NEWS CENTER – The Iraqi army has been trying to suffocate Maxmur with wire and towers since May 20. As the resistance of the Maxmur people continued on the third day, military activity escalated. According to the information received, the Baqirtê town road to Maxmur was completely closed to departures and arrivals. While new military reinforcements were being made in the region, ditches were started to be dug by deploying ladles all over the camp. Under this basis, thousands of people took the streets across Kurdistan in solidarity towards the Refugee Camp and against the attacks of the Iraqi State.
SHENGAL
A march was held under the leadership of the Young Women’s Union of Singal against the heavy harassment of the APO Leader as well as the attacks on Singal and Makhmur. In the march, it was said that wherever the people organize themselves based on the idea of Leader APO, the enemy targets there. The attacks of the Iraqi state against Makhmur are also based on him. As part of the campaign “Jin Jiyan Azadi Surbixe Azadi” which was started by the Young Women’s Union of Singal, a march was held in the Sinun area of Sinal, under the leadership of the Young Women’s Union, for the freedom of the APO leader and support for the resistance of Makhmur.
The march started with the participation of hundreds of people of Shengal in front of the Sinunun People’s Assembly building and continued until Mam Zeki circle.
SHEHBA
The Revolutionary Youth Movement of Syria and the Young Women’s Union marched in the context of the Victory War and against the attacks on the refugee camp of Martyr Ristem Cudi. In this context, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement, the Young Women’s Union of Afrin and Shehba cantons held a demonstration in Ehdas district of Shehba canton.
Hundreds of young people gathered on the road between Ehdas district and Merat village and marched towards the Ehdas district park. In the march, the young people carried the flags of the movement, Yekitiya Jinen Ciwan, photos of Leader Apo, banners “with the spirit of self-sacrifice we will win the war of freedom”, “No resistance to Makhmur” and “No to fascist systems”.

Today is the Revolutionary Youth Movement of Syria and the Union of Young Women in the city of Til Temir, with the participation of dozens of young men and women, made a statement for the resistance of the poor people. In the statement, it was stated that:
“The oppressed people have continued their struggle for thirty years. For years, KDP wanted to base its policy on them. But this people has been organized by the leader Apo and with the knowledge of the people of Makhmur and the recognition of their freedom movement from the special war of the KDP, the occupying Turkish state and the Iraqi government, they are protecting their lives today. But the government of Iraq, the KDP and the fascist Turkish state impose their occupation on the Makhmur people, put a siege on the Makhmur people and impose an embargo on the Makhmur people. But the people of Makhmur reacted against these attacks and resisted them.”
QAMISHLO
The residents of Qamishlo held a march against the Iraqi army’s efforts to surround Makhmur and wire it. The march started in front of the Mihemed Sheikho Center for Culture and Art. In the march, representatives of TEV-DEM, civil society organizations and political parties were present and held up the banners “You cannot break our will with attack and siege”.
In front of the People’s Municipality of Qamishlo, the march turned into a rally. There, the executive member of the Democratic Islamic Congress, Abdulkerim Sarûxan, spoke and praised the sacrifices of the Kurdish people and their resistance against the attempts of genocide and said: “The occupying Turkish army failed in its attacks against the Defense Zones of Media, it was unable to Defeat the HPG and implement their policies against Sinjar.”

Qamishlo’s Til Berak district council also condemned the attempt to besiege Maxmur in a statement.
Til Berak Executive Committee Member Wenas El Ebdullah read the press release. The statement said, “On behalf of the Til Berak District Council and its institutions, we condemn the Iraqi government’s decision to put up a wire fence around the camp. They are trying to surround the camp. We call for a dialogue with the Iraqi government.”

Under the slogan “you cannot break our will by attack and siege,” hundreds of residents of the city of Hasakah marched this morning in support of the resistance of the residents of Makhmour camp, against the Iraqi army’s attempts to surround the camp. Hundreds of the city’s residents, representatives of civil society institutions, and political parties participated in the march, which started from the Hamama roundabout in the Tal Hajar neighborhood, carrying pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading ” you cannot break our will.”

In the Euphrates region, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Council of the Euphrates region held a meeting in the framework of the Victory War Initiative with the presence of dozens of young people. In the meeting, the developments in the region were evaluated, especially the isolation of Leader Apo and the invasion attacks. The youth paid special attention to the siege of Makhmur by the Iraqi government and said: The Turkish occupying state and the traitor KDP continue their attack on Rojava of Kurdistan and this time they want to surround our people of Makhmur with the Iraqi government.
