LAUSANNE – The ‘Internationalist Long March’ launched for the freedom of People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Geneva, Switzerland, continues on its second day. The internationalist activists, who walked 13 kilometers despite the cold and wind on the first day and made a press statement in front of the UN Geneva Office, continued their march to the city of Versoix in Geneva. Returning to Geneva for accommodation, the activists started the second day in the town of Morges in Lausanne. Activists gathered in the Parc de L’indépendance Square in the town of Morges in the morning and started walking at 10:00.

Walkers tied black bands to their arms for those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Kurdistan.

The march will end at the Place de Riponne Square, where the Treaty of Lausanne is located.

More than 120 internationalist activists and many Kurdistanis from Germany, Spain-Catalonia, Portugal, France, England, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Kenya, Ecuador, Mexico, Hungary, Austria, Brazil and India are participating in the march.
