“On August 6, 2019, the invading Turkish state carried out a large-scale attack on different regions in the Metîna area, and in these attacks, our comrades Arîn and Sorxwîn were martyred in the Golka region, and our comrades Çiyager, Welat and Sîpan were martyred in the shadow of Girê Hakkarî. Our comrades Arîn, Sorxwîn, Çiyager, Welat and Sîpan, who managed to become exemplary Apoist militants with their efforts and sacrifices in the guerrilla ranks with their commitment to the freedom struggle of our people, managed to gain a place in the hearts and memories of all their comrades. As his comrades, we are honored to take part in the same struggle with such valuable comrades and to fight for the same goals, and we promise that we will certainly realize the goals and dreams of these self-sacrificing comrades.
We extend our condolences to all our patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially to the valuable families of our comrades Arîn, Sorxwîn, Çiyager, Welat and Sîpan.

ARIN ZİLAN
Our comrade Arîn was born in the Elbak district of Wan, which is known for its strong patriotism. Our comrade Arîn, who grew up on her own roots with social ethics and culture, came to the fore in the society as an intelligent and hardworking young woman. However, what she witnessed in the current system caused contradictions and a search. The biggest contradiction is that women are not included in society, they are not valued, the reality of women is underestimated, women are subjected to violence, women are ignored despite their greatest efforts in social life, no social ground is left for women to express their feelings and thoughts freely, and they are forced to live under male domination. Our comrade Arîn deeply questioned this contradiction, felt great anger and pondered the reasons. She never wanted to live the life she witnessed as a young woman and went in search of it. The contradictions and searches of our comrade Arîn introduced him to the Apoist movement. As he got to know the Apoist movement, which made women’s freedom, social freedom and free life the basis of her ideology, she saw that the answer to her quests and contradictions lies in the PKK. That’s why she ran the PKK’s life built with freedom with great passion and longing. On this basis, she joined the guerrilla ranks with great love and joy.
Our comrade Arîn determined the reality of free women as her greatest compass, determined her name in her revolutionary life as Arîn Zîlan, and aimed to follow in the footsteps of comrades Arîn Mîrkan and Zîlan (Zeynep Kınacı), who are the symbols of self-sacrifice. Thanks to her enthusiasm, morale, interest and curiosity, she adapted to the guerrilla life early, established strong bonds with her comrades and started practicing. She received her first guerrilla training in the field of Metîna and learned the most basic lessons here. She quickly grasped the guerrilla rules and learned how to defend herself against the enemy. Ideologically educated in free women’s history, women are the dominant power that creates the truth and life, the greatest revolutions in history were created by women, but how the women’s nation was ignored by the male-dominated ideology along with the statist civilization, she learned that he was doomed to a life under male domination, or rather to no life, by stepping down, and brought it to consciousness. As the free woman gained consciousness and recognized and realized her own power, she experienced a great empowerment and development. She has always felt great respect and gratitude to Leader Apo and all our martyrs, who paved the way for such a free life for her and all women, and has always expressed this with love. Our comrade Arîn was based on developing herself not only ideologically, but also militarily so that women can make their own self-defense and take an active part in the self-defense war. On this basis she participated in the original training process consisting only of female comrades in the Operations School of the Gewda Military Academy. She spent a period in which he enjoyed a great deal with his female comrades and had very important results, and constituted an important turning point in her guerrilla life. Our comrade Arîn, who undertakes all works with great enthusiasm, regardless of duty, stayed in Metîna and in different fields. She acted with a high sense of responsibility in every field she stayed in, successfully fulfilled her duties, and won the love of her comrades with her personality full of enthusiasm and morale. Our comrade Arîn had dreams of an enlightened future, successful practice and a great free life, died together with her comrade in a developing enemy attack, while our people had a lot to do for the cause of freedom. To achieve the goals of our comrade Arîn, who lives every moment with the PKK to the fullest, fits great meanings and leaves lasting traces, It is the duty of us comrades to realize their dreams and take their revenge. While reiterating our promise to all our martyrs in the person of our comrade Arîn, we state that the brave and valiant woman of Elbak will always live on in our struggle.

