BEHDINAN – HPG Press Center shared the following information regarding the 2 guerrillas who were martyred:
“On May 14, 2023, a comprehensive enemy operation was carried out on the Çemkê Tehlo and Serê Forest areas in the Besta region of Şirnex, based on the information of local collaborative agents. Having been informed that a group of our comrades were in this area, the Turkish army carried out repeated attacks with the support of 8 warplanes, 2 attack helicopters and many contras. The area where our forces were located was tried to be surrounded and bombarded with attack helicopters for two days. On 16 May, our comrades Bawer Med and Rênçber Givara effectively struck the enemy force that came upon them for the purpose of annihilation. The Turkish army suffered heavy losses here and bombarded the area twice with warplanes, and later by throwing yellow and apple-scented chemical weapons from helicopters. Our comrades Bawer and Rênçber fought to protect themselves epically for two days and reached martyrdom. The Turkish army hid the heavy losses it took here, and admitted that only 4 soldiers and 1 counter were dead. However, as far as our forces can clarify here, the Turkish army lost 17 casualties.
The attacks of the Turkish army became more extensive on 17 May and expanded towards the Serê Forest area. Here, too, there was a conflict between our forces and the Turkish army, and in these clashes, our leading commanders Dilşêr and Şerger, our comrades, gave the necessary response to the enemy and were martyred.
These worthy comrades, who are the truest and purest examples of Apoist militancy, have successfully fulfilled their pioneering missions with their enthusiasm and enthusiasm in life as well as their courage and sacrifice in the war. We extend our condolences to the esteemed families of our comrades Şerger and Rênçber, and our patriotic people of Kurdistan, who duly fulfilled their patriotic duty by adding their most valuable children to the freedom struggle of our people, which requires great effort and sacrifice.

ŞERGER CAF
Our comrade Sherger Caf was born as a member of the Caf tribe in the Kelar district of Bashure Kurdistan. The ancient Kurdish culture, which has not lost the essence of the Caf tribe, has grown with its strong sociability and patriotism. Our comrade Şerger, who grew up in an economically poor family, has personally experienced the difficulties of the Kurdish people due to not being free, and has lived and experienced life in its simplest form. The father of our comrade Şerger was martyred while fighting in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle in 1993. The fact that our comrade Şerger never knew his father and grew up without a father has created a great spiritual void in his life. However, his father’s martyrdom while fighting for his country and people filled the heart and consciousness of our comrade Şerger with the deepest patriotic feelings and country values.
Our comrade Şerger studied successfully for 15 years and went to university. Despite the difficulties of life, he has been successful in every job he has undertaken and in the university environment. Our comrade Şerger, who has a simple, honest and hard-working character, stood out as a young man with high practical intelligence and developed abilities at the same time. Especially with his interest in music, his ability to play an instrument and his beautiful voice, he was able to impress everyone who listened to him. He has fallen in love with the thousands of years of pain and history of the Kurdish people, by telling them melodiously with bexşî, aşiq, qewal, dengbêj, kilambêj, stranbêj, çîrokbêj, pirs and many more and passing them down from generation to generation. Our comrade Sherger has experienced our country Kurdistan, lived its people and sought freedom in the strans he listened to and said. Our comrade Sherger, who has a deep national consciousness, is a colonialist, He stood against the policies of the genocidal enemies and the treacherous collaborators who were instrumental in separating the Kurds from each other, the division of Kurdistan into pieces, and the division of Kurdish culture. With this awareness, he had a great interest in all dialects of the Kurdish language, and besides speaking the Sorani, Kurmanci and Kelhori dialects of Kurdish at a very good level, he also learned Persian very well.
Our comrade Sherger has seen that the Kurdish people’s cause of freedom and the national liberation struggle cannot be successful with a hollow, primitive nationalist approach and collaboration. He read and learned Kurdish history, and as a result of his research, he recognized the Apoist freedom movement. He recognized the democratic scientific socialist ideology of the PKK, and saw that Kurds and Kurdistan should be liberated not only physically, but above all ideologically. It has brought to the awareness that freedom is not possible unless there is a struggle for socialism in Kurdistan and all over the world, unless the sex struggle aiming at the absolute freedom of women and the class struggle that will eliminate the split in society are raised. He has seen that guerrilla struggle requires sacrifice, self-sacrifice, faith, determination and will, as well as a deep consciousness, tactical mastery and mastery in the art of war. For this purpose, she was educated at the Mazlum Doğan Party Central School in 2016 and deepened in the Apoist ideology and the Democratic Ecological Women’s Libertarian Paradigm. At the same time, she has been involved in extensive discussions on party struggle, organizational line combatant, gender and class warfare, and has raised awareness of the importance of ideological struggle. Our comrade Sherger has learned very well from the history of Kurdistan and Kurdistan that even a leaf cannot move without a party, and that even if it acts without ideology, it will be blown away by any wind.
