“Our comrades Botan, Bawer and Canşêr fell martyrs in the attacks carried out by the invading Turkish army on the outskirts of Werxelê in Avaşîn on May 5, 2023. Our comrades, who have been fighting with great courage and determination against the invasion attacks against the Zap and Avaşîn areas since 2021, joined the caravan of martyrs as the last links of the epic resistance created. Our comrades Botan, Bawer and Canşêr, who are increasing their struggle day by day to be worthy of our Leader’s historical resistance in the Imrali torture and genocide system and the stance of our martyrs on the line of victory, will always continue to lead us with these characteristics.
We extend our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to the esteemed families of our comrades Botan, Bawer and Canşêr, who succeeded in becoming the pioneers of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign with their heroic march along the line of sacrifice.

BOTAN ZAGROS
North-East Syria, one of the first areas where Leader Apo’s Democratic Nation project, which envisages that all Middle Eastern peoples live together on the basis of freedom and equality, has become an oasis where many nations and beliefs live together. Despite all the attacks, occupations and provocations, this oasis of freedom, where people are trying to make peoples hurt each other almost everywhere, has not made any concessions from living together. Arabs, Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, Assyrians and many different nations and beliefs insisted on protecting the freedom revolution they had developed at great cost, they killed thousands of their most valiant sons, but they did not give up on this freedom insistence.
Our comrade Botan was born in a patriotic family in the city of Hesekê in North-East Syria. Our comrade Botan, who is from the Arab people, recognized our freedom movement after the Rojava Freedom Revolution developed and the city of Hesekê, where he lived, was cleared of regime elements and ISIS gangs. Impressed by the epic resistance of the Rojava freedom forces against the regime and ISIS gangs, our comrade Botan wanted to participate in the activities with great excitement and enthusiasm. Comrade Botan, one of the first Arab comrades to join the Rojava freedom forces, fought with an unshakable faith and shattered the prejudices that the regime and colonial powers tried to create. The close circle and family of our comrade, who predicted that a free Kurdistan would be the key to a Democratic Middle East, also participated in the freedom forces. In this sense, it has undertaken the pioneering mission since its participation and successfully fulfilled it. Our comrade Botan, who has been working in Rojava and North-East Syria for about 5 years, participated in many actions and revolutionary moves against ISIS gangs here. During this process, the Leadership and the Party had the opportunity to get to know our reality more closely. Our comrade Botan, who was highly influenced by the new life and comradeship relations created by Leader Apo and tried to improve himself accordingly, started to create Apoist militant characteristics in himself step by step. However, he wanted to come to the mountains, the cradle of the freedom movement, in order to better understand the Leadership and to live the free life he revealed. Especially after the martyrdom of a comrade with whom he fought,
Since the desire to integrate with the guerrilla life was very intense, it turned its direction to the most difficult areas and its arrangement was in Avaşîn province. Our comrade Botan, who said, “I found myself again in the mountains, in Avaşîn,” quickly adapted to the guerrilla life. From 2019 until the moment he was martyred in 2023, he toured every corner of Avaşîn province step by step, contributed everywhere, and left indelible traces on every friend he met with his vitality, excitement, comradely love and warmth. During the 2021 and 2022 invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish state, he practiced in the most difficult areas and on the front lines. Our comrade Botan, who played an active role in all areas of the war from strategic position resistances to mobile teams, took part in every work from infrastructure preparations to organizing and participating in actions. He played a leading role at the command level and his participation was decisive for many work. Against all the brutal attacks of fascism, he showed his loyalty to his martyred comrades and his desire to complete them, without hesitation and hesitation for a moment. Botan friend, who left an indelible mark in the hearts of all his comrades with his combative, honest, devoted and self-sacrificing qualities in life and war, became one of our comrades who, with his participation, built indestructible bridges to ensure the unity of the peoples by reaching from the Arabian geography to the Zagros summits. Representing the unity of the peoples in the person of our comrade Botan, he became the defender of the rich values of this geography on the ground of the Middle East, which fascism tried to drown in darkness, and he fought for it until the end. From his participation to the moment he reached martyrdom, he maintained this stance of struggle with great determination and added new values to this wealth with his witnessing. As his comrades, we repeat once again the promise of our comrade Botan that we will carry out a struggle worthy of all our martyrs in his person until he realizes his dream of a Free Kurdistan and a Democratic Middle East.

