FRANKFURT – At the annual May Day demonstration in Frankfurt, the young Kurdish women took part together with their internationalist friends and attracted attention with the red flag of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and a flag with the image of Rêber APO, which demanded his freedom .
On May 1st, thousands of people took to the streets of Frankfurt to demonstrate on Workers’ Day and to express their criticism of capitalist modernity. Kurdish young women also took part in the demonstrations with their internationalist friends, waving the flag of the PKK and Rêber APOs. Flags were waved throughout the demonstration.
The young women explained: “It is important on days like this to show what struggle, resistance and solution mean. It is all the more important to get the PKK’s fight onto the streets here in Germany. Bijî Serok APO! Bijî berxwedana PKK!”
