We convey our best wishes to those who were rescued as injured. We state that we will overcome these painful days with struggle and the people’s own solidarity.”
‘PEOPLE ARE LEFT TO DIE’
“This geography is located on the earthquake belt. Many large and small earthquakes occur. Our memories are still fresh as a result of the ’99 earthquake and many earthquakes that occurred in different regions after that. Deaths exceeding thousands and tens of thousands continue to take place in the sad history of our people as a bitter reality.
This last earthquake we experienced has already reached serious dimensions with its numbers increasing day by day. In this earthquake, which is compared with the ’99 earthquake in many respects, today, more than three thousand people lost their lives and the number continues to increase, there are tens of thousands of injured and there are people under the rubble of tens of thousands of buildings.
The reason for this earthquake is of course due to the movements in the earth’s crust. However, a large amount of deaths and building debris are caused by the fascist government. It is obvious that this fascist government, which is built on rent and exploitation order, has been making profits for years with great rents, and that the construction industry is actually a paper tiger. These rulers and bosses, who have established an order based on exploitation of human labor, rapid profit-renting and disregard for life, are the main cause of death. While all precautions are taken in palaces, villas and mansions; The fact that no measures are taken in the poor and laboring neighborhoods, apartments and slums continues to increase these deaths. It is revealed again and again that this rotten fascist government disregards the lives of the people. destroyed cities, flattened areas have become graves for our people who have nothing but work. This fascist government, whose job is only to make the rich richer, will continue to ignore human deaths while continuing to protect them in this order. He will continue to lie on television screens. While our people continue to bring their pain out of the rubble with their own efforts, the fascist AKP-MHP government will remain under those rubbles.
The fascist power has not taken action with any of its institutions. But he started to lie with every institution. The information sent by the people from the earthquake zones and the discourses of the government do not match in any way. While the government is executing its lies, it is experiencing a complete management crisis. While only our people in the region have the will to save people from the rubble, there is complete chaos within the state. The fascist government, which sees the life hopes of the people as the source of their own political future, cannot get out of this crisis environment. No institution of the state reaches the search and rescue zones, people are left to die. Helicopters that take off for war, for the rich, are not delivered to the region when it comes to the poor. Hospitals that are proud of their health are being demolished. In live broadcasts, “Erdogan says; AFAD has arrived. Where did he grow up?” The righteous cry of the people shouting is cut off. The fascist power continues to put capital and its survival on its course. They are trying to come out of the political consequences of this earthquake with the most damage for themselves and their bosses. However, the suffering of the people and the profit motives of the fascist government will continue to collide. The winner will be our people.