Our comrade Bawer was born in a patriotic family in the Mutki district of Bedlîs. He grew up with the values of courage, bravery and patriotism and gained a character accordingly. It continued to preserve its identity in the metropolitan cities it went to due to these characteristics and various reasons. He took responsibility at a young age and contributed to his family’s livelihood. All the ugliness of the system, the oppression and massacres on our people also attracted the attention of our comrade Bawer. Our comrade Bawer, who believes that this must be fought for, has sought it out. Our comrade Bawer, who did not remain unsolved and managed to find a solution to every problem, met our Movement by his own means. As a young man, he realized his responsibilities towards his people with the awareness of patriotism. Our comrade Bawer did not accept for himself to live without a purpose with the elimination of free living conditions in the established order. The inability of our oppressed people to live with their language, culture and identity left deep traces on every Kurdish youth and had a great impact on our comrade Bawer. The genocidal policies carried out by the invaders against our people have turned into a great grudge against our comrade Bawer. His recognition of our movement and the magnitude of the struggle convinced our comrade Bawer and he believed that his place should be in the ranks of the PKK. In the light of these facts, it has turned its direction to the mountains of Kurdistan in order to fight actively and to nullify the policies of genocide and special war. Our comrade Bawer, who started his education in Medya Defense Zones, enjoyed a meaningful and free life. With the training he received, he saw the effects of the system and special war policies in his personality. On the basis of Leader Apo’s ideology, he learned that he could only get rid of all the backward aspects of the system by knowing himself. He aimed to become a self-sacrificing militant of Leader Apo by fighting himself relentlessly. His militant characteristics enabled him to integrate with the holy guerrilla in a short time, and despite all the difficulties he experienced, he did not take a step back from the idea of freedom and his determination to fight for it, and was able to stick to all the costs and values created, especially the martyrs. In the Zagros area he went to in 2020, he practiced first in Zap and then in Avaşîn. It has become a competent guerrilla by improving itself in practice in harsh conditions and harsh geography. During these years he stayed in Zagroslar, he participated actively in the face of all the enemy attacks. Our comrade Bawer, who managed to become one of the leading cadres of the actions and mobile teams with his courage and self-sacrifice, insisted on resisting despite the relentless enemy orientations in 2022, the difficult conditions and impossibilities created by this, and constantly wanted to strike the enemy. CANŞÊR ADAR
Our comrade Canşêr was born in the resistance city of Kobanê in a family of patriotic Berazi tribe. His family recognized Leader Apo and our party PKK in the first years of our freedom struggle and remained loyal. Therefore, our comrade Canşêr had the chance to get to know our party PKK from an early age. With the ancient culture of the deep-rooted tribe and family to which it belongs, our party has made the basis of its revolutionary culture and morality, which emerged as a result of the PKK’s long-standing struggle. Our comrade Canşêr, who took an active part in witnessing the Rojava Freedom Revolution in his youth, witnessed all the invasion attempts and the epic resistances experienced during these processes. Especially witnessed the ISIS attack on Kobanê, He has seen the epic lives of our comrades who came from Kurdistan and many parts of the world and developed the resistance of the peoples. He was affected by the resistance carried out along the line of Fedailik and the martyrdoms experienced during this resistance. For this reason, he has sworn to avenge our comrades who have been martyred since then. Again, in the invasion attack against Afrin in 2018, the enemy was angered at the massacres and forced displacement of our people. For this reason, he thought that it was time for him to fulfill his responsibilities towards our people as a Kurdish youth and joined the ranks of the struggle.
After joining the guerrilla ranks, he came to the fore with his enthusiastic, participatory and self-sacrificing stance. With the trainings he received in the mountains of Kurdistan, he quickly adopted the war tactic of the new era and gained years of experience. Due to his great grudge and anger against the invading Turkish state, he immediately wanted to move to the areas where the war was the hottest. He persisted in this request and was successful. On this basis, our comrade Canşêr, who moved to Avaşîn, was immediately involved in practical work. Our comrade, who is part of the mobile teams, took part in many actions against the enemy and set an example for all his comrades with his success in these actions. He spent every moment concentrating on striking the enemy and tried to develop creative tactics during the war. To his comrades who became martyrs in the resistance that entered its third year in Avaşîn, Our comrade Canşêr, who is indebted to struggle with all his might and knowledge to be worthy of our Leadership and our Party, has succeeded in becoming a leading Apoist militant in this sense. With the awareness of the historical process that our people are going through, it has always aimed to increase its struggle. For this, he thought that he should deepen himself more in the Apoist ideology and the art of guerrilla warfare. All his efforts have been on improving himself in this direction. Our comrade Canşêr, who managed to become a source of strength for all his comrades with his courage and assertive participation in the war, has also become a promising commander candidate with his honest and sincere comradeship. As his comrades who fight for the same goals as such a valuable militant, we promise that we will be the warriors of our comrade Canşêr’s dreams.” With the awareness of the historical process that our people are going through, it has always aimed to increase its struggle. For this, he thought that he should deepen himself more in the Apoist ideology and the art of guerrilla warfare. All his efforts have been on improving himself in this direction.”
