NEWS CENTER –

“There are many ways to kill. Someone may be stabbed in the stomach, someone may be deprived of bread, someone may not be able to cure a disease, someone may be placed in a bad house, someone may be put to work to death, someone may be driven to suicide, someone may go to war, etc. Only a few of them are banned in our country.”
-Bertolt Brecht

As Berthold Brecht describes in his poem, there are many ways to kill people. There are many ways to incite genocide against a society; obvious, clearly visible ones, and less obvious, invisible ones.

This is exactly what we are experiencing today, especially the Kurdish community in Bakure Kurdistan. Okay, we can say it was an earthquake, a natural disaster. We cannot control or prevent natural disasters. True, but when it happens, necessary measures can be taken to ensure that the damage and losses are not too high. However, what the fascist Turkish state has been doing for years is exactly the opposite. Not only in Turkey, but also in Southern Kurdistan, as part of the “modernization”, the multi-storey houses that are popping up everywhere, often with really controversial investments, are the ones that usually collapse when the ground shakes a little.

People living in these flats, generally families with limited financial means, have no choice but to rent these flats because they are cheap and cannot afford anything else. If natural disasters are so effective in a region known to be affected by earthquakes, it must be questioned how the ruling regime did not take precautions. The taxes collected from the people in the name of natural disasters are not enough to save the people who are under the rubble today. Can it be asked how such structures can be built in such a region that is not strong enough to withstand these earthquakes? The collapse of thousands of people and the inability to reach any help in the snow and winter show that it is not the buildings that have collapsed in this state, but morality.

It has shown once again that it is not enough for people to trust the state, a system that does not take care of the interests and needs of the society with its fascist mentality, but only takes precautions for its own interests.

This massacre, which took place not only in Turkey but also in Syria, should be a reminder, a reminder to all people to stop being deceived by the state. To stop being fooled by their deceptions and instead intervene themselves, take action and build social self-organization, self-help and self-management. The state is weak, whether in Syria or Turkey; it is time for society to realize its own power, to seize its power and to protect itself from various attempts of massacre by the state.

The financial crisis in Turkey, the difficult economic situation of many families in Syria, Turkey and Kurdistan, the ongoing war in all regions of the Middle East, the massacre attempts by Islamist gangs such as the Taliban, ISIS or Al Nusra, capitalist theft and exploitation, the Middle East There are many heavy attacks on the shoulders of the societies in . There is an ongoing war, the war of existence and non-existence. To finally realize this reality and to lead this struggle for the existence of Kurdish society, the existence of Kurdish culture and values, its language, the existence of resistance, the existence of hope for freedom, the existence of human values and sociality, at home or abroad, old or young, It is much more important to mobilize everything, whether male or female, from Kurdistan, the Middle East or elsewhere.

Because as Berthold Brecht said:

“When injustice becomes a right, resistance becomes a duty!”
