NEWS CENTER – PKK Executive Committee made a written statement on the occasion of May 1, World Workers and Laborers’ Day. In the PKK statement, “Let’s make this May 1 the beginning of the great victory of democracy. As workers and laborers, women and youth, patriotic Kurdish people and all oppressed, revolutionary and socialist forces, let’s fill the 1 May squares and start our new freedom and democracy march. Let’s build a bridge of freedom and democracy, a bridge of historical success and victory from May 1 to May 14.” He urged everyone to join strongly on May 1,” he said.

“We are living a new May Day at a critical turning point in history. Unity, Solidarity and Struggle Today, we are raising our struggle for freedom and democracy by filling the squares. First of all, we commemorate all of our 1 May martyrs with respect and gratitude in the person of 1977 Taksim Martyrs, and our Central Committee members Mehmet Karasungur and Ramazan Kaplan comrades. We salute the Historical Imrali Resistance and Leader Apo, all our comrades and people resisting in the dungeon, on the street and on the mountain. We believe that this May 1 will be a new beginning in the struggle for Free Kurdistan and Democratic Turkey.
May 14 is like a rehearsal for the collapse of AKP-MHP fascism.
It is very clear that this May 1 creates significant differences from the previous ones. It is almost like a rehearsal for the collapse of AKP-MHP fascism on May 14. On May 14, the AKP-MHP begins the process of overthrowing fascism. Undoubtedly, the destruction of AKP-MHP fascism is also very important for Kurdistan, Turkey, the Middle East and the whole world. For this reason, it should not be forgotten that the AKP-MHP fascism should be destroyed. With the overthrow of AKP-MHP fascism, the way for Kurdish freedom and democratic Turkey will be cleared. The fascist, colonialist and genocidal mentality and politics from the Union and Progress Administration to the present will be overcome. The second century of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey will be entered on the basis of Kurdish freedom and democratization of Turkey. Turkey will become a country of freedoms and democracy on the basis of Kurdish, women and freedom of belief.
This is why, and to prevent all these developments, all the global, regional and national reaction and Kurdish betrayal support the AKP-MHP fascism and want it to stay in power for another term. On this basis, AKP-MHP fascism uses all the means of Turkey and resorts to all kinds of pressure, games and tricks in order to stay in power. As if he has not been in power for 21 years, he is trying to deceive the people by promising many new lies. As if Turkey is the property of Tayyip Erdoğan’s father, it accuses everyone who opposes Tayyip Erdoğan’s administration as ‘traitors’. He wants to steal people’s game by using all kinds of methods, from buying with money to threats and blackmail. It recklessly uses law and judiciary, art and literature, all kinds of fascist gangs to prolong the life of the government. As seen in recent detentions and arrests, he tries not to allow anyone other than himself to make propaganda by having democratic intellectuals, artists, politicians, lawyers and journalists arrested. With all this, he wants to create the perception that he is strong and will stay in power, and to stay in power by resorting to all kinds of violence.
However, AKP-MHP fascism is fundamentally rotten and collapsed. No use of violence, oppression and massacre, lies and deception, demography and theft will not keep AKP-MHP fascism in power. The countdown has already begun for AKP-MHP fascism and the 14 May election will be a key stop in this regard. Undoubtedly, fascism cannot be destroyed by the election method on its own, but the 14 May election will also play a very important role in the struggle to overthrow the AKP-MHP fascism. The liberation revolution will advance by overthrowing fascism and overcoming restorationism.
