BEHDİNAN – The two bodyguards of Kurdistan, Xebat and Zana, fought until their last breath within the framework of the Martyr Diljîn-Şervan Erkendî Campaign in the Omerya area of Merdin. Martyrs Xebat and Zana, who resisted heroically against the enemy, recorded their last moments on their way to martyrdom and showed the whole world that no one can break the will of the Apoist militants.
Martyrs Xebat and Zana, who came into conflict with the Turkish army on September 4, 2022, effectively hit the enemy forces at close range with hand grenades and individual weapons. The Turkish state, which suffered great losses in the face of this resistance, launched a comprehensive invasion attack on the Omerya area on September 5th. The area where HPG guerrillas Xebat and Zana were resisting relentlessly for two days was bombed by the enemy 6 times with warplanes and 2 times with attack helicopters. Despite these bombardments, the enemy, who was unsuccessful against these two brave warriors of Kurdistan, attacked the position of the armored buckets Xebat and Zana. However, the ladles are also struck by the martyrs Xebat and Zana.
From 2013 to 2022, Kurdistan’s self-defeating fighters, Xebat and Zana, fought in Kurdistan, in the cities, in the mountains, against ISIS, the Turkish army and all counter-invading forces polluting their lands. They managed to escape from the enemy’s circle, although they were often injured. ‘Berxwedan jiyan e’ was the last message of freedom fighters Xebat and Zana, who resisted against the enemy with their steel will until the last moment.
‘WE WILL FIGHT TO THE LAST BULLET’
One of the pioneer militants of the Freedom Movement, Xebat Kop (Yunus Kardağı) grew up in a patriotic family from Muş. Zana Rojda (Ramazan Güçlü) was born in Silopia to a family from Cizîra Botan and the Harunî tribe, and in 2014 she embarks on a revolutionary life. We share the last moments recorded by Xebat and Zana, who fought in the ranks of the PKK for many years.
Xebat Kop, who wants to give his last message, turns on the recorder. At the first moment, the voice of the martyr Xebat is heard and he says, ‘We will strangle the enemy here’. Then the martyr Zana Rojda speaks; “Greetings and love. Last night, at 9.20 am, we clashed with the enemy in the village of Serê Kaniyê in the Omerya area. The enemy has been conducting search operations in the area for a long time. We are in our battle positions. We are now at war with the enemy. We are fighting and resisting”. Meanwhile, Xebat Kop’s voice rises. Like Hayri, Kemal and Mazlum, he says ‘Berxwedan jiyan e’.
Martyr Zana continues his speech as follows: “We are enthusiastic and morale. If our voice is heard by our friends, they should know that; we are in resistance. We can’t get out of here. We will fight to the last bullet. We love all our comrades. We trust our party. Those before us were also faithful and determined. We are successful and happy. We are based on the path of our friends before us, who led us with determination and faith. We will fight to the last bullet. The enemy has now withdrawn from our resistance and is attacking us with bombs from the air.
It is now 1:16 in the afternoon, and the enemy has attacked our positions at 12:50. We will wait and fight to the last bullet. We burned all our organizational materials and belongings so that they would not fall into the hands of the enemy when we were martyred. According to him, we made our plan and we will fight the enemy until the end. If we create an opportunity, we will leave, but even if we do not have the opportunity, we will not give the enemy the happiness of capturing us.
The enemy is now calling for surrender. We responded to this call of the enemy with a bomb. We give the necessary answer to the enemy, and they come at us with bullets and bombs. There is a fierce battle between us and the enemy. We will fight resolutely to the end and respond to the enemy on the basis of resistance. Maybe we will be martyred here, but we believe until the end that our party will win. It will never be defeated. We give our self-criticism to the leadership, all our friends and our people.” Zana ends his speech with the slogan “Bijî Serok Apo”.
THIS ROAD IS THE ROAD OF HONOR AND HONOR
After Zana, Xebat gives the following message in the audio recording: “We have been with the PKK for a long time. Since the day we joined, we have taken part in the works with great pleasure and enthusiasm. We had shortcomings, we could not answer our martyred friends. If we had not had our shortcomings, the enemy could not have invaded Kurdistan lands in this way, and could not have called for surrender to the Kurdistan guerrillas. This is a great sadness for us. We do not accept this situation. We will resist and fight until the last minute, the last second. If we are going to be martyred, let’s die like Zîlan, like Mazlum, like Kemal. Our way is their way and we will not turn from this way.”
Meanwhile, martyr Xebat coldly says to his comrade Zana, “The enemy has come to Zana, shoot a few bullets”. It is understood from the audio recording that a heated conflict has begun. Martyr Xebat continues his speech as follows: “Once again, I wish success to all my friends. We hand over the promise we made to the martyrs to you. This is the road of honor and honor. No one should turn this way. We know that in such a process, such martyrdom, that is, such losses that we will experience with you today, will be very heavy for you. But know this, no matter what happens, we trust you, we believe in our organization, I believe that we will meet again if we are martyrs.
Once again, I convey my greetings and love to my guerrilla friends and all comrades. We had discussions with many friends about the sex struggle in life. This is the reality of ‘Jin Jiyan Azadi’. We are in this consciousness. We believe that everyone will be conscious of this. On this basis, we convey our greetings to the Leader, our comrades and the leadership of our party. The PKK flag will always fly, it will never come down. The resistance of the PKK will always be at the highest level and we, as the militants of this organization, will always resist, fight and try to raise this flag.” Like every Apoist militant, martyr Xebat’s last words are “Biji Serok Apo, Biji Serok Apo, Sehid namirin”.
