NEWS CENTER – Today around 11am the occupying Turkish state bombed a vehicle with a drone near the village of Til Şeîr, 10 km north of Tirbespiyê in the canton of Qamişlo as they ramp up their attacks across North and East Syria. In the coward attack 3 people were martyred and one other injured, among the martyrs was the Co-Head of Cizire Kanton Yusra Dervis. The Autonomous Administration shared the following statement:

Statement to the public

In light of the continuation of the policy of systematic targeting by the Turkish occupation state of the regions of northern and eastern Syria, today, Tuesday, a car belonging to the Qamishlo Canton Council was treacherously targeted by the Turkish occupation marches, and the targeting led to the death of three members:

  • Co-presidency of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Yusra Derwîş,
  • Deputy The co-president of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Lîman Şiwêş
  • Their driver, Furat Tûma
  • Co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Gabî Şûman was wounded

while they were on a field tour of the Autonomous Administration institutions in Qamishlo canton.

The targeting policy followed by the Turkish occupation has become clear and obvious, and it is striking the Autonomous Administration project and the opportunity comes to target officials and workers within the administration institutions that are based on serving the components of the region and ensuring security and stability within the flaming Syrian map. This targeting coincides with the Autonomous Administration’s announcement of its intention to start prosecuting the leaders and members of the terrorist organization ISIS, which is what the sponsor of terrorism, Turkey, does not want, so that the hidden facts and hands behind the terrorist organization of ISIS do not appear. In terms of support and securing an incubating environment for him in the occupied territories.

As it is known, we have always been proactive in presenting projects and visions that aim to get out of the Syrian crisis and the dead, but it has become clear that there are regional and international parties that do not want to end this lived crisis and want to root it, and this targeting coincided with the announcement of the start of the trials of the leaders and members of ISIS. And the launch of the Astana meetings, which agreed to issue final statements that are not devoid of hostility towards the regions of north and east Syria, shows us who wants a solution and an end to the crisis and who wants its continuation.

We in the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in Al-Jazeera region, while offering our condolences to the families of the martyrs and our people, affirm our determination to complete our path in preserving the gains of our people, despite the Turkish state’s terrorism and its tools such as the terrorist organizations of Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham and ISIS. We also call on the international guarantors of the ceasefire in northern and eastern Syria to carry out their responsibility and stop the terrorism of the Turkish occupation state.

Mercy and eternity to our martyrs, and speedy recovery to our wounded
