“Our comrade Şahin was martyred as a result of a conspiracy by an agent on 6 March 2013 while he was on duty in the Gabar area of Botan. After this incident, the spy element was arrested and questioned, and he was punished after it was determined that he had deliberately martyred our comrade Şahin and was involved in different crimes against the freedom struggle of our people. The martyrdom of our comrade Şahin, which developed as a result of a vile conspiracy, coincided with an intense period in 2013 when our forces started to withdraw from Bakurê Kurdistan and many young people flocked to the guerrilla ranks. While we commemorate our comrade Şahin with respect on the anniversary of his martyrdom, we reiterate our commitment to all our martyrs and our promise to increase our struggle, and we express our condolences to his valuable family and patriotic people of Kurdistan.

Our Wan people have become one of the most important centers of resistance in Kurdistan with their honorable stance against the occupation and the invader. This dignified stance of our people and their structure connected to their roots inspired thousands of young people who grew up in their hearts and added new ones to our history, which is full of heroic stories. The genocidal Turkish state, which established its existence on the absence of our people against this honorable stance of our patriotic people, has increased its massacres, however, our people did not compromise on this honorable stance, and by increasing their resistance, they became more clamped around our movement. Our Bruki tribe, one of our ancient tribes, also saw its existence and freedom in the PKK, set their heart on our movement and did not hesitate to give their most distinguished sons a price for this cause. The resistance of our honorable people and the heroic struggles of our noble martyrs have always fed each other and brought the resistance against the invader in Kurdistan to its peak. Our comrade Şahin grew up and was shaped by this culture in a patriotic family and environment belonging to the Bruki tribe. Our comrade Şahin, who witnessed more closely the assimilation and genocide policies implemented by the fascist Turkish state against the Kurdish people, as he got older, sought a struggle against these policies. He played an important role in youth work, especially in the struggle against the policies of de-identification of the Kurdish people through the youth. Our comrade Şahin, who has been working in many fields, has brought to the awareness that the greatest response to these pressures is to increase the struggle, as the pressures of the enemies increase.
Our comrade Şahin, who joined the guerrilla ranks in 2009 in Wan, the land where he was born, moved to Qendil for new fighter training. Our comrade Şahin, who came to the guerrilla ranks with great enthusiasm, joined the guerrilla life with enthusiasm. Our comrade Şahin, who got great morale from every comrade he met, observed life with great curiosity, tried to learn, so that he had no difficulty in adapting. Our comrade Şahin, who has successfully completed his new fighter training, has again started his first guerrilla practice in the field of Qendil. With his hardworking and self-sacrificing participation, he has succeeded in becoming a sought-after and respected comrade by his comrades. Our comrade Şahin, who is based on continuous self-development, has not neglected to develop himself ideologically as well as participating in practical work. He asked his comrades what he was wondering about, they discussed, He made early progress with his curiosity and willingness to learn. Our comrade Şahin, who carried out successful practices in many fields in Qendil, approached every task with great responsibility and did not accept any criteria other than success. Our comrade Şahin, who has improved himself in ideological and organizational aspects, has succeeded in transferring what he learned from his comrades into practice successfully and early due to his early-cooked and quick-learning structure in military terms. The martyrdom of our comrade Kurtay Rodî Wan-Necati Güneş, whose uncle he joined the guerrilla ranks together with, in 2010 further increased the anger towards the enemy in our comrade Şahin. For this reason, it took the revenge of all our martyrs, especially Martyr Kurtay, and embraced the guerrilla practice more with this understanding. Realizing that he needs to expand his struggle with the ideological and military level he has reached, our comrade Şahin moved to the Botan area, where the practice is most intense and which is the qiblah of the guerrilla. Although he has just moved to Botan, he has succeeded in gaining the love of his comrades and adapting to the field and the intense practice with his devoted and uncalculated participation. Our comrade Şahin, who played an important role in the activities developed during this period, has always been in the intensification of the blows to be dealt to the enemy. He became an exemplary commander with his military level, courage in actions and self-sacrifice in life.
