MEXMÛR – The young women of the young women’s movement Maxmur made a statement yesterday on the occasion of March 8th. The statement was read by Mezra Çömlek, a member of the Young Women’s Council. Çömlek first congratulated all women on the 8′ of March and stated the following:
“As women, we organize with the philosophy of Rêber APO and fight for freedom.
As March 8th, 2023, International Women’s Day approaches, we see that women’s struggle is not just one day but is spreading to every moment and place. The struggle for women’s liberation has become global. Women’s revolutions are not imaginary, the liberating changes in women’s lives and the results of struggle seen in various shapes and colors in Rojava, Kurdistan, the Middle East and many parts of the world can be deduced from it. Therefore, the 21st century will be a century of women’s liberation.
March 8th is the day of resistance and uprisings. In 1967 in New York, USA, 129 female factory workers were burned to death during a strike. We commemorate with great gratitude all the women who resisted and fought at great cost throughout history, from Clara Zetkin, Roza Luxemburg, Leyla Qasim, Şehîd Sara, Viyan Çaf, Şirin Elemhulî, Arîn Mirkan, Jina Aminî, Evîn Goyî, Raperîn Amed and Ronahî Penaber, all the women who worked for the revolution and all our Şehîds who wrote epics in the mountains of Kurdistan and suffered martyrdom in the war of honour.
Rêber APO’s ideas and philosophy have spread all over the world. Today all young women organize themselves and fight under the slogan “Jin Jiyan, Azadî”. Rêber APO’s work for women’s freedom is both very large and very meaningful. Rêber APO has been kept in absolute isolation and tortured for 25 years, but his ideas have always been a source of freedom. Therefore, as women who see Rêber APO as their leader, as women who evolve with Rêber APO’s ideas, we celebrate March 8th in honor of Rêber APO. We will complete the project that Rêber APO called “My unfinished project” with our struggle and lead to victory.
On this basis, we as Tevgera Jinên Ciwan ên Mexmur have identified with the paradigm of women’s freedom developed by our chairman and on this basis we will continue the struggle for free coexistence with the slogan set by the chairman to the end. Let’s take up the Rêber APOs solution and develop it further. We celebrate March 8th again for all women and say Jin, Jiyan, Azadî.”
