BEIRUT – The workshop, organized in cooperation with the Permanent Federal Congress of Lebanon, Newroz Cultural Association, Multicultural East Platform, Demokratia Novu Orao Seclorum and RESILIENT BEIRUT, started in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Many lawyers, politicians and academics from Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, South Africa, Iran, Turkey, Kurdistan and Northern and Eastern Syria attended the workshop.
According to the information given by Alfred Riachi, the founder and Secretary General of the Permanent Federal Congress of Lebanon, more than 200 personalities from Kurdistan, the Middle East and the world will attend the workshop.
On the first day of the conference, Alfred Riachi and the participants will make speeches, after which the topics of the first and second sessions will be discussed.
The subject of the first session will be “Global conflict and its effects in the Middle East”. In the session, the global conflict, its causes and its effects in the Middle East and North Africa, the effects of the crisis in Lebanon and solution methods will be discussed. In addition, the management problem in the Middle East will also be evaluated.
The topic of the second session is titled “Government of the people and obstacles in front of it”. The International Conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, its causes and effects, the current situation of Abdullah Öcalan, the torture system in Imrali and the struggle to defeat the conspiracy will be discussed.
In the third session of the workshop titled “The foundations of the Renaissance in the Middle East”, the intellectual and moral revolution, the democratic nation and the women’s revolution will be discussed and a cine-vision on the women’s revolution will be shown.
The fourth session of the workshop will be held with the title “Towards the Democratic Middle East”. In this session, the common strategy for the construction of a democratic Middle East, the joint efforts to implement a democratic confederation in the Middle East, and the solution methods of the refugee problem in the region, especially in Syria, will be discussed.
In the workshop, which started with the Lebanese national anthem, firstly, a cine-vision about war, crisis, revolution, oppression and corruption was watched.
Alfred Riachi, the founder and Secretary General of the Permanent Federal Congress of Lebanon, who made the opening speech, said, “For peace in the Middle East, there must be democracy far from numbers (finger democracy). Stating that they offer a collective and equal form among all segments of society, Alfred Riachi said, “We do not want difference and divisiveness, on the contrary, we are libertarian. We were born free, we live free and we will die free.”
Ehmed Behaeddin Şaban, President of the Socialist Egypt Party, who took the floor afterwards, called for unity in the Middle East and warned about trust in the USA. Şaban said, “Just as we secured the freedom of Nelson Mandela, we must also be united for the physical freedom of Önder Öcalan.”
