UPDATED – Clashes continue in Zap! 2 helicopters hit, 4 invaders punished!

BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center made a written statement regarding the invasion attacks and guerrilla actions.

HPG said, “Our forces in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area continue to strike the invading Turkish army with creative tactics led by mobile teams. In the night connecting July 24 to July 25, the invading Turkish army bombed the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area and the Martyr Delîl Batı Zap region dozens of times from the ground and air. After intense bombardments, he tried to land with helicopters to different parts of the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area. Our forces bravely intercepted these helicopters 19 times and struck 2 Sikorsky helicopters. As a result of the actions of our forces; 4 invaders were punished and 1 invader was injured. At the same time, 1 mobesse camera system and arsenal were destroyed.”

Details of the actions carried out by the guerrilla forces and the attacks of the Turkish army are as follows:

“Gever region;

  • At 06:00 on July 24, the invading Turkish army launched an operation in the Pagê, Tilora and Tuçeyan areas of Gever. This operation continues.

Martyr Delîl West Zap region;

  • Between 01:20 and 01:50 on July 24, helicopters that wanted to land on the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were attacked with heavy weapons 4 times. 1 Skorsky helicopter was hit and had to leave the area.
  • At 06:00 on July 24, the invaders who took action in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were hit and hit and the movement of the invaders was stopped.
  • At 10:10 on July 24, the invaders who wanted to conduct reconnaissance activities in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were targeted by our YJA Star moving teams with an assassination tactic, and 2 invaders were punished. At the same time, 1 mobesse camera system and arsenal belonging to the invaders were shot down and destroyed.
  • At 14:10 on July 24, the invaders trying to position themselves in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area were targeted with the assassination tactic and 1 invader was punished.
  • On July 24, at 19:30, 1 tent of the invaders in the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area was targeted and hit with medium automatic weapons. 1 invader was punished and 1 invader was injured.
  • From 00:15 to 03:00 on 25 July, the invading Turkish army tried to land the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area with helicopters. These helicopters were intercepted 15 times by our forces, 1 Skorsky helicopter was hit and had to leave the area without being able to land.

The attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army;

  • On July 24 and 25, the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area of ​​the Martyr Delîl West Zap region was 11 times, the Girê Amediyê Resistance Area 10 times, the Girê Bahar Resistance Area 6 times, and the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area in Metîna once; It was bombed with warplanes 28 times in total.
  • On 25 July, the Girê Cûdî Resistance Area of ​​the Martyr Delîl West Zap region was bombed 17 times with attack helicopters.
  • On July 24, at 16:20, the Girê Ortê Resistance Area was bombed once by the invading Turkish army’s kamikaze drone.
  • Zap, Martyr Delîl West Zap and Metîna regions were bombed dozens of times with artillery.”
