BEHDINAN – People’s Defense Center (NPG) Headquarters Command said, “The oppression, oppression, torture, slavery and colonial practices that have been imposed on the Kurdish people for hundreds of years have turned into systematic genocide attacks by being caught in the grip of the nation-state in the last hundred years. An environment has been created in which our country, Kurdistan, is divided into pieces, our people, numbering tens of millions, are ignored, their language, culture and identity are denied, and the whole world remains silent about this atrocity. The Kurdish people have developed numerous resistances and serhildans against this savagery in the last hundred years, but despite displaying invaluable individual heroism, they have not been successful and Kurdistan has fallen into deathly silence.
The belief in freedom has been lost, Kurdishness has become a shameful identity, Half a century ago, Leader Apo’s miraculous and historical breakthrough took place in an environment of despair where national duties were not respected and fighting for freedom was considered suicide. Leader Apo brought the state of despair and absolute slavery into which the Kurdish people were brought to consciousness at a young age, felt the pain of his people in the depths of his heart, felt great anger at this situation, and responded by transforming his consciousness and emotions into the PKK movement, which is the most meaningful breakthrough in the history of Kurdistan.
PKK HAS BECOME A MOVEMENT OF HEROES WITH ITS MARTYRS AND MAGNIFICENT WALK
Leader Apo saw that it was not easy for the Kurdish people to get rid of the genocide knife imposed on their throats, to preserve their existence and to ensure their freedom, understood that it could not be achieved with an ordinary effort, and organized an epic march by drawing great lessons from the history of Kurdistan. Leader Apo’s debut with a self-sacrificing spirit turned into a tradition of fighting with the heroic acts of the leading cadres of the Apoist movement, and this tradition became the heroic line of the martyrs and determined the route of our liberation cause marching to victory. With the emergence of the Apoist movement, our struggle, which was at the level of heroism throughout Kurdistan, has reached today thanks to the great heroic monuments it has drawn from its bosom. Together with the PKK, individual heroic outbursts in Kurdish history have turned into a heroic organization, style, pace, thought, stance, tradition and line;
The Kurdish people celebrate the week between the great Newroz action of Comrade Kawa Mazlum Doğan on March 21 and the martyrdom day of Comrade Egîd (Mahsum Korkmaz), the legendary great commander of the Kurdistan guerrilla, as the Week of Heroism. The self-sacrificing stances and heroic acts of the Mazlum and Egîd comrades became the embodied truths of the Apoist ideology. Comrade Mazlum became Newroz with his action on March 21, 1982, in an environment where there is no possibility, surrender is imposed with the most inhuman tortures and people are brutally intimidated, and revealed the PKK’s line of resistance. Comrade Egîd, on the other hand, carried the line of resistance of the Oppressed, Kemals, Hayri, Saras and Fours to the mountains of Kurdistan. By leading the glorious 15 August Initiative, he initiated the style of self-defense warfare on the basis of victorious guerrillaism. We commemorate all our martyrs with respect and gratitude in the person of Comrades Mazlum Doğan and Mahsum Korkmaz, the Leader cadres and great martyrs of our party PKK, and we celebrate the National Heroic Week of the Kurdish people and all our comrades.
Comrades Mazlum and Egîd, as distinguished people’s leaders who know how to fit the free will of the people into their personality, have always led our struggle and commanded our guerrilla army. Our struggle, which proceeded with the heroic acts of the oppressed and the Egîds, created an army of Fedayeen, who today spread all over Kurdistan, hitting the colonialist genocidal enemy everywhere and fighting with incomparable courage. Great sacrifice actions of Comrades Sara Tolhildan Goyî and Rûken Zelal in 2022, Rohat, Şevîn, Şaristan, Navdar, Şervan, Egîd, Agir, Fedakar, Mizgîn, Rûmet, Fedai, Armanc, Eylem, Viyan, Agir, Rûstem, Mirza, Mahîr, , Koçer, Hêzil, Siyabend, Laşer, Çiya, Binevş, Ekin, Bager, Avzem, Dilşad, Dilşerda, Azad, Hero, Zagros, Dîdar, Özgür, Zemani, Zardeşt, Berfîn, Adil, Ahmed Rûbar, Avareş, Masîro, Güven, Vorîn, Seher, Jiyan, Evîndar, Ekin, Dilda, Şiyar, Rojhat, Ali, Baz.
WE WILL CONSIDER EVERY PEOPLE OF MARTYR AS A REASON FOR GREAT REVENGE AND SUCCESS
As Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas; Comrade Mazlum Doğan’s high party consciousness, commitment to the cause, true comradeship with Leader Apo, and the spirit of resistance he put forward will always and everywhere continue to be our struggle guide. Comrade Egîd’s line, which is the name of the belief in the victory of the guerrilla style, persistence, courage, determination, endless devotion to the Apoist line, the spirit of attack and the style of success, will be our unfailing path. We state that we will better understand the meaning and value of the memories of Comrade Mazlum and Egîd, and that we will always base ourselves on going forward without ever admitting falling backwards, and turn every martyrdom into a reason for great revenge and success, and turn the victorious guerrilla into a reality.
As freedom guerrillas, as we enter a new year of struggle with the high splendor of the Newroz fever; We bow respectfully before the memories of our martyrs in the person of Mazlum Doğan and Mahsum Korkmaz comrades, and we promise to follow the line of martyrs under all circumstances. With this belief and determination, we celebrate the Heroic Week of all our people and comrades who are fighting along the lines of the Oppressed and Egîds, and we salute our patriotic people, who proudly celebrated the Leader’s Newroz, saluting Leader Apo’s heroic resistance in Imrali and protecting their heroes.”
