NEWS CENTER – On March 31, 2020, guerrilla Sema Koçer carried out a Fedaî action against the invading Turkish army near the Gürbulak border gate in Bazid (Doğubeyazıt) district of Agirî. In the action of the Fedaî, Sema Koçer destroyed five armored vehicles and a natural gas pipeline. More than 30 occupation soldiers were killed and dozens were injured in the action. The action was dedicated to the martyrs of Ali Pıling, Çiçek Botan and Dilgeş Botan.
Legendary guerrilla commander Ali Piling (Şerif Yakut) was martyred on 14 June 2019 while fighting against the invading Turkish army in Bedlis (Bitlis). YJA-Star commander Çiçek Botan and guerrilla fighter Dilgeş Botan were martyred on October 4, 2019 in Dersim. Sema Koçer worked with Commander Çiçek Botan for a while and avenged her martyrdom with her action.
Sema Koçer was born in 1995 in Sêrt to a patriotic family and learned about the freedom struggle at a young age. He joined the guerrilla in 2014, which he defined as the re-creation of life, and started the struggle in Bakurê Kurdistan full of sacrifices that he longed for and wanted to carry out in practice.
The year 2020 had already begun with the fierce attacks of the invading Turkish army and the attacks of the guerrillas. Martyr Sema Koçer’s action on 31 March in which at least 30 Turkish soldiers were killed and a strategically important pipeline near Agirî was destroyed was one of the most sensational acts of the guerrillas this year.
In 2020, as today, the enemy dreamed of finally destroying the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla and on this basis mobilized all its military and financial resources for the destruction of the guerrillas.
YJA Star guerrilla Sema Koçer followed the line of the Fedaî with the action of martyr Zilan (Zeynep Kınacı), who carried out a self-defense action at a military parade in occupied Dersim on June 30, 1996. Sema Koçer sent an important message to the enemy with her action: “Each of us will be an atomic bomb exploding in the middle of your heart.” With her action, he not only gave a message to the enemy, but also gave an important message to her guerrilla comrades. With her action, he made it clear that the guerrillas never expected anyone. Everyone in the PKK is a party, an army. That’s why everyone should use the opportunities in the PKK correctly.