Our comrade Şerger moved to the Besta area of Botan in 2016 with the aim of realizing the claim of revolution and liberating our people. Comrade Şerger, who very quickly became involved in the guerrilla practice in Besta, got to know his comrades in the field early on, the terrain and the enemy reality in Botan. With his high adaptability, he quickly became one of Besta’s experienced guerrillas without any difficulty. Particularly in 2016, 2017 and 2018, he participated in most of the effective guerrilla actions that developed in Besta and dealt a great blow to the enemy, at the forefront. With his extraordinary courage, practical intelligence, creativity and deep secrecy, our comrade Şerger has repeatedly attacked the Turkish soldiers, penetrated into the enemy and managed to strike a blow. Our comrade Sherger, sincere participation, humble comradeship, organizational stance, He became an early guerrilla in Botan with his ideological approach and activist practice. Our comrade Şerger became an early commander and assumed responsibility with the experience he gained. Knowing that the guerrilla is the greatest source of freedom and hope for the Kurdish people, he tried to deepen in guerrillaism as much as possible, and gave great effort to understand and practice the democratic modernity guerrilla of the new era. Our comrade Şerger, who witnessed thousands of operations carried out by the enemy against the entire Bakure Kurdistan guerrilla and especially Botan in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, was able to meet many enemy attacks very skillfully, and succeeded in hitting the enemy in the most unexpected moments. Our comrade Sherger, as a valiant son, freedom fighter and victorious guerrilla commander, raised by the Jaf tribe and our people of Bashurê Kurdistan, has fought for the freedom of his people for years without reckoning. Our comrade Şerger saw the enemy operation in Besta’s Çemkê Tahlo area on May 14, 2023, witnessed the epic resistance of our 3 comrades for two days, and took action to support his comrades and repel the enemy attack. Our comrades Şerger and Dilşêr effectively struck the enemy force, which carried out an extermination operation against the guerrilla, and inflicted heavy losses. Our comrade Sherger fought heroically in the conflict with the invading Turkish army on May 17, 2023, dealt a heavy blow to the enemy, and wrote a new resistance epic and entered the history of Kurdistan struggle.
Comrade Şerger, the son of a martyr, considered it his duty to follow in the footsteps of his father and all the martyrs, tried to fulfill this duty completely throughout his revolutionary life, made great contributions to the freedom struggle of our people, and joined the caravan of martyrs in May, the Martyrs’ Month, leaving a great legacy of struggle behind him. Our comrade Sherger will remain in the hearts of all the people of Kurdistan as a proud son of the Caf tribe and our people of Bashurê Kurdistan, who we will always be proud of and whom we will take as an example. The epic struggle of Comrade Sherger will set an example for all Kurdistan youth, and the victory flag of the freedom struggle will be waved in the sky by his comrades.
Our people, who were dying under the attacks of assimilation, denial and destruction by the colonial states, whose existence was denied, were resurrected together with the PKK, which developed under the leadership of Rêber Apo, and became the owner of a noble march on the line of honorable life. With the development of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, the valiant sons of our patriotic people, who increased the resistance in every inch of Kurdistan, joined the ranks of the struggle. Our historical guerrilla struggle carried out in the unyielding mountains of Kurdistan was greeted by our people with serhildans and embraced with a great spirit of resistance. The colonialist Turkish state, whose dirty politics went bankrupt in the face of the uninterrupted wind of freedom created by the PKK, wanted to prevent our growing struggle by carrying out intense attacks against our people. The patriotic people of Kurdistan have been subjected to great torture, faced with the most brutal attacks in history. Despite all the attacks, the invading Turkish state, which could not break the honorable stance and will of our people, wanted to strangle our struggle by tearing our people away from the holy lands where they lived for thousands of years. These attacks of the fascist Turkish state, which burned thousands of villages and subjected our people to forced migration policies, did not yield any results, and the unshakable bond our people established with the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla became stronger.

Our comrade Rênçber, originally from Mêrdîn Kerboran, was born in a valuable family that was forced to migrate to Şirnex, Hezex, due to the attacks of the invaders, and who did not compromise on the patriotic tradition, resistance and honorable life line. Growing up in a family and environment that adheres to the patriotic resistance culture has enabled our comrade Rênçber to get acquainted with the struggle early. The fact that their villages were evacuated by the colonial Turkish state and that they were subjected to intense oppression and persecution brought about our comrade Rênçber’s familiarity with the reality of the enemy. The fact that his family and close circle joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla made our comrade Rênçber feel great interest and sympathy for the guerrilla.
Our comrade Rênçber, who has a great anger against the invaders and believes that there must be a response to the brutal attacks against our people, joined the ranks of the freedom guerrilla in 2014 on the holy mountain of Judi, in the land of Botan, to which he is passionately attached. Our comrade Rênçber, who joined the ranks of the struggle with great determination to defend the lands of Kurdistan, to which he was born and raised, and to which he was attached with love, against the attacks of the invaders, has a militant stance and participation that develops rapidly and responds to the process by taking the lead.
