“The year 2022, when an epic struggle was waged, was marked by our guerrilla resistance in Bakure Kurdistan. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, who fought a great willpower against all kinds of attacks of the enemy, carried out a self-sacrificing struggle against enemy attacks in many areas from Mersin to Botan, from Serhed to Garzan and Amed. The Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which destroyed the enemy’s private war policy and kept our people’s hope for freedom alive, dealt heavy blows to the genocidal Turkish army with the actions it developed. In this epic struggle, our comrades Gabar and Numan in the Garzan area, our comrade Berxwedan in the Wan area, and our comrade Sîpan in the Besta area, fought selflessly against the enemy attacks and reached martyrdom.
We express our condolences to all patriotic people of Kurdistan, especially the esteemed families of our comrades Gabar, Numan, Berxwedan and Sîpan, and promise to carry the struggle of our comrades to victory.

Our Garzan area has always been one of the important centers of our people’s history of resistance, with its struggle against occupation and exploitation in Kurdistan. With the emergence of the PKK under the leadership of Leader Apo, our party’s hope of freedom for our oppressed people, caught in the grip of genocide, blossomed again and our people in Garzan became one of the first to embrace the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle. The valiant sons of Kurdistan joined the ranks of the struggle and the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, the representative of our people’s honorable life and stance, chose the Garzan area as the center of struggle. The colonialist Turkish state, which wanted to distance our patriotic Garzan people from the struggle, committed countless murders against our people by the Hizbul-contra gangs in the 90s. Despite all the pressures, our people of Garzan, based on Leader Apo’s free life line, He responded to the attacks of the invaders by raising his struggle. Our comrade Gabar was born in our patriotic family in our city of Elîh, which is connected to this deep-rooted resistance tradition of Garzan. Our comrade, who has been following Leader Apo and the historical resistance of the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla with great interest since his childhood, participated in youth activities and started to get to know the PKK better and closer in practice. For a long time, he fought in different cities to protect Kurdish youth against the genocidal attacks of the colonial Turkish state. Our comrade, who always aims to increase his struggle, has never seen what he has done enough and is based on taking part in more resistance. Deepening his concentration on this basis, our comrade, in 2013,
Comrade Gabar, who quickly adapted to the holy guerrilla life, which he was not familiar with, thanks to the guerrilla training he received, moved to the Qendil area after practicing for a while in the Garê area. Our comrade, who has been a successful guerrilla in many areas of Qendil for a long time, specializes in guerrilla tactics. He has approached all Party tasks with great seriousness, regardless of big or small, and has taken it as a basis to conclude them successfully. With the philosophy of Leader Apo and the training he received in order to deepen in the life of the PKK, he achieved great dominance in the principles of guerrillaism in the new era. Comrade Gabar, who went back to the practical field after the training he successfully completed by becoming a commander, has made many suggestions to carry out guerrilla activities in the holy Garzan lands, which he has always dreamed of. Our comrade Gabar, whose proposal was accepted by our party and organized in the Garzan area, achieved his goal of being a guerrilla in Garzan, which he described as his childhood dream. Our comrade, who for decades has made it the center of his revolutionary struggle to respond to the suffering of our people and to destroy the Imrali genocide system, has never deviated from this goal and fought with great devotion throughout his revolutionary life. Our comrade Gabar, who is known for his humble, hard-working and warm-blooded personality among his comrades, was able to win the love and respect of his comrades in every environment he was in. It has adopted the principle of being at the forefront in war as well as in life, and is based on carrying the line of struggle of our immortal martyrs to victory. Engaged in a relentless struggle against the invaders who want to destroy our people’s hope for a free future, Our comrade Gabar, who worked with great determination and willpower to complete his revolutionary missions with great success, came to the fore as a militant commander with the spirit of victory of the period and led his comrades. In the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle, our comrade Gabar approached his missions with the spirit of victory by constantly increasing the pace of participation and integrating with his comrades.

