BEHDINAN – HPG Press Contact Center, which published a statement titled “We commemorate Ali, Rojhat, Serhat, Şervan, Welat and our Mazlum Comrades with respect”, said that Abdurrahman Saltan (Ali Asya), Tarık Tunç (Rojhat Zilan), Erdal Bozkurt (who resisted heroically against the attacks of the Turkish army in 2017) Serhat Colemerg), Fırat Ay (Şervan İntikam), Orhan Sağnıç (Welat Reşan) and Mazlum Gelhat (Diyar Kaya) have been martyred.
The HPG statement stated: “The colonialist Turkish state’s struggle, which is the guarantee of the free future of our people, with its struggle on the line of sacrifice, nullified the genocide policy of the invaders and enabled our people to come together around the values of freedom more and more every day.
Our comrades Ali, Rojhat, Serhat, Şervan, Welat and Mazlum were martyred in the attacks they launched against the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla in 2017. It is the greatest source of pride for our people to have such valuable children who joined the ranks of the guerrilla, who taught the greatest lesson in colonialism and fought without hesitation to ensure the freedom of our people.
We extend our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to their esteemed families, who have done their patriotic duty by bringing valiant and selfless comrades such as Ali, Rojhat, Serhat, Şervan, Welat and Mazlum to the freedom struggle of our people and set an example for all our people in this sense.

Comrade Ali was born in Amed, where the foundations of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle were laid and our people greeted our struggle with serhildans. Our comrade, who grew up in a patriotic family environment that participated in the struggle and had martyrs, was introduced to the culture of patriotism and resistance at a young age. The fact that there were martyrdoms in his close family circle caused our comrade Ali to question the system at an early age. The Kurdistan Freedom Struggle opened a new page in the history of resistance of the oppressed peoples by recreating an ancient people who wanted to be destroyed from its ashes. The oppressed people of Kurdistan, where there is no shortage of hope and who are left defenseless in the face of the most barbaric attacks, have become the hope of the new with our Party PKK. With Leader Apo igniting the spark of the struggle under the most difficult conditions, the Kurdish people became integrated with the struggle with their whole existence and the valiant sons of Kurdistan flocked to the ranks of the struggle. Due to the assimilation, oppression, denial and annihilation policies developed by the invading Turkish state against our people for decades, many of our families had to migrate to the ancient lands of Kurdistan. Our people, who are faced with hunger and poverty in the metropolises of Turkey and face all kinds of oppression, have been tried to keep our people away from the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. Despite all the attacks, our patriotic people, who never copied the line of resistance created by the PKK, turned every place they went into an area of resistance. Despite all the dirty attacks of the Turkish state, the honorable Kurdish youth made massive participation in the ranks of the struggle, thereby nullifying the policies of the invaders. Faced with financial difficulties, like many Kurdish families, as a result of the colonialist Turkish state’s attacks against our people, our comrade had to immigrate from Turkish metropolises to Istanbul and move away from the lands where he was born and grew up. He closely witnessed the assimilation policies implemented by the occupying state against our people and especially the Kurdish youth in Turkish metropolises. Our comrade Mazlum, who witnessed the resistance of Kurdish youth who fought heroically for the freedom of our people despite the attacks developed by the colonial Turkish state using all its means during the historical Self-Government Resistance that developed in Hezex, never forgot the spirit of resistance that emerged.
