BEHDÎNAN – The HPG press center stated:
“Despite our movement’s decision for the legitimate defense forces to heal the wounds of Kurdistan and Turkey’s societies during the devastating catastrophe, the occupying Turkish army continues to attack our resistance positions with prohibited bombs, tanks and heavy weapons.
Our comrade Mazlum suffered martyrdom as a result of the heavy gun attacks by the occupying Turkish army on February 9 on our resistance positions near the village of Sîda in the Şêladizê district of Amediyê. Information on the identity of our fallen comrade Mazlum will be shared with our society and the public at a later date. Our forces also had to defend themselves against the constant attacks of the occupying Turkish army, punishing one attacker and hitting a combat helicopter.”
The details of the attacks carried out by the occupying Turkish army are as follows:
“In the Zap region within the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Movement;
- At 08:00 on February 10, our forces defended against the attackers who fired heavy weapons at our resistance positions near the Çemço region in the Şêladizê district of Amediyê, punishing one attacker.
- On February 10, at 8:00 p.m., our forces defended against helicopter gunships bombing our resistance positions in the Çemço region of Şêladizê district of Amediyê, hitting one helicopter gunship.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army with prohibited bombs and chemical weapons;
- On February 9, our resistance positions around the village of Sîda in Şêladizê district of Amediyê were bombed once with prohibited bombs.
Attacks by the occupying Turkish army;
- On February 10, the Girê Cudî resistance area was bombed three times by warplanes.
- On February 9 and 10, guerrilla positions near the village of Sîda and in the Çemço region in the Şêladizê district of Amediyê were bombed dozens of times with tanks and heavy weapons.”
