LONDON – Last night TCS/TekoJin organized a demonstration under the slogan “Freedom for Reber APO” to bring awareness and make actions about the situation in Imrali. While the leader APO has been putting up a tremendous resistance under the conditions of aggravated isolation and torture on the island of Imrali as a result of an international conspiracy for 24 years, the Kurdistan freedom movement and guerrilla do not bow down to Turkish fascism and special war policies.
International institutions such as the CPT, the Council of Europe and the United Nations do not show any reaction to the orientations contrary to international laws against the Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from for TWO years, and allow Turkish fascism to move forward.
A member of tekojin stated: “The physical freedom of Reber APO is directly connected to the freedom of women and the kurdish people everywhere. There is only one thing that the Turkish state is very good at: it is having fear. The Turkish state fears freedom. The Turkish state fears democracy. The imprisonment of serokati is proof that the Turkish state fears the ideas that have given strength to this revolution”
Slogans such as “Biji berxwedane Imrali” “Be tarok jiyane nabe” were chanted. The youth remains strong in their willpower because everywhere there must be loudness. The youth must make their struggle bigger and follow the footsteps of our history.
