NEWS CENTER – As part of the “Write for Leader Apo” campaign launched on February 15, 2023, 4,000 children living in cities in North-East Syria from Dêrîk to Qamishlo, from Kobanê to Afrin wrote a letter to Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who was held captive in İmralı. . It is stated that these letters, brought together by the Children’s Rights Committee and the North-East Syria Schools Directorate, will be published in a book in a short time.

Hêwa Emin: How many years has my bird of freedom president been in the dungeons of the enemy? I am writing this letter with the pen of freedom obtained by your labor. In this hopeful letter, I wish to see the hearts of the Kurdish people one day. You are on my mind every moment, every second, every year. I engraved you in my mind as the bird of freedom.
Zoya Hewas Xelef: I want our leadership to come out of prison and our freedom to grow even more. We will develop our freedom with our Leader. Our leadership is our future. Our future is not beautiful without it. Even if we sacrifice our lives, we will get him out of the dungeon.
Peri Azad Musa: I wrote this letter for you. I hope it reaches you. Serok Apo we love you very much. We all want you to get rid of this cruelty and tyranny and get out of the dungeon as soon as possible.
Nûcan Xelîl: Thanks to your efforts, we can read and write in Kurdish today. We can speak Kurdish everywhere. Our main request is that you get rid of this MIT and gangs. With your exit, all Kurds will be enlightened.
Midiya Dawid: I am writing this letter for Leader Apo. My leader, after you left, the life of the Kurds is very difficult. We will never forget you, and we will shout “Be Serok Jiyan Nabê” in your name as long as we live. Warm greetings and hope to see you…
Ebdo Hemûd: Leader Apo created existence out of nothing. Leader Apo worked hard to liberate the Kurdish people. He worked for everyone’s right. Those who were afraid of it put him in prison.

Newroz Mihemed Xelîl: I will write a letter to our national leader as long as I can and see the strength in myself. I hope that you will get out of the dungeon of these gangs as soon as possible and save us from these Turkish gangs. When we left Afrin, our pain was great. Hope to see you soon…
