KOBANÊ – Şehîd Şahîn Cûdî is a symbol of the revolutionary and democratic youth of Syria. Rêber APO says: “Youth moving towards freedom should not be stopped.” Thousands of young people in North and East Syria have proven their truth with the national democratic revolution they have achieved and defended with their own hands and sacrifices. Rêber APO, with the tendency towards freedom, declared to the whole world the fight against occupation and terror, and Şahîn Cûdî, whose martyrdom was made public, became a symbol of the revolutionary youth of Syria and one of the heroes of the epics of the July 19 revolution. Because he was active in the past years of the revolution and achieved many achievements and results with his effort and work.
Fadêl Mihemed, with the combat name Şahîn Cûdî, was born in 1988 in the village of Til Xezal, near the town of Kobanê into a welatparêzen family and attended elementary, middle and high school in the Reqqa region. In addition to agricultural work, he went to Aleppo and enrolled in the Faculty of Arts, majoring in Arabic literature. With the start of the revolution in Syrian society in 2011, Şahîn Cûdî devoted herself to serving the society in order to realize her hopes for freedom and democracy. He left college and his old life and joined the revolution as a revolutionary fighter.
Şahîn Cûdî played the main role in organizing and educating the youth of Rojava and Syria, becoming one of their pioneers and leading them to revolution, resistance and society building. He was one of the founders of the National Confederation of Kurdish Students after holding many conferences in Syria. He was one of the founders of the Arab youth movement in 2016. He was involved in the coordination of the Kurdish youth and in 2017 the Syrian Democratic Youth Council was founded with him. When the occupying Turkish state attacked Afrin, he was one of the first to go to Afrin and take his place in the resistance of the era. After taking his role Thousands of young people have also joined the ranks of the revolution and taken their place on the front of honor. He joined the ranks of the People’s Defense Units and fell to Şehîd in 2018 by joining the caravans of Şehîds.
