a life suitable for this purpose. For this, our comrade, who did not isolate himself from the existing war process, prepared himself both ideologically and militarily at every moment. He benefited from the experiences of his comrades, especially by conducting research on the guerrilla tactics of the new period. Our comrade, who did not forget for a moment the fact that the war can only be won after a good preparation stage, acted with this awareness until the day he went to the hot battlefields. When he felt fully prepared, he suggested going to areas where the war was intense, without hesitation and resolutely. The suggestion of our comrade Ferhat, who gave confidence to our organization with his level of concentration and assertive and determined stance, was accepted and it was decided to move to the mobile guerrilla teams that played a major role in the war.
Our comrade Ferhat, who went to the Metîna area with the mobile teams he was in, waited with great enthusiasm and excitement for the moment when he would strike the enemy. Our comrade, who is constantly planning action against the enemy with the excitement of getting the results of his deep concentration, deepened the concentration of his other comrades along with himself. Our comrade, who fulfilled his pioneering role in this respect, succeeded in taking part in many actions against the enemy in the field of Metina. Our comrade, who helped the enemy take heavy blows in these actions, experienced the happiness of being worthy of our martyrs, albeit a bit. But our comrade Ferhat, who is aware that it is only possible to be worthy of our martyrs, our Leader and our people, has always been in search and effort to fight harder.
On this basis, our comrade Ferhat, who was martyred in the enemy attack on 25 June 2023 while he was on duty, became a militant that we will always take as an example. As the fighters of our comrade Ferhat’s dream of realizing the freedom of our people, we will try to be worthy of all our martyrs in his person.”
