NEWS CENTER – After the February 6th earthquake caused major damage in Bakur Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria, as well as Rojava Kurdistan and it became clear that the occupying Turkish state is neither prepared nor willing to save the many people under the rubble and the people without To support their belongings standing on the street in the cold and ice, young people and young women in Europe are actively involved in the course of social mobilization to collect donations for the earthquake victims and to alleviate the wounds of Kurdish society.

BERLIN

For three days, under the leadership of the youth in Berlin, the Kurdish aid organization Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê e. V. collected. The third day of the Heyva Sor fundraising campaign in Berlin continued today at Hermannplatz. Numerous volunteers volunteered to collect donations on behalf of the Heyva Sor for Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria.

The members of the Kurdish student association YXK and JXK also took the initiative and informed people at the stands about the situation in the earthquake areas and also reported on the attempts of the occupying Turkish state to hinder social solidarity for the earthquake victims.

The young students of the YXK and JXK explained: “We managed to reach out to the general public and raise funds as Heyva Sor. Now we have to build up enough international pressure so that we can get through with the donations! As long as paths remain blocked, we cannot help enough with the monetary donations. As a society, we must recognize and condemn the anti-Kurdish and anti-Alevi warfare that Turkey and Syria are waging.”

KEEL

Donations are also being collected diligently in Kiel for those affected by the earthquake on February 6th. Under the leadership of Jiyana Jin, the people in Kiel collect donations in kind and money in order to heal the wounds of Kurdish and Syrian society themselves within the framework of social solidarity and brotherhood, instead of hoping for state institutions and organizations.

The speaker of Jiyana-Jin, Nûjin stated:

“Hello everyone. We women of Jiyana Jin came together today to collect donations for our brothers and sisters who unfortunately did not receive enough support during the earthquake in Syria and the Kurdish areas. That is why we are here today and we are raising funds on behalf of HEYVA SOR. I ask you to donate to HEYVA SOR and support us.” she called out to the public. In the coming days, the fundraiser will continue at Asmus-Bremer Platz in Kiel.”
