BEHDİNAN – HPG Press Center announced the identity information of the 3 guerrillas who were martyred. The HPG statement stated:
“Our Party PKK, which has developed under the leadership of Leader Apo and is the representation of our people’s will for freedom, has returned our people to the stage of history, which was caught in the grip of genocide and brought to the brink of extinction, and has become the hope of freedom for all the oppressed. Undoubtedly, this march on the line of victory emerged as a result of the unlimited efforts of our martyrs, who became immortal by fighting selflessly. Our comrades, who resisted the invasion attacks of the colonialist Turkish state in the most difficult conditions, shielded their bodies and defended the holy lands of Kurdistan to the last drop of their blood, have always shown the whole world the invincibility of the Apoist will. Our comrades Fîraz, Arnos and Dildar, who became martyrs in January 2023, also fought for the free future of our people until their last breath and left an unforgettable legacy of resistance.

FIRAZ ZİLAN
Our comrade Fîraz was born in a patriotic family of the Deştanî tribe in the Çelê district of Colemêrg. Our comrade Fîraz had to migrate to Gever with his family when he was a child because the enemy had burned their villages. That’s why our comrade Fîraz grew up in Gever. Growing up in a place like Gever, which is connected to its identity and cultural values, had a great impact on the personality of our comrade Fîraz. Our comrade Fîraz, who was angry with the enemy since his childhood due to both the burning and destruction of his villages and the systematic oppression, torture and massacres of the enemy against our people, increased his anger as he grew up and determined that it is his most important duty to hold the enemy accountable for what he did. Comrade Fîraz, who grew up as a young man who tries to understand life and is sensitive to what is happening around him, has always closely followed the freedom struggle of our people, has been a part of the struggle wherever he is, and has done his best as a patriotic Kurdish youth. However, after the Rojava Freedom Revolution, the attacks of ISIS gangs against our people with the guidance of the Turkish state, massacres against our people in Shengal, and their desire to destroy our people’s hope for freedom, went through a deep questioning. At a time when our people were struggling for existence and non-existence, he came to the conclusion that he, as a Kurdish youth, must also be in the struggle, and decided to join the guerrilla ranks. Comrade Fîraz’s participation in a self-sacrificing line with his concentrations, He thought that he should devote himself to our people with everything. With this deep concentration, he left the university in 2015 and joined the guerrilla ranks and became a leading militant candidate of our people.
Comrade Fîraz, who joined the guerrilla ranks from the Çewlik area, moved to the Medya Defense Areas after a short stay there. He received his first education in the guerrilla in the field of Metîna and actively participated in life by learning the intricacies of mountain and guerrilla life with the education he received. Our comrade, who joined the guerrilla ranks with great assertiveness and determination, wanted to have a struggle worthy of our Leadership and our martyred comrades, and believed that he could achieve this demand by participating in the Hêzên Taybet activities. On this basis, shortly after joining the guerrilla ranks, Hêzên Taybet became involved in his work. With the trainings he received, he began to get to know and understand himself better, and therefore our public reality. He tried to internalize Apoist militant features by creating revolutionary transformations in his personality as much as he knew himself. In this sense, he waged a great struggle with himself and succeeded in becoming a leading militant. Aware that it is possible to protect the PKK and its life, which was created with the unmatched efforts of our Leader and our heroic martyrs and is the guarantee of the free future of our people, our comrade Fîraz preferred and lived as a way of life for this purpose. Our comrade, who is known for his self-sacrifice and hardworking personality and has a place in the memory of his comrades, has taken all the duties and responsibilities given to him by our organization with great seriousness and has not accepted any measure other than success. Due to this feature, he took part in many studies and had an equal participation in the mission he had set for himself. With his personality open to change and innovation, our comrade Fîraz, who went through a period of concentration in understanding and implementing the new period guerrilla, improved himself in the tactics and style of the new period and became a professional guerrilla. Our comrade Fîraz, who managed to become a pioneering Apoist militant with his level of concentration and self-sacrificing style of participation, represented the sacrifice in every environment he was in, with his sincerity, honesty and hardworking personality until the moment he was martyred.

