NEWS CENTER – In a written statement, DKP/Birlik said, “We are on the 6th anniversary of Comrade Ulaş Bayraktaroğlu (Mehmet Kurnaz) marching to immortality while he was fighting against ISIS jihadism in Raqqa, on the front line. As Revolutionary Communards, as every year, this year, between May 9 and 16, in the person of Comrade Ulaş Bayraktaroğlu, all our immortals; As a week in which we commemorate comrades Suphi, Tamer, Rasih, Cemre, Robin, Doğan, İdil, Zahide, Cömert, Cihan, Hasan Ali, Ulaş Adalı, Bayram Ali, Nurhak, Mehmet Ali and Ceren Güneş and flag their names as a war slogan in our ranks.
Comrade Ulaş Bayraktaroğlu was a revolutionary leader who did not stay a step away from swimming against the current from the very beginning to the end of his life, could be the discoverer of new routes when necessary, and pave the way when necessary.
It is a duty and a badge of honor on our chests, as we Revolutionary Communards, to follow the path that all our immortals have trod!
This road, near or far, will one day reach its destination and we will win; there is no doubt about it! But if we are going to win, at the end of this path we walk, we will beat our wings, adorned with fireballs in a burning sky, worthy of their legacy! We will win by carrying them on our chest as a badge of honor and by raising their names in the squares like a war slogan at any moment! That glorious day will surely come one day!
