AFRIN – To the press and the public:
“Our comrades Rizgar and Rojhat, who were working in Afrin region as part of the Second Phase of the Era Resistance of Afrin, were martyred on the 14th of June as a result of air attacks by the occupying Turkish state.
Afrin, which is one of our regions with a strong sense of patriotism, took a great responsibility in developing the Kurdish Freedom Movement and taking care of it. Thousands of heroes of our people of Afrin fought for the cause of Kurdistan all over the country against the invaders and paid the price when necessary. In the last 10 years of the Rojava revolution, he fulfilled his leading duty of protecting the tradition of resistance. Our patriotic people of Afrin have become defenders of the freedom struggle in the territory that stretches from Derik to Aleppo. Our people, who are strongly attached to freedom, have never stopped their struggle by taking care of the memory of tens of thousands of martyrs. They will not stop fighting until they get their freedom. Our comrades Rizgar and Rojhat, who are two of the heroic sons of our people who have a deep tradition of resistance, are in the strong circles of this tradition of resistance.
Our friend Rizgar took his place in the resistance positions in 2015 against the occupation attacks that had increased in Afrin and its surroundings. In 2016 and 2017, he participated many times in movements and activities against the gangs of that period and promoted himself as a fighter. In order to become skilled and improve himself in the fight, he successfully passed the professional training of the branches. After the invasion of Afrin, his hatred and anger towards the enemy increased and he actively participated in our actions against the invaders. He fulfilled his duty with a great feeling until the moment he reached martyrdom.
Our friend Rojhat, as the son of a patriotic family of Afrin, did not accept the occupation of his territory and actively participated in our struggle for freedom against the invading Turkish state and its gangs in 2020. Our friend Rojhat, like all our comrades, has always felt indebted to his people and worked hard for his people’s return to the territory of Afrin. Rizgar’s friend, who was martyred with him, worked together in a collective manner and became the owner of successful practices.
We remember all our martyrs in the person of our friends Rizgar and Rojhat with respect and gratitude, who showed that the liberation of Afrin and other regions from the invaders and the hope of a free life is only possible with a great revolutionary struggle. We repeat our promise that we will keep the memories of our martyrs alive in our struggle and fulfill their hopes for sure.”
