“In the statement we made on February 5, 2023, we stated that the invading Turkish army launched a comprehensive operation in the Besta area on January 21, 2023, and intense clashes took place between our forces and the invaders on January 22-23. We shared the information that our comrade Nûda-Zozan Öcal was martyred on January 23, 2023, along with our other six comrades in these conflicts. However, on the basis of the exact information received later, it was understood that our comrade Nûda did not reach martyrdom and was on duty. In these intense conflicts, it has become certain that not our comrade Nuda, but our comrade Tavîn Tekoşîn has been martyred. We apologize to the valuable family of our comrade Nuda and all our people for this mistake.
Our comrade Tavin, who was an exemplary PKK and PAJK militant with her fighting personality, clear stance in the ideology of women’s liberation and his effort to be a good comrade of Leader Apo, has also become a unique example of devotion to the country. Despite being born and raised in Europe, our comrade Tavin, who never broke away from the reality of Kurdistan and struggled for this cause, has become the struggle line of the youth of Kurdistan with this stance.
We extend our condolences to the valuable family of our comrade Tavin, who led his comrades with his epic struggle in Botan and his selfless war against the enemy, and to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan.

Our comrade Tavîn was born and raised in Germany as a member of a patriotic family originally from Çewlîg. She was brought up according to the essence of Kurdishness, as her family was patriotic and attached to Kurdish culture and traditions. Despite all the assimilation policies of the capitalist system, it did not give up its language and culture and managed to protect itself. Again, our people’s development and ownership of the freedom struggle in all areas, especially in our country Kurdistan, has affected our comrade Tavîn. Even though it is thousands of kilometres away from Kurdistan, its heart has always beaten with the freedom struggle in our country. In this sense, he never broke away from Kurdistan, but lived in Kurdistan moment by moment. As a Kurdish woman during her youth, she thought that she should also lift the burden and take part in the struggle for the freedom of our country. On this basis she became involved in revolutionary patriotic youth work in Europe. Our comrade, who carried out a successful practice for about a year, was affected by the war in our country and the price paid for freedom. Our comrade Tavîn, who always wanted to increase her struggle, saw that she could realize this request by joining the guerrilla ranks and in 2012 she returned to the mountains of Kurdistan, which she dreamed of.
Our comrade Tavîn, who first took part in the Komalên Ciwan studies, quickly adapted to the mountain and guerrilla life with the training she received there. It quickly got rid of the individualistic life features of the capitalist system and tried to integrate with the democratic communal life of the guerrilla. Our comrade Tavîn, who waged a struggle for the moment, got rid of the effects of the system on her personality in a short time, and found the opportunity to meet her essence more and move towards being a free individual. After she had certain experiences in guerrilla life, she wanted to be involved in military work and insisted on this. As a result of her intense insistence, this request was accepted and she became involved in military activities. Our comrade Tavîn, continued to train herself constantly, focused on military training, It has become the owner of a stance and participation that is equivalent to the reality of war. Thanks to her willing participation in the trainings, she perceived what was taught in a short time and knew how to put it into practice immediately. For this reason, she has succeeded in becoming a militant that all his comrades take as an example. Comrade Tavin, who was among the first groups to defend our people against the attacks of ISIS mercenaries against Bashure Kurdistan, successfully played the leading role as a brave YJA Star guerrilla who stayed in the Kirkuk and Mexmur areas for a long time and actively participated in the war against the gangs. Our comrade, who had the opportunity to practice the training she received by participating in many actions during the war, gained great experience in the military sense. Our comrade, who turned her face to the mountains of freedom after the areas where she was fighting were cleared of the gangs, moved to the Heftanîn area and participated in activities in this area for about a year. She shared her experiences in the war against the gangs with her comrades here, and helped them become competent guerrillas. Our comrade, who participated in the actions against the attacks of the invading Turkish state in the Heftanî area, has managed to leave deep traces on his comrades with his successful participation here and the simplicity of his comradeship.
Comrade Tavîn, who later became involved in the work alongside his comrades in the PKK Central Committee, had the opportunity to concentrate deeply in the processes he took part in these studies. Our comrade, who has experienced a comprehensive ideological, military and organizational concentration process, has become conscious on many issues, has overcome the contradictions he has experienced, and has a clear and determined participation. Our comrade Tavîn, who had the opportunity to see and live with many experienced friends during the processes he took place there; She was impressed by the working style of these comrades, their comradeship and their morale and enthusiastic participation despite all kinds of obstacles. Our comrade Tavin deduced from the experiences he had here that every militant waging the struggle for freedom should train herself according to the most difficult conditions, and strengthen his consciousness and emotions. She also spent a lot of effort to achieve such a personality and participation style, and succeeded in deepening the line of struggle of the PKK and PAJK. Our comrade, who managed to develop herself more and more every day, was based on a participation in the line of sacrifice. However, she stated that she could be worthy of the Leadership and her martyred comrades with a participation in the line of sacrifice. She also believed that he had to invest himself in the struggle as a whole for the successful fulfilment of his term duties.
Our comrade Tavîn, believed that the struggle and the war in Bakure Kurdistan should be developed further against the enemy attacks against our Leader, our people and our Movement, suggested herself to take part in this war. Our comrade, who firmly adheres to this belief, has been in an intense effort to realize his goal. Our comrade, who went to Bakure Kurdistan as a result of her intense efforts, participated in the work in Botan, the qiblah of the guerrilla. Our comrade, whose biggest dream is to carry out guerrilla activities in Bakurê Kurdistan as a YJA Star militant, impressed her comrades with his enthusiastic, enthusiastic and self-sacrificing participation here. Our comrade, who spends every moment concentrating on the blows she will inflict on the enemy, has also participated in the actions in the field of Botan and practiced this concentration.
