“Despite our Movement’s decision of inaction, the AKP-MHP fascist regime continues its attacks against our forces without interruption. On April 8, our comrade Xebatkar Bagok, who was on duty in the countryside of Cinata village in the Omeriya region of Merdin, and his relative, the esteemed patriot Lokman Görgün, were martyred as a result of the attack carried out by the Turkish army. The Turkish army extrajudicially executed Lokman Görgün, a civilian, unarmed and innocent Kurdish patriot, and committed war crimes.
Lokman Görgün, an honorable patriot devoted to his people and country, is a martyr of our Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Our comrade Xebatkar, like all our guerrilla forces, was martyred as a result of the enemy attack while he was in a position of inaction. Dear family of our comrade Xebatkar and honorable patriot Lokman Görgün, We express our condolences to the patriotic people of Mardin and all the people of Kurdistan. We reiterate our promise to keep the memory of the martyrs alive and to achieve victory by raising our struggle.
Our comrade Xebatkar was born in a patriotic family in Nisêbîn, which is known for its resistance and serhildans in Kurdistan and has set an example to all Kurdistan people with its stance that never bowed to the enemy. Our comrade Xebatkar, who grew up in the Cinata village at the foot of the Bagok mountain, was influenced by both his family’s deeply patriotic identity and the resistance developed by the guerrillas in the Bagok area against the enemy and the freedom war they waged for our people, and our party recognized the PKK. That’s why he wanted to be a guerrilla from an early age. When he came to his youth, he was involved in youth work as an honorable Kurdish youth. He came to the fore with his successful participation in these activities and his activist character and led the youth of Nisêbîn. With the successful actions they took against the enemy, they prevented the enemy from breathing comfortably in Nisêbîn. For this reason, he became the target of the enemy and was captured by the enemy once in 2013. Despite all the tortures of the enemy, he did not compromise his stance in any way, on the contrary, he decided to enlarge his struggle against the torture and oppression by the enemy. After the enemy switched to the concept of a total attack against our people in 2015, our comrade Xebatkar wanted to respond to these attacks by joining the guerrilla ranks. On this basis, he joined the guerrilla ranks from the land of his birth and became the name of our people’s hope for freedom.
Our comrade, who stayed in the Mêrdîn area for about a year, tried to learn and understand the details of the guerrilla life and the Leadership philosophy during this process. Again, our comrade, who witnessed the intense war, was particularly impressed by the self-government Resistance. The sacrifice of many of our comrades against the intense attacks of the enemy and their martyrdom also determined the direction of the concentration of our comrade Xebatkar. Our comrade, who became aware of the fact that his participation should be on the line of sacrifice, thought that he needed to deepen himself in the military and ideological sense for this. Comrade Xebatkar, who learned important lessons from the war, understood that it is possible to be successful against the enemy with expert and professional guerrilla units. Therefore, he wanted to specialize in guerrilla warfare and on this basis, he moved to Medya Defense Areas and received military specialization training. Comrade Xebatkar, who is extremely intelligent, immediately understood what was explained in the trainings and put them into practice. In addition, he shared his understanding with his comrades and contributed to their development, and fulfilled his comradeship duty. In addition, with his sincere, honest, hardworking and colorful personality, he has been a source of strength and morale for his comrades with whom he studied and worked. Our comrade Xebatkar, a pioneer militant with his clear stance in the struggle and assertive personality, has always been at the forefront in every moment of life thanks to these characteristics. After the training, he went to Shengal to participate in the revolutionary moves to save our Yazidi people from ISIS gangs. He actively participated in the moves for the liberation of Shengal, and had a significant effort and effort in expelling the gangs from the sacred lands of Shengal. Although he struggled without compromising the participation of the sacrifice in every field of struggle, the heart of our comrade Xebatkar has always been in the field of Mêrdin. The fact that it is the land where he was born and grew up, the area where he joined the guerrilla, and the martyrdom of the first guerrillas he knew in the Mêrdîn area were important reasons for our comrade Xebatkar to move to the Mêrdîn area again. On this basis, he moved back to the Mêrdîn area in 2018 and continued his struggle from where he first started. Our comrade Xebatkar, who has been fighting non-stop in the field of Mêrdîn, known for its difficulties, with the energy of his youth and clear stance in the struggle, there, too, he fulfilled his pioneering mission. By participating in many actions developed against the enemy in the area of Mêrdîn, he ensured that the enemy was dealt heavy blows. Thanks to his initiative, he took part in many different studies and played a leading role in the implementation of the new period guerrillaism. For this reason, as a young Apoist militant, he correctly identified the tasks of the period and pioneered the new era of struggle with the solutions he developed. Our comrade Xebatkar, who struggled without making any concessions from his Apoist militant stance until the day of his martyrdom on April 8, 2023, will continue to lead our comrades behind with his martyrdom as well as his struggle. Thanks to his initiative, he took part in many different studies and played a leading role in the implementation of the new period guerrillaism. The invading Turkish army attacked our resistance positions in Sîda at 10:30, 12:00 and 13:00 on 11 and 12 April, our forces responded to defend themselves and there were 4 contacts.