Our comrade Numan was born in Istanbul as a member of a family belonging to the Timoq tribe in the patriotic and resistance tribes of Kurdistan. Comrade Numan has known our party the PKK since he was very young, due to the patriotic environment he lived in and the patriotic family of his, close relatives and martyrs. Although our country was born and grew up far from Kurdistan, it has never forgotten the essence of Kurdishness, and its face and heart has turned to the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla who are fighting for our country and the freedom of our people. From an early age, he questioned the fact that he was born and raised as a Kurd in the metropolises of Turkey, that he had to live there, and the oppression and massacres of the enemy against our people. The answers he reached in these inquiries helped our comrade Numan to better understand the reality of the enemy. Our party, which is fighting for the freedom of our people in the mountains of Kurdistan against this genocidal enemy, has also brought it closer to the PKK. Our comrade, who, like every honorable Kurdish youth, seeks to fight against the developing enemy attacks against our people, was first involved in youth work. Our comrade Numan, who took part in these activities for a while, helped the Kurdish youth, who had to live far away from Kurdistan, to become conscious and join the ranks of the struggle. Aware of the need to wage a more radical struggle against the all-out attacks launched by the enemy against our people and our Movement since 2015, Comrade Numan, knowing that this is only possible by joining the guerrilla ranks, turned his face to the mountains of Kurdistan and joined the guerrilla ranks.
Comrade Numan, who was first impressed by the guerrilla’s comradely relations and the natural beauty of mountain life, quickly adapted to life when he joined the guerrilla. Our comrade, who was extremely successful in the trainings he took due to the clarity of his purpose and his anger towards the enemy, started to integrate with the Apoist ideology by creating important transformations in his personality in a short time. With the trainings he received, he brought to consciousness the historical hostility of the genocidal Turkish state against our people and the special war policies it developed for this purpose. Our comrade Numan, who is constantly concentrating to overcome the effects of the enemy on his personality and to carry out the freedom march with more solid steps, gave the greatest answer to the enemy by making important changes in his personality. Our comrade, who has improved himself in many subjects from the history of Kurdistan to our Party history and the ideology of women’s freedom, has made these trainings the basis of his whole life. Comrade Numan, who is aware of the need to develop himself militarily in order to respond to the attacks of the enemy against the guerrilla and our people’s expectations from the freedom guerrillas, has made a great effort to deepen especially in the guerrilla tactics of the new era. Our comrade Numan, who trained himself in the branch of assassination, won the appreciation of all his comrades with his success in training. For this reason, he trained his comrades for a long time and enabled dozens of them to become assassins. Our comrade, who has made an important effort for the development of the assassination branch, which is one of the important tactics of our new era guerrilla warfare and which shows its effect in the ongoing historical resistance in the Medya Defense Zones, is getting results in the resistance positions today. Our comrade Numan, who managed to become a competent guerrilla with the ideological and military training he received, always suggested going to the battlefields where he could practice what he learned. Especially, the martyrdom of his aunt Fidan–Mizgin Alphan in Afrin in 2018 deeply affected our comrade Numan. Our comrade, who concentrated more on avenging all our martyrs from the genocidal and colonialist Turkish state, saw Bakure Kurdistan as the area where he could best strike the enemy. For this, he went to the Garzan area where he had his roots and started to continue his struggle in his homeland, which he had never seen but always felt in his heart. Our comrade Numan, who struggled with great effort and sacrifice despite all difficult conditions, succeeded in gaining the respect and love of his comrades with whom he fought. Our comrade, who was in search of responding to our people’s demands for freedom by participating in many actions developed against the enemy in the Garzan area, never saw himself as sufficient, and constantly focused and strived for a participation in the line of self-sacrifice. Our comrade Numan, who was martyred by fighting until his last breath against the enemy attack in the Çatak area of Wan on October 20, 2022, will always continue to live in our struggle and lead our comrades.

Our comrade Berxwedan was born in a patriotic family in the Qoser district of Mêrdîn, one of our cities where patriotism is most alive. Our comrade Berxwedan grew up in a way that is connected to his culture, as the social structure he came from is connected to Kurdish culture with strong ties. Our comrade, who took his shape from such an environment, has succeeded in making this culture a principle over the years. Our comrade Berxwedan, who witnessed closely the assimilation and genocide policies of the Turkish state against the Kurdish people in the person of young people, felt great anger against these policies. Our comrade Berxwedan, who realized that he could not carry out a conscious struggle without controlling the grudge and anger he felt, succeeded in making these feelings the ground for struggle.
