AMED – Within the scope of the Amed-based investigation, the operation carried out on the morning of April 25, also raided Halise Aksoy’s house in Amed, where the bones of her son, HPG guerrilla Egit İpek, were sent to her by cargo. Aksoy was detained and taken to Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate.
Police raided the house of Aksoy’s daughter, Mizgin Karataş, and detained Mizgin Karataş and his wife, Harun Karataş.

Aksoy was referred to the courthouse in the morning hours. Halise Aksoy and her daughter Mizgin Karataş, who were referred to Diyarbakır Criminal Judgeship of Peace after their statements by the prosecutor’s office, were arrested on the charge of “being members of an organization”.
