Martyr Zîlan carried out a self-defense action on 30 June 1996. What was the process like at that time, and against what was this action taken?

First of all, I commemorate all the martyrs of June in the person of Martyr Zîlan with gratitude and bow respectfully before their memories. We reiterate our promise to our martyrs in the person of Heval Zîlan, Sema, Gulan and Leyla Agirî. June is the month of martyrs, but also the party of PKK martyrs. We bow respectfully before our martyrs. We owe it to our martyrs. There is a lockdown on Rêber Apo today. The Kurdish people, Kurdish women, in the person of Rêber Apo, want to destroy the Kurdish identity. In 1996, it carried out major operations against the guerrilla all over Kurdistan. At that time, he was making attacks to besiege, strike and destroy the guerrilla. We cannot consider today independently of that period. Because the enemy is doing the same today as he was attacking the Kurdish people that day. The aim of the enemy is always to invade our country, It was to destroy the Kurdish people and the guerrilla. That’s why they first targeted the leader of the Kurdish people and the guerrilla. At that time, the enemy attacked the Leader’s area in Damascus with sabotage.

International forces and the Turkish MIT organized a joint conspiracy. They aimed to win the war by eliminating Rêber Apo. The leadership, the guerrilla and the Kurdish people are interconnected like flesh and nails. With the paradigm of Rêber Apo, he was training and preparing thousands of cadre-commanders in the field, sending them to the fields, sending them in the society. Rêber Apo’s method against the occupation was to educate people, to prepare them for war and politics, to prepare them for their diplomas, to prepare women who struggle for a free society, a free identity and do not bow to the system. The work carried out by Rêber Apo was essentially shaking the system. From the beginning of our movement until today, conspiracies, attacks, extensive operations and massacres have been carried out in the person of Rêber Apo. Of course, against this, the spirit developed by our movement, Rêber Apo, is resistance to the end.

That’s why today the Kurdish people are targeted in the person of Rêber Apo. But now the whole world embraces Rêber Apo’s philosophy and paradigm. Because this paradigm line of freedom is not only for the Kurdish people, but for all women in the world, for all captive peoples. Many writers, academics, intellectuals, artists, unions, Europe and many other countries support Rêber Apo. Rêber Apo is the Kurdish people, the people of the Middle East, not an ordinary person. It has been the hope of the peoples against the invaders and the capitalist system. While the system has nothing left to give to the peoples, Rêber Apo is promising, promising, that’s why it is targeted. The Imrali isolation was an isolation against the peoples, the guerrilla and women. We are all isolated in the person of Rêber Apo. Denial and annihilation attacks against the guerrillas and the Kurdish people in 1996 still exist today.

Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan named Zîlan the manifesto of life, a goddess, after the sacrifice action. What is the reason for this naming?

Rêber Apo is everything to the guerrilla, he is the brain and heart of the guerrilla. Rêber Apo is our identity, our future. If there is leadership, we are there. We are the fighters of Rêber Apo. On June 30, 1996, a great sacrifice action was carried out by our great pioneer, the goddess martyr Zîlan. The meaning and importance of this action was a new stage both for the women’s army and for our movement. It was also a new tactic in terms of action. Heval Zîlan killed many enemy soldiers with this action. So the action had a strong result. This was also effective in our war. Heval Zîlan both gave a strong response to the conspiracy against Serok Apo and was an effective response to the attacks on the guerrilla. Heval Zîlan herself planned and carried out this action. He saw the future; He saw the attacks against our movement, Rêber Apo.

The place and place where Heval Zîlan took action is also very important. Heval Zîlan has Besê and Zarife in his soul. She protested in a place like Dersim, which is notorious for women insurgents. The women of Dersim have always been in search of freedom, the search for freedom has never disappeared in those lands. That’s why Heval Zîlan took the action in the center of Dersim, inside the celebrating enemy. It is a very effective action, it has had enormous consequences. You can’t build up police, soldiers, gendarmes all over our lands to the enemy, you can’t put your power everywhere. Those who don’t accept this, gave the message that there is a strong will against this.

The leadership covered heval Zîlan’s action very broadly. He called it a manifesto, as you said. Manifesto means determining how to act, showing the path to freedom and how to draw a map. Heval Zîlan showed how to fight in a line, how to fight against the enemy and the genocidal attacks, and how to take action. The Leadership gave the best meaning to Heval Zîlan’s action and named it. Made many comments. Again, the goddess is the one who manages the society, creates the culture and moral values ​​for the society, organizes the society. So the goddess means the power of society. But the dominant system does not want women to have power, will and rights in society. But Zîlan addressed a community with his action. He revealed his strength and will in the guerrilla. If you take strong vengeance on this system, you will become a pioneer,

As you know, in September 2022, Sara Tolhildan and Rûken Zelal carried out a sacrifice action in Mersin. What lesson did these two selfless warriors who followed Zîlan teach the invaders?

