The lands of ancient Kurdistan have played a leading role in the creation of many values by being the cradle of human history. Our people living in Kurdistan lands, where the first crops were planted, the first strong social ties were formed, and the concept of ‘heaven’ in the memory of societies, was targeted by the colonialists and exposed to many inhuman attacks. Our people, who did not bow down despite all the attacks; united in the ranks of the PKK against assimilation, denial and destruction attacks and developed the greatest and noblest resistance in history. Our struggle, which started in Kurdistan and spread in waves, has now crossed the borders of Kurdistan and turned into the hope of an equal and free future for all oppressed peoples.
Our comrade Gulan, who was born and raised in the Qoser district of Mêrdîn, who embraced the flag of resistance raised by the PKK by saluting with serhildans, grew up with the tradition of resistance created by the PKK. Our comrade grew up in a patriotic family with participation in the ranks of the struggle, knew our party from an early age and followed it with great interest. During the genocidal attacks of ISIS gangs against our Yazidi people, she went to Shengal with her comrades to prevent the genocide and defeated the ISIS gangs. Together with her comrades, she successfully fulfilled her mission and saved our Yazidi people from genocide. Our comrade Gulan later returned to the mountains of Kurdistan, to which she was strongly connected, saw once again the fact that in order to completely eliminate the attacks on the existence of our people, it was necessary to fight sacrificially under the leadership of the guerrilla and experienced a strong concentration on this basis.