SORXWIN MAZLUM
Our comrade Sorxwîn, originally from Garzan-Bedlis, where Kurdistani social values are strongly lived and the culture of resistance has not been erased despite all the pressures, was born in a patriotic family that had to immigrate to Istanbul due to the pressures of the invading Turkish state. Our comrade, who had to leave the country and live in Turkish metropolises due to the denial, annihilation and assimilation attacks of the colonial Turkish state, grew up with his longing for the holy lands of Kurdistan. Despite everything, our comrade, who closely followed the historical resistance of our party PKK, which developed under the leadership of Leader Apo, has not lost her resistance identity as a young Kurdish woman. Despite the efforts of the system to detach the Kurdish youth from the struggle by tearing them away from their essence, they have always been in search. Our comrade who perpetuates the quest for freedom, she saw the fact that women and women’s will were ignored and never accepted this situation. Our comrade, who was very excited about the fact that the woman, who was imprisoned within four walls and enslaved, became an army in the ranks of the PKK, which developed under the leadership of Leader Apo, and waged an effective struggle against the invaders, dreamed of the day when she would join the guerrilla ranks.
In 2016, when the colonialist Turkish state intensified its attacks, our comrade Sorxwîn joined the guerrilla ranks in the lands of Bedlis, where he was born and raised, to respond to the suffering of our people and to establish a free homeland. Our comrade Sorxwîn, who carried out her first guerrilla experience in Botan, became a young female guerrilla united with the lands of Kurdistan she longed for. With her enthusiastic and laboring personality, she quickly adapted to guerrilla conditions, became a competent guerrilla in a short time and waged an effective struggle against the invading Turkish army. Our comrade, who also carried out an effective practice in the field of Metîna, where she passed after Botan, organized and transferred her anger against the invaders to her struggle. Our comrade carried out guerrilla activities under the most difficult conditions and in the most difficult areas with her fighting personality. She has been a militant of difficult races with a will of steel, she has managed to become an exemplary militant of the PKK and PAJK line, with her stance as a bouncer and the leading role she plays in life. Armed with the philosophy of Leader Apo, our comrade Sorxwîn has become one of our comrades who have almost re-created herself by deepening in the line of women’s freedom. It has always adhered to the PKK’s holy comradeship principle and has always endeavoured to glorify it, and has earned the respect and love of all its comrades with the strong comradeship relations it has established. Our comrade, who, with her militant personality, duly fulfilled her pioneering role as a YJA Star guerrilla in every environment she was in, has always protected the sacred struggle legacy of our martyrs. Our comrade Sorxwîn was constantly concentrating to deepen Leader Apo and PKK philosophy, she has improved herself in all circumstances and enriched herself by sharing what she has learned with her comrades. Our comrade, who specializes in Democratic Modernity Guerrillaism, put what she learned into practice and has come to an important stage from the line of command by constantly improving. The legacy of struggle left behind by our comrade Sorxwîn, who managed to become an exemplary PKK and PAJK militant in the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, which she joined at a young age, will always continue to illuminate us.

ÇIYAGER AMED
Our comrade Çiyager was born in Amed, the center of patriotism and the capital of our country, in a patriotic family. He grew up with Amed’s social fabric and patriotic culture. Our comrade Çiyager, who is talented in folklore and draws attention with his industriousness, worked in the mines as a laborer and recognized the phenomenon of labor. Our comrade, who has learned to exist with his efforts, has learned to feel the pain of all people in his heart. Our comrade Çiyager, who also knows his people’s struggle for existence and freedom, was influenced by his brother and uncle’s son, who joined the guerrilla ranks. He got to know the Apoist movement closely, saw that he had responsibilities as a Kurdish youth as he got to know them, and participated in the revolutionary work with this awareness. He carried out militia work for a period. The colonialist, who decided to commit a total genocide against the Kurdish people under the name of the Collapsing Plan, The genocidal Turkish state recklessly attacked our people and patriotic cities in 2015. Against these attacks, self-government resistance developed under the leadership of Kurdish youth, and epics of resistance that went down in history were written. Our comrade Çiyager was greatly affected by the self-government resistance that developed in Sur, in the middle of Amed, the pain of our persecuted people, and the martyred comrades. Especially Cemile Çağırga, who was kept in the refrigerator, who lived in that process and won the memory of everyone again, Hacı Lokman Birlik, who was dragged behind the panzer, Taybet Ana, whose funeral was left in the middle of the street for days, had a great impact on our comrade Çiyager.
He was named after our legendary commander, Comrade Çiyager, who said, “Whatever happens, the end will be magnificent” in the Sur Self-Government Resistance when he joined the party ranks. After joining the ranks of the struggle, our comrade Çiyager quickly became practical and joined the active war without losing any time with the ambition to avenge the suffering of his people. He fought in many areas in the fight against ISIS, participated in actions, stood out with his high courage and achieved significant successes. In addition to the experience he gained, he received training at the operational school and the military specialization academy, specialized in tactics and deepened in the new era guerrilla. Our comrade Çiyager has fought sacrificially everywhere for our people to have a free future and a dignified life. With this belief and determination, our comrade Çiyager was martyred in the attack of the enemy while he was fighting in the field of Metina. Comrade Çiyager, who is the most concrete truth that the Çiyagers will never be exhausted and that the hope for a free life can never be destroyed, in one of his speeches demanded that all Kurdish youth flow into the mountains and called for them to join the guerrilla. We believe that all Kurdish youth, especially the patriotic youth of Amed, will respond to this call of our comrade Martyr Çiyager Amed and will embrace his struggle. As his comrades, we reiterate our promise to be a relentless follower of the line of martyrs, to achieve the aims of the martyrs and to keep their memories alive with the Free Leadership from Free Kurdistan.

