BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center stated:
“The freedom guerrilla of Kurdistan, which has re-formed by deepening the line of the guerrilla of democratic modernity, continues to fight selflessly for the freedom of our people, despite the harsh winter and all the impossibilities, and inflicts heavy blows on the invaders. As a result of the actions carried out by our mobile ground teams, 5 attackers were punished, 4 Mobesse camera systems, 4 emplacements, 1 A4 gun, 1 B7 gun and 1 grenade launcher were destroyed.
The occupying Turkish army bombed the guerrilla resistance positions once with prohibited bombs, twice with fighter jets and dozens of times with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.”
The details of the actions and attacks performed are as follows:
“In the Zap region within the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Movement:
- On February 4 at 12:30 p.m., a Mobesse camera system that the attackers placed around guerrilla resistance positions near the village of Sîda, in Şeladizê subdistrict of Amediyê district, was fired upon by our mobile teams using sniper tactics and destroyed.
Within the Revolutionary Movement Cenga Xabûrê Şehîd Savaş Maraş:
- On February 2nd, the invaders in Girê Hakkari were attacked with a coordinated guerrilla action from six directions. The guerrillas skillfully got past the barbed wire and searchlights that the attackers had laid in three stages for fear of being hit by the guerrillas, and walked over the attackers’ positions. At 07:10 3 attackers were shot near the positions and punished with grenades and individual weapons. With great attack spirit and lightning speed, our troops overran the attackers’ positions and punished 2 other attackers. Our coordinated guerrilla teams, despite the harsh winter conditions and meter-deep snow, carried out this all-out offensive action with self-sacrifice and dealt a heavy blow to the enemy.
- During the clashes and air raids during this action, 7 of our Hevals, who devotedly lived and fought for a free future of our society, became Şehîds. The detailed information about the identity of our immortal heroes will be shared with our community and the public at a later date.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with prohibited bombs and chemical weapons;
- On February 4, at 2:30 p.m., resistance guerrilla positions in the Çemço region in the Şeladizê district of the Amediyê district were bombed once with prohibited bombs.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army;
- On February 2, the Girê Hakkari resistance area was bombed twice by warplanes.
- On February 2nd and 4th, guerrilla resistance positions around Girê Hakkari resistance area and Çemço region in Şeladizê district of Amediyê district were bombed dozens of times with howitzers, tanks and heavy weapons.”
