“In the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army on the Medya Defense Zones on April 17, 2019 and October 24, 2020, the precious children of our Yazidi people and our party PKK’s Apoist self-defeating militants Dilşêr Şengalî and Tîrêj Roj, and our valiant son of our people in the resistance city of Kobanê, our comrades Botan Kobanê, were martyred.
ISIS gangs and the colonialist genocidal Turkish state joined hands and carried out a genocidal attack against our Yazidi people in Shengal. The genocide attack in 2014 went down in history as a new edict, but this edict was thwarted thanks to the resistance of our Êzidî people, who did not break with their faith and culture and insisted on their loyalty to the country, albeit at great cost. Our Yazidi people, who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Apoist Fedayeen militants, participated in the struggle from seven to seventy and liberated Shengal with an epic resistance. Kobanê, which was similarly attacked after Shengal, gained its freedom with a resistance witnessed by the whole world. Many young people from Shengal and Kobanê, who witnessed the efforts of the Apoist Fedayeen militants in creating these victories, joined the PKK. DILŞÊR ŞENGALI
Our Yazidi people, who are the source of our ancient people, have been systematically subjected to massacres and genocides countless times for centuries due to their belief and culture. Our Êzidî people have defended themselves with the deep-rooted traditions they have developed on the basis of their beliefs, all the massacres and genocide attacks of the invaders. Despite being subjected to exile and displacement to dissolve them among the dominant religions and beliefs, our Êzidî people knew how to protect themselves. It has come to this day by successfully transferring its religion, belief, identity and culture to new generations. It has become one of the shining torch and symbols of the Kurds who resisted by achieving this. Coming from such a deep-rooted belief, our comrade Dilşêr was born in a patriotic family. It has grown with the occupation of our country and the oppression and massacres on our people. Comrade Dilşêr’s family had to migrate to Europe due to the pressures of the Baath regime. Our comrade Dilşêr could not get used to the Europe dominated by capitalist modernity and has always longed for the natural life that is still alive in the Yazidi society. He has never lost his hope and belief that he will return to our country one day. Comrade Dilşêr got to know our Party early, because of his patriotic family and the participation from his circle, his sympathy for the guerrilla developed, and the struggle caught his attention.
ISIS fascism, created by the invading Turkish state and its partners, has plagued humanity and attacked our people with the guidance of the states it is a tool of. They wanted to destroy our people through genocide with the gains they had made. Attacks with the Apoist ideology in Rojavayê Kurdistan were eliminated at great cost, but some forces that supposedly protected Bashure Kurdistan and Êzidxan abandoned our people and fled, causing our Yazidi people to live a new edict. The historical resistance of a group of our comrades, who were there, became a barrier in front of the edict, and the further growth of the edict was prevented by the intervention and reinforcements of our Party. The Yazidi youth, who saw the resistance of our comrades who fought with the ideology of Leader Apo, were affected by this. Our Êzidî people, who continue to exist as the root cell of the Kurdish people, have been subjected to intense oppression, plunder and massacres by the ruling powers for centuries. Our Êzidî people, who were targeted for insisting on the cultural and religious characteristics that created them, have faced physical genocide attacks many times. Despite these attacks, which took place 73 times and which our Êzidî people called Ferman, and despite the tens of thousands of martyrs, our Êzidî people have insisted on their identity and have never ceased to be themselves. Our Yazidi people, who have survived all kinds of massacres, oppression and poverty in the lands where they have lived for thousands of years, gave the most meaningful answer to the colonialist and genocidal forces. With the support of many regional powers, especially the Turkish state, in 2014, our Êzidî people, who developed a resistance against the ISIS gangs who attempted a genocide against our Êzidî people, did not compromise their dignified life stance. Despite the betrayal of the powers that promised to protect them, thousands of Êzidî youth, elderly, women and men resisted with very little means at their disposal, and their insistence on their freedom once again demonstrated.
