BEHDINAN – Militant Zagros, one of the YJA STAR guerrillas, spoke to ANF on the occasion of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday.
“A new era has begun in Kurdistan with the birth of our leadership and the development of the PKK,” said Militant Zagros, adding: “The Kurdish people claimed their national existence and fought to defend themselves and their lands. There has been a great struggle in Kurdistan for 45 years.”

Militant Zagros stated that the Kurdish People’s Leader was subjected to a huge isolation and that the isolation actually targeted the Kurdish people, and continued: “Our Leader is a prisoner in Imrali, but his thoughts and ideology have spread all over the world. We derive great strength from our leadership’s ideology. We are trying to take our struggle to the highest level.”
BASED ON WOMEN’S FREEDOM
YJA Star guerrilla Militant Zagros noted that many revolutions developed in the world, many states were established, but none of them combined women’s freedom with the freedom of society, and said: “Women have always been an oppressed nation. The biggest difference of our leadership is that it is based on women’s freedom and shows us the way of struggle. ‘Jin jiyan azadi’ has become a universal slogan. We promise that we will realize the physical freedom of our leadership.”