Our comrade Berxwedan, who joined the guerrilla ranks in Mêrdîn, the land where he was born in 2015, later moved to the Metîna area to receive new fighter training. From the first day he joined, he joined life with the admiration he felt for guerrilla life and the excitement of being in such an environment. Our comrade Berxwedan, who successfully completed his new fighter trainings, also took his first guerrilla practice in the Metîna area. From the first day he went in the fields he was in, he was able to win the attention and appreciation of all his comrades with his labor and concise participation. Our comrade Berxwedan, who wants to take part in all practical works with his hardworking and modest structure, has had a great share in the knitting and beautification of life in all environments. Our comrade Berxwedan, who was taken as an example by his comrades with his approach to tasks and sincerity, He did not accept any criteria other than success in all the tasks he took. Our comrade, who managed to achieve a good level by improving himself militarily, developed deep concentrations in understanding and applying the new era professional guerrilla style and tactics, and followed the implementation of it by his comrades as well as himself. Our comrade Berxwedan, who is aware that his military knowledge and experience will not be enough for a professional guerrilla, has always been in the struggle to train himself ideologically. During this period, he received training at the Mahsum Korkmaz Academy. During this training process, he focused on better understanding and realizing the Leadership philosophy. Again, our comrade Berxwedan, who had the opportunity to see the inadequacies and deficiencies in the practices he carried out during the education process and to concentrate on the reasons, and made good use of this opportunity, developed deep concentrations on the ways and methods of overcoming the bottlenecks in practice. Our comrade Berxwedan, who had a successful training process, started to practice more strongly with the lessons he learned from previous practices. Our comrade Berxwedan, who took on different tasks during his practice, was in the struggle to fulfill these duties successfully. She earned the respect of all her comrades with her humble and laboring participation during her duties. Our comrade Berxwedan was martyred by fighting to his last breath against the enemy operations in the Geliyê Îdilê area of Wan on 28 August 2022 during a mission. Our comrade Berxwedan has left a great legacy with his humble, hardworking and uncalculated participation. We, as their successors, promise to stick to the memories of all our martyrs, especially our comrade Berxwedan, and to crown their dreams with victory.

Our comrade Sîpan was born in Hesekê, Rojavayê Kurdistan, in a patriotic family. Our comrade Sîpan, who started to get to know the Kurdistan Freedom Movement with the realization of the Rojava Freedom Revolution, participated in the struggle, although he was influenced by the comrades he knew during the revolution, especially influenced by the fact that his two brothers were in the ranks of the revolution. Our comrade, who joined the ranks of the revolution in 2015, when the attacks against the Rojava Freedom Revolution were at their peak, had the opportunity to get to know Leader Apo’s philosophy more closely. He has deepened his quest for freedom by being influenced by our comrades who, embracing the philosophy of leadership, fought for the freedom of our people without hesitation in any sacrifice and reached martyrdom. The martyrdoms and the search he entered made our comrade Sîpan to increase his participation even more, had an unwavering participation. Our comrade Sîpan, who came to the fore with his courage in the war against the gangs, was seriously injured twice in the conflicts, but the freedom within him recovered in a short time due to his search and took his place in the revolution struggle again. The martyrdom of his brother, Comrade Xerîb–Welat Ehmed, in the campaign to liberate Manbij in 2016, not only affected our comrade Sîpan, but also marked a turning point in his life. Our comrade, who deepened himself ideologically after receiving his first education in the guerrilla, quickly adapted to the mountain and guerrilla life with the help of his comrades. Our comrade, who grows his passion for freedom every day, has reflected this in his practical works. Particularly, he participated in the preparation of war tunnels with great enthusiasm, morale and enthusiasm. Believing that the victory against the invading Turkish army will be won by the resistance in the war tunnels, it has increased its work pace day by day and set an example for all of its comrades with its laboring and self-sacrificing participation. Our comrade, who did not neglect to train himself in addition to his intense work pace, started to get to know the Leadership philosophy more closely, and became a simple and modest militant by realizing what he learned from our Leader. With these features, he has earned the respect and love of all his comrades. The attacks carried out by the colonial Turkish state against our people and our Kurdistan Freedom Movement and the martyrdoms experienced in these attacks further increased the anger of our comrade Sîpan against the enemy, and therefore he wanted to go to the areas where the war was most intense. For this, he trained himself more in the military sense and entered into an important concentration process to use the new period guerrilla warfare tactics skillfully. With the training he received, he became an expert guerrilla in his field. Our comrade Sîpan, who always wants to go to the most difficult areas of struggle, has turned his face to the Botan area, knowing that he can give the most effective fight against the invading Turkish state in Bakurê Kurdistan. Continuing his struggle in the field of Besta, our comrade Sîpan took part in many actions developed within the framework of the Egîdên Botanê Revolutionary Campaign and showed his anger and hatred towards the enemy in his actions. He set an example for all his comrades with his enthusiastic, enthusiastic and self-sacrificing participation in the actions he took part in. Together with comrades Nevzat Şervan and Piling Qoser, he developed an epic resistance against the enemy’s operation in the Besta area on September 30, 2022, and fought until his last breath and reached martyrdom.
