NEWS CENTER – Insiyatifa Jinên Tolhildêr organized actions on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Zeynep Kınacı (Zilan), who was martyred in a self-sacrificing action against the Turkish army on 30 June 1996 in Dersim.
In a written statement made by Insiyatifa Jinên Tolhildêr, “Heval Zilan has enthroned the hearts of the Kurdish people, never to be forgotten, with her stance that inspired us and her sacrifice action. She dealt a great blow to the enemy, paved the way for us women, gave us strength. We commemorate all the martyrs of Kurdistan. We promise that we will continue on this road where they achieved martyrdom, just like them, without getting tired. The future they dream of is our dream. We will not stop until we liberate Kurdistan.”
WORKPLACES AND VEHICLES OF THE FASCISTS FIRED
The statement provided the following information regarding the actions:
“On June 15, the Arıdağ Plastik factory, which belongs to the fascist government supporter Özkan Arıdağ in the Tarsus district of Mersin, was set on fire by our units, and the factory and the 3 warehouses next to it suffered the wrath of our units. This fire of freedom, lit by our units, could not be extinguished for hours. The factory and warehouses were completely burned to ashes. The owner of the factory, as it is known, is a member of the fascist regime, originating from the Ottoman Hearths, which had a great influence on workers’ rights in the surrounding region and especially on the Kurds.Our unit dealt a great blow to this person’s economy.
- On June 21, in Bandırma, Balıkesir, 3 vehicles and 1 hardware store belonging to the Turkish fascists were hit by our units with molotovs and completely burned down and became unusable.
- On 20 June, 2 luxury cars belonging to MHP fascists were set on fire and rendered unusable by our units in Selçuklu district of Konya.
- On June 21, 1 white goods warehouse belonging to Turkish fascists and 2 vehicles of the warehouse owner were set on fire by our units in Aydın Söke.