In the person of pioneer Zîlan, the PKK became the party of the Fedayeen. In our movement, the line of the bouncer and the actions of the bouncers grew in waves. In every critical process, every time the enemy attacks our people and the guerrilla, heroic bouncers emerge. The PKK has given every fighter this philosophy, this spirit. Friends like Zîlan, Sara, Rûken are leading the way. Heval Zîlan also gave a strong response to the enemy in an extraordinary process in 1996. In other words, the enemy has to be aware that Serok Apo is the bodyguard of the Kurdish people. In 2022, the enemy was attacking the guerrilla with all kinds of weapons. With his technical power, mercenaries and gangs, he was carrying out operations in Medya Defense Zones under the name ‘Pençe Kilit’ and again in Başûr under the name ‘Eren blockade’. In the field of democratic politics, he continued his political genocide operations. There was a fierce war going on. Heval Sara and Ruken, He avenged the Imrali isolation of the murdered Kurdish children, the martyr Şoreş Beytüşebap, the sick prisoners sentenced to death in the dungeons. A strong response was given to those who said that the guerrilla is over, disappeared, and cannot take action. The self-sacrificing spirit created by Heval Zîlan appeared in Mersin in the person of martyrs Sara and Rûken. These are great prices, the spirit of vengeance. Fedailik is the style of resistance, struggle and heroism.

This self-sacrificing spirit appeared in the person of heval Zana and heval Xebat in Mêrdîn. Heval Zana gave a strong message to the Kurdish youth and the Kurdish people with his actions and statements. If we live on our land, we will either live free or fight you until our last bullet, we will not surrender, we will not accept slavery. We have willpower, we have philosophy and paradigm. “You are occupying our lands,” he said. Heval Zana and heval Xebat gave a very strong message in the line of bouncers. When we look at the examples of revolution in the world, such heroes are too few to be counted with fingers, but in our movement, this self-sacrificing spirit removes fear against the enemy and creates courage against attacks.

Sara, Rûken, Zana, Xebat, Bager and Avzem inherited the line of sacrifice created by Leyla Sorxwîn, Zîlan. Heval Leyla Sorxwîn was also a pioneer of our women’s movement. All of these friends followed in the footsteps of martyr Zîlan and Sema Yüce. On this occasion, I also respectfully commemorate Leyla Sorxwîn.

Thousands of women joined the ranks under the name Zîlan, we can say that the women’s army became the army of the Zîlans. Many female friends were again impressed by Leyla Sorxwîn’s participation, simplicity, modesty, professionalism and companionship in the guerrilla. Both Heval Leyla Sorxwîn and Hêjar Zozan followed Zîlan’s footsteps. Heval Hêjar was selflessly prepared for every work and task. For example, heval Hêjar used the line of sacrifice in his companionship and life. In the battle of Heftanîn, he wanted to strike the enemy with great anger. He played a major role in Heftanîn, where the war was intense, following in the footsteps of Zîlan as a commander and pioneer. In line with this, in the last statement of the HPG, our international comrade Asya, our German comrade Azad, and heval Koçer, who was from Rojhilat, were martyred in Xakurkê. What brings these comrades together is the spirit of sacrifice.

EVERYONE SEES HOPE IN OUR PARTY, YJA STAR AND HPG

Although our movement declared a ceasefire, the enemy never stopped. The enemy’s attacks and bombardments continued on Cûdî Hill, Girê FM and Zap areas. The attacks against the guerrilla did not stop, neither in the earthquake nor in the election. Our movement against this ended the ceasefire decision. After this decision was taken, the guerrilla took effective actions. In Botan, the Turkish state and the village guards massacred the nature of Kurdistan; The guerrilla took a very effective action against them. In Xakurkê, strong actions were carried out with a self-sacrificing spirit in the person of heval Asya, Azad and Koçer. In addition, the friends gave a strong message to the enemy with sabotage tactics in the Metîna area. This is the spirit inherited from Zîlans, Saras, Rûkens, Leyla Sorxwîns, Hêjars.

