ZURICH – Under the direction of TekoJIN, young people organized a demonstration with torches in Zurich today, Wednesday. The slogan of the demonstration was “The fire of Vîyan Soran is the freedom fire of Rêber APO”. Comrade Viyan Soran, a Kurdish woman from southern Kurdistan, set herself on fire on February 2nd, 2006 as a reaction to the international conspiracy against Rêber APO and all freedom-loving people.
The demonstration in Zurich also honored Veysi (Bubo) Taş and Mehmet Akar, who set themselves on fire to demand an end to the absolute isolation from Chairman Abdullah Öcalan.