WELAT BOTAN
From the first years of our freedom struggle to the present day, our party’s unbreakable bond to the PKK, and which strengthened this loyalty with hundreds of the most valiant sons and martyrs they sent to the guerrilla ranks, the Pirsûs district of Riha has become an exemplary area for the whole of Kurdistan with their patriotism. Born into a patriotic family in such an area where the patriotic tradition is strong, our comrade Welat was undoubtedly influenced by the environment in which he was born and grew up, and has known our party PKK from an early age. Our comrade, who grew up with the heroic stories of the guerrilla, dreamed of being a part of these heroic stories and waited impatiently for the day he would join the guerrilla. Since his youth, his interest in our struggle for freedom has increased and he has been in search.
Our comrade Welat, who has a working personality, had no difficulty in adapting to the guerrilla and mountain life, where labor is sacred and everything is created with labor. Our comrade, who succeeded in transforming his emotional participation into a more conscious participation with the training he received, increased his pace in his participation day by day and succeeded in becoming a leading militant. Our comrade, who has determined to develop himself in Apoist philosophy and to overcome the effects of the capitalist system on his personality, has been successful in this effort with his deep concentrations. Aware of his duties and responsibilities as a freedom guerrilla against the increasing enemy attacks against our people, our comrade has been looking forward to the day when he will fight against the enemy, and has intensified his efforts in this direction. Concentrating on the guerrilla tactics of the new era in order to become a competent and expert guerrilla, our comrade Welat specializes in medium automatic weapons on this basis. Our comrade Welat, who further equipped himself militarily and ideologically with the training he received, moved to the field of Metîna and strongly participated in the practice there. Our comrade, who made a great impact on all his comrades with his simple, laboring and self-sacrificing participation, reached martyrdom in the enemy attacks and joined the caravan of immortals.

Bedlis is a city where Kurdish culture is experienced deeply and where dozens of scholars and wise people are raised. Because of these features, it has always been sensitive to enemy attacks. Our people of Bedlis, who have always been in resistance against the invading Turkish state’s attacks with the aim of genocide, have never made concessions on their honorable life, language and culture. Adopting our Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, which developed under the leadership of our party PKK, in a short time, our people in Bedlis have determined their stance in favor of freedom by adding their most precious sons to the ranks of the struggle. Our comrade Sîpan was born in a patriotic family in the Adilcevaz district of Bedlis, where such a deep-rooted tradition prevails. Comrade Sîpan has known our Party and our guerrilla struggle from an early age, due to the patriotic and tradition-bound nature of his environment and family. Our comrade Sîpan, who managed to preserve his essence despite studying in YİBOs, which was developed by the enemy for special war purposes and used to assimilate Kurdish children, destroyed the genocidal policy developed by the enemy in his own personality. Our comrade Sîpan, who has an exemplary personality with this feature, has sought to join the ranks of the struggle since his youth. Our comrade, who learned by living the reality that the genocidal policy imposed on our people can only be broken through a radical struggle, and who felt the enemy’s pressure and attacks deeply, turned to the mountains of Kurdistan and joined the guerrilla ranks with the awareness that the most correct field of struggle is the guerrilla ranks. With the trainings he received, he started to raise awareness of our people’s reality, the enemy’s policy of genocide, and the struggle led by our party PKK against this policy. Our comrade Sîpan, who made learning lessons from history one of his most fundamental characteristics, started to struggle with and overcome the features that were formed as a result of the assimilation policies of the enemy, which prevented him from fighting, by turning to his personality. Our comrade, who became more integrated with a free life as he surpassed these features that did not belong to him and that came between him and his struggle, started to set an example for all his comrades. Again, in a process where the enemy is developing the most comprehensive attacks in history against our people and our movement, our comrade Sîpan, who thinks that there must be a response to these enemy attacks, has taken as a basis to develop himself in the guerrilla style and tactics of the new period. For this purpose, he primarily benefited from the war experiences of his experienced comrades. Later, our comrade, who learned the art and tactics of guerrilla warfare one by one, suggested that we go to the most difficult areas of struggle in order to have a fight worthy of our martyred comrades. Our comrade Sîpan, who has determined his main goal as ensuring the physical freedom of Leader Apo, has increased his struggle day by day on this basis. Our comrade Sîpan, an Apoist militant who is loved and respected by all his comrades with his honest, hardworking and devoted participation, has managed to set an example for all Kurdish youth with his life and struggle.”