Our comrade Arnos Wan was born in Istanbul as a member of a patriotic family from Elbak. Although our country had to live far from Kurdistan due to the emigration of his family, our comrade Arnos managed to preserve his Kurdish essence; increased his loyalty to his people, country and Leader Apo. Despite all kinds of special war and genocide policies of the enemy, with the help of his family, he always maintained his ties with Kurdistan and did not allow the enemy to assimilate him. At the same time, our party followed the freedom struggle led by the PKK in Kurdistan, and its heart beat with the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla. During his youth, he was involved in studies like every honorable Kurdish youth. He made great efforts to organize Kurdish youth, who, like himself, were trying to protect their honor and identity under enemy pressure, away from Kurdistan and to encourage them to struggle. Due to his successful practices in the studies he took part in, he gained the respect of his comrades with whom he worked. Due to his seriousness in his work and his result-oriented style, he took more and more responsibilities with each passing day and successfully fulfilled these responsibilities. Our comrade Arnos, who later worked as a guerilla in the Qendil area for a while, took part in studies that required high discipline and commitment. He was impressed by the lives, participation and unhesitating walks of martyrdom of his fellow fighters who took part in the same work and later performed self-defeating actions; He wanted to be involved in the work of Hêzên Taybet in order to stay true to the memories of these comrades and to carry their struggle to victory. On this basis, Hêzên Taybet was involved in the work in 2018 and had the chance to take her struggle to a higher level. Our comrade Arnos, who is indebted to himself to keep the memory of his martyred comrades alive in every step he takes, in every breath he takes, has won the love of his comrades in every environment with his clean and pure heart. For this, he became a person whom all his comrades wanted to work with. DILDAR WAN
Our comrade Dildar was born in Wan as a member of the patriotic Ertushi tribe of Kurdistan. He started to get to know our Party when he was a child, due to the patriotism of his family and the environment he lived in. Due to the impact of our struggle led by the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, Comrade Dildar also sympathized with the guerrilla and our party PKK. Again, the daily attacks of the enemy against our people and the revenge actions of the guerrilla against these attacks caused our comrade Dildar to become more attached to our Party. Our comrade Dildar, who personally experienced the enemy’s practices of committing genocide against our people, uprooting our people and ultimately destroying them completely, thought that he should join the ranks of the struggle like every honorable Kurdish youth who reacted to this. Aware that the most effective struggle is possible in the mountains of Kurdistan, in the guerrilla ranks, our comrade wanted to join the guerrilla ranks in 2014. However, due to some problems, he could not realize this request. Our comrade Dildar, who maintains his assertiveness and determination in the struggle and wants to achieve his goal, left the university and joined the guerrilla ranks in 2015, rejecting the opportunities offered by the system.
Our comrade, who joined the guerrilla ranks from the Farashîn area, moved to the Medya Defense Areas after a short stay here. He received the training of New Warriors in the field of Metina and started to get to know our Party more closely with the training he received. Again, with the lessons he took during the education process, the public got to know our reality more closely, and thus, he had the opportunity to analyze himself more deeply. As he analyzed himself, he saw the effects of the capitalist system on his personality and made a great effort to overcome these and infuse the democratic modernity features into his personality. Intense enemy attacks during the process of joining the guerrilla enabled our comrade Dildar to concentrate more on military lessons, so he sought to be an answer to the intense war process. It basically specializes in guerrilla warfare tactics and style. Our comrade Dildar, who started practicing in the field of Metîna after finishing his education, has been working in this field for about 5 years. Our comrade, who tried to respond to the process by taking part in many actions against the enemy, thus turned his anger towards the enemy into action and became an example for all Kurdistan youth. Our comrade, who stands out with his self-sacrifice and hardworking personality, has also responded to many needs of his comrades with his intelligence. Our comrade, who has done a lot of work, put all his talents at the service of the revolution and his comrades with his humble stance, and in this sense, he fulfilled his comradely duties perfectly. Our comrade Dildar, who is a pioneer militant with his disciplined working style and stance that reassures his comrades, joined the Central Headquarters activities in 2020. Later, when the enemy’s attacks on the Zap area intensified, he wanted to be with his comrades who were resisting in the battle tunnels. Our comrade, who fulfilled this request, stayed in the Zap area for a while and took part in the epic resistance developed against the enemy attacks. Our comrade Dildar, who contributed to the transformation of Zap into a fortress of resistance, has been based on the style of self-sacrificing participation throughout his guerrilla life and has managed to protect it until his last breath.”
