NEWS CENTER – Like every Newroz, the 2023 Newroz is one we can’t forget. Of course we haven’t welcomed the March 21st, the Newroz in Amed, but we can more or less predict what the Newroz in Amed will be like with the March 19th.
From Wan to Qoser, from Elîh to Çewlig, from Mersin to Istanbul, the women and young people of Kurdish society went to Newroz Square with their friends with great enthusiasm, morale and anger. Although we hear the slogans “Bijî Serok APO” from the youth every year, the spirit and enthusiasm of the slogans chanted today was very different. Above all, the youth of Wan, Qoser and Elîh destroyed all the special war policies of the fascist AKP-MHP regime on the Newroz Squares today. Kurdish youths and young women who were tried to be silenced unfurled posters of Rêber APO and said “We are going towards the sun”.
The Kurdish youth showed once again today that they will never extinguish the fire of Newroz from Kawa to Mazlum Doğan, from Zekiye Alkan to Rehşan. Kurdish youth have shown how to protect the heritage they are heirs to.
The pent-up anger in Qoser
One of the most formative speeches that day was undoubtedly that of Qoser. The Qoser youth again showed the spirit of the apoist youth with the poster Rêber APOs with the inscription “Bijî Rêber APO”. In the footsteps of Rehşan Demirel, the Qoser youth showed that they will never bow to the attacks of the fascist AKP-MHP mentality.
The youth of Wan cannot be stopped
As every year, the foothills of Wan Castle witnessed a glorious Newroz today. The people and youth of Wan, ignoring the bitter cold of Serhat, cried out with one voice for the freedom of Rêber APO. It was impossible to ignore the anger of the youth of Wan who entered the area with the Rêber APO placards. The enemy once again saw that no matter what, the youth of Wan is unstoppable.
The youth of Amed will crown Newroz with a win and react to it
The anger and enthusiasm ignited by youth in many cities at the Newroz celebrations on March 19 should be crowned with victory in Amed on March 21 through a combination of all these Newroz celebrations. The youth of Amed must organize a Newroz worthy of them, a Newroz festival that will go down in history.
