Our party, the PKK, which developed under the leadership of Rêber Apo in a process where the capitalist system brought societies to the brink of extinction, resurrected our oppressed people, who were dying under the attacks of denial and destruction, and became the hope of a free future for all the oppressed, especially women and youth. The historical freedom march that Rêber Apo started under the most difficult conditions and despite all the impossibilities was welcomed by our patriotic people with the spirit of resurrection, and the brave sons of Kurdistan poured into the ranks of the struggle and added strength to this blessed march. Our Serhed region, which has been subjected to intense attacks by the colonialists many times throughout history and has responded to every attack with resistance, has been one of the areas where our party PKK developed rapidly and became popular and greeted with serhildans. Our Serhed people, who have been subjected to many attacks by the invading Turkish state due to their strong patriotic identity and their intense support for the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, have never bowed to the colonialists. The colonialist Turkish state, which could not prevent our developing struggle, tried to depopulate Kurdistan by forcibly emigrating our patriotic people. The family of our comrade Koçerîn, who was born in the Dîgor district of Qers, had to migrate to Istanbul due to this genocidal policy of the enemy, and our comrade Koçerîn grew up here. Our patriotic city of Afrin, one of the centers of Kurdistan culture and resistance, has a special place in our resistance history with its heavenly nature and combative identity.
