SİLÊMANÎ – After the HPG Press and Liaison Center announced that Zedeşt Başuri had been martyred, a mass commemoration ceremony was held at the family home in Süleymaniye.
A commemoration ceremony was held for Martyr Zerdeşt Başuri (Şivan Muhammed) in the family home in Sulaymaniyah with the participation of dozens of citizens. The commemoration ceremony, attended by Tevgera Azadî’s Co-Chairs and many members, started with a minute’s silence.
Speaking on behalf of Martyr Zerdeşt Başuri’s family, his brother Agiri Muhammed said:
“I have a message for our enemy. Do not rejoice at the martyrdom of Zerdeşt. Because there are millions of Zerdeşt in the mountains of Kurdistan. Zerdeşt Başuri is not only our martyr, he is the martyr of all the honorable Kurds of the four parts of Kurdistan.”
Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, Tevgera Azadî Executive Board member Hacı Azad said: “Our people living in Southern Kurdistan need to be organized so that our children’s blood does not spill anymore. We must unite and fight against the forces that want to invade Kurdistan.”