Our comrade Tîrêj, who was in the resistance positions from the very beginning, was born in the village of Borik in Shengal. Our comrade Tîrêj was brought up in the Êzidî culture and traditions, and has attracted attention with his mature personality since he was a child. The devotion of our Êzidî people to their land, religion and culture has also been revealed in the person of our comrade Tîrêj. The valuable family of our comrade Tîrêj, who has an honorable stance against both collaborating groups and the invading states to try to displace our Êzidî people with special war methods, remained in Shengal and took part in the groups that developed the resistance against the ISIS attacks. Our comrade Tîrêj was one of those who took refuge in Mount Şengal and took part in the resistance, despite all the difficult conditions. Our comrade Tîrêj, who acts with the reflex of defending his family and country even though he does not have much military knowledge, has become one of the exemplary sons of the resisting Yazidi people. Comrade Tîrêj, who witnessed the self-sacrificing and self-sacrificing leadership of a group of comrades in Shengal during the processes that our Êzidî people were trying to build up the resistance with their own means, first recognized the PKK in the person of these comrades. Contrary to the collaborative and submissive line that promised to protect our Yazidi people against the inhuman attacks of ISIS mercenaries, the courage of the PKK guerrillas, who sacrificedly caught up with our people’s cry, and their approach that gives people confidence, hope and strength in life, deeply affected our comrade Tîrêj. Especially from the life of our comrade Egîd Afrin, the first guerrilla he saw, He was impressed by his stance and comradeship and took him as an example. The fact that our comrades, who are fighting to protect our Êzidî people from ISIS gangs and liberate the occupied areas, cleared many villages from ISIS gangs despite the scarce means at their disposal, gave strength and morale to our comrade Tîrêj, as it did to all our Êzidî people, and enabled him to join the resistance alongside the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. Our comrade Tîrêj witnessed the pioneering mission in the PKK ranks, contrary to the traditional position of women in the society, in the early days when she joined the resistance units and was deeply affected by this reality. Our comrade Tîrêj and his family, who are starting to understand the guerrilla and the PKK reality in his person, better every day, the Apoist morality represented by the guerrilla, believed that culture and comradeship relations represented the truth and started to act together with the Apoist guerrillas on this basis. Along with our comrade Tîrêj, his brothers joined the ranks of the resistance, demonstrating their allegiance to Leader Apo and our party PKK most clearly.
From the day he joined, our comrade Tîrêj has participated in the historical Shengal Resistance, taking part in both youth work and many different activities in the Shengal area, from the day he joined. Joining the resistance alongside HPG and YJA Star guerrillas and Shengal Resistance Units, our comrade Tîrêj enabled thousands of Êzidî youth, whose hearts beat for the freedom of our people, to join the ranks of the resistance. Our comrade Tîrêj, who aims to avenge our people who were martyred and kidnapped with his effort and self-sacrificing participation in this process, believed that this is only possible by increasing his struggle. For this reason, our comrade Tîrêj, who started military work, played an important role in the liberation of Shengal. During the resistance process, he witnessed the bravery, determination and self-sacrificing wars of the Apoist militants, especially Martyr Tîrêj Aso was deeply affected by our comrade. Our comrade, who decided to join the guerrilla ranks in order to remain loyal to the memory of Comrade Tîrêj Aso, for whom he was named, to realize his dreams and continue his struggle, turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2017.
Our comrade, who has mastered the details of Party life due to fighting with our comrades in the Shengal area, sharing the same life with them and fighting in the same positions against the gangs, soon became integrated with the mountain and guerrilla life thanks to this experience he gained and the training he received in the mountains of Kurdistan. Our comrade Tîrêj, who became involved in the New Warriors activities after the training he received, shared his experiences with his comrades who had just joined the guerrilla ranks, and had a hand in making them Apoist militants in a short time. He also took part in the construction of war tunnels, which is one of the important war tactics of the new era, and worked hard for this war tactic to be successful. He believed that he, as an Apoist militant, should take part in the resistance positions against the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish state against the Medya Defense Areas. He believed that for this he had to deepen himself further in Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism. On this basis, he started to receive training in the branch of sabotage at the Martyr Mahir Academies. Our comrade Tîrêj, who achieved successful results in this training, in which he participated with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm, also deepened himself in Apoist philosophy and managed to become a competent militant.
Our comrade Tîrêj, who made himself a freedom fighter for all of our people with the training he received in the mountains of Kurdistan, where he came as a valiant son of Êzidxan, achieved martyrdom in an enemy attack and completed his revolutionary life at the top and took his honorable place in the history of freedom of our people. Therefore, the ability to analyze events and people has developed. During the periods he worked, he was shown as an example with his dignified and mature personality. Our comrade, who entered his youth under the conditions of the Rojava Freedom Revolution, was influenced to a certain extent by the knowledge he gained from the stories around him, even though he did not know the architect of the revolution, Leader Apo, and Apoist militants. The fact that many people from his family and close circle joined the ranks of the Rojava Freedom Revolution with great determination and assertion not only affected our comrade Botan, but also caused him to seek it out. He was deeply affected by the martyrdom of his close relative, Alî Şêr-Alî Muhammed, who died in 2014 after fighting with great heroism in the village of Til Xenzîr in Serêkaniyê against ISIS gangs.