Heval Asya was an international warrior. This movement, Rêber Apo, is fighting only for Kurdish women, the Kurdish people. Peoples whose rights have been usurped, women, whoever they are, are giving their direction to the free mountains, to our movement. There are no human values ​​left in society. When there is no value, humanity, the search for the future begins. Everyone sees hope in our party, YJA Star and HPG. Heval Asya is one of them. Heval Azad, who is also German, is one of them. Heval Raperîn Koçer was martyred in Bakur and heval Aryana Zap. Heval Rêzan, also one of the HPG commanders, fought for many years in Dersim, Zîlan’s place, and led his comrades. Heval Rêzan was a friend from Merdin. He mostly stayed in guerrilla areas. He was a professional, willing and strong-willed comrade. He was known as a hard worker and self-sacrificing person in our movement. Martyrdom affected many young friends in that region. Again, the people of Dersim loved heval Rêzan very much, they saw hope in him. We must own up to the actions, lives and struggles of these friends.

The Turkish state is targeting pioneer Kurdish women in Rojava. Finally, Qamishlo Canton Co-Chair Yusra Derwêş, Vice-President Leyman Şiwêş (Reyhan Amude) and Assembly Member Firat Tûma were killed as a result of the attacks of the Turkish state. Why is the Turkish state targeting pioneer Kurdish women?

Mesrur ​​Barzani and Hakan Fidan had a meeting recently. Again, the Astana meeting was held in Moscow. Syria, Türkiye, Iran and Russia also attended the meeting. The AKP-MHP regime also formed the new cabinet. They want to make a new move with this cabinet. They are making preparations for a new attack on Rojava, on the guerrilla areas, on the political area in Bakur. Rêber Apo’s paradigm came to life in Rojava, there was a revolution, and many gains were made again. A great price was paid for this, a great struggle was given. Now different powers want to settle here. Erdogan, Putin, America has plans on Rojava. Erdogan wants to achieve his Ottoman dreams. When he won the elections, he felt like he was going to conquer the world. They want to destroy the existence of the Kurdish people in Rojava and the system they have established. Russia, Iran,

In the system built in Rojava, women take an active part in politics, diplomacy and military. Heval Yusra Derwêş and Reyhan Amûde were pioneers in social field studies, women’s studies, they had roles and missions. Just as the invaders targeted Hevrîn Helef with the hand of ISIS, they killed Heval Yusra Derwêş, heval Reyhan Amude and Fırat Tûma with another assassination. If you notice, heval Yusra made statements reacting to the isolation imposed on Rêber Apo the day before. He pioneered the work to end the isolation. The Turkish MIT and the Turkish state target women who lead the society, do women’s work and plan. Because the invading Turkish state is afraid of organized women. That’s why he’s doing these killings.

Women are on the move everywhere in Bakur, Bashur, Rojava, Rojhilat. They took to the streets at the Zîlan and Sakine Cansız festivals. Women are struggling. Conscious women are the target of the invading Turkish state. Of course, these attacks will not go unanswered. Heval Nagihan Akarsel was also targeted for conducting a very strong study in Jineology based on Rêber Apo’s philosophy. Heval Nagihan wanted to open a library for women in Sulaymaniyah. Heval Nahigan was killed, but Heval Yusra, heval Reyhan, heval Nagihan’s goals and objectives cannot be killed. A library was opened in Sulaymaniyah. The enemy will not be able to prevent women. Heval Nagihan, Yusra, Reyhan were brutally murdered, but their hopes, goals and struggles will never be killed. These friends also inherited the legacy of resistance from Zîlan, Sema and Gulan. This inheritance is to the cell of man, settles in his heart. I say once again that the murders of these pioneering friends will not go unanswered. Those who committed this massacre will receive an answer, many fold. I once again commemorate these martyrs with respect. We have duties and responsibilities towards them. We will try to ensure that the work left by our friends is not left unfinished. We repeat the promise of these friends who fought for the freedom of women, for the freedom of Rêber Apo, and sacrificed their lives.

First of all, I would like to point out that Kurdish youth, women, Kurdish people stand up for their martyrs and their values. Kurdish youth, especially young Kurdish women, should never forget this; The Turkish state murdered 5-year-old Erdem Aşkan in front of everyone in Gever. Of course, this murdered child must be avenged. Again, heval Reyhan, heval Yusra must be avenged. We greet the spirit of June 30th with actions. The Turkish state is pitting Kurds against each other in our lands today. It develops dirty methods among our people, wages a dirty war, murders our children, murders Kurdish women and leaders, attacks the guerrilla, the Kurdish society, the political sphere, Rêber Apo.
