NEWS CENTER – Leyla Weli Husên, alias Viyan Caf, Vian Karox and Vian Soran, was born in 1981 in the city of Sulaimani, she studied primary and secondary school in the city of Sulaimani with her friends. The late martyr has been aware of the cruelty of the social system since her childhood and has always faced the old mentality that oppressed and forced women.
Education in the system could not fulfill her dreams of freedom, she stopped studying in the spring of 1997 and joined the national liberation revolution of the PKK. Her hidden energy and abilities, she enthusiastically participates in education, life and activities of revolutionary life. At her request and insistence, she chose the battlefield as her first revolutionary involvement and joined the guerrilla ranks and actively participated in many guerrilla activities.
At the end of 1997, she was nominated by her friends for training in the Rêbertî place, but due to the difficult conditions at that time, she did not have the opportunity. In 1998, she participated in the South Kurdistan Conference. Later, as a talented staff member, she participated in the Middle East Conference in the deserts of Qandil Mountain in 2000 and made the conference more productive with her broad and deep views. After this conference, she participated in the organizational struggle in Eastern Kurdistan and in a short time became famous among the people of this part of Kurdistan. She played an important role in the freedom struggle of South Kurdistan, he was a member of the founding committee of the Democratic Solution Movement. In 2002, as a member of the Board of Directors and the Political School, she played an important role in the development of organizational and media struggle and other areas of struggle. f. d. K”. In the same year, she became a member of the Executive Council of the Free Women’s Party (PJA) in the Fourth Congress of the Women’s Movement.
At the request of his comrades, she joined the ranks of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) and the command of the Freedom Movement as a member of the founding committee of the new PKK. The Women’s Units (YJA-STAR) in the Heftanin area of Badinan, waged a serious struggle against the sensitive and decisive phase of our people and was in the middle of a great preparation to respond to the historical tasks and all the attacks of the enemies and invaders. She always looked at problems and events with the perspective of faith and great will and never said: “It is impossible.” On the contrary, she always said: “To achieve great goals, great pains are necessary”. She said in her letter:
“I have never lived without hesitation, morals and faith against all the difficulties of the revolution.
The leadership deepened in the intellectual, ideological, political and practical fields, created great experiences and read and analyzed Leader Apo’s defense letters with enthusiasm and deep thought. As she could not accept the international conspiracy of February 15, 1999 as fate, at the same time as Apocî and a contemporary militant, she tried to participate in condemning and destroying this evil conspiracy. Therefore, as she says, in 1999, she decided not to leave Leader Apo’s mind even for a second and tried to fulfill his historical duties with great love every day. When he saw that the conspiracy against the leadership and the people was deepening day by day, the leader’s faith, will and hope for freedom and success increased day by day and he faced the same responsibility against internal and external conspiracies.
I could never accept the eighth anniversary of the February 15 conspiracy, so I had to face the policies and conspiracies of the enemies of women’s freedom and the Kurdish people like a volcano.
With the view that “There is no life without the Leader and without freedom”, she was preparing her mind, emotions and soul for a great historical event. On the night of February 1, 2006 in Heftan with the slogan “We speak our word again” she set fire to her holy body and her love for freedom and a life with dignity and his loyalty to Leader Apo and the holy goals of the Kurdish people.
Martyr Viyan gave her most sacred message and instructions to his comrades, women, people and humanity through this act of martyrdom and gave a strong response to all internal and external conspiracies. With this action, Viyan, a leader and patriot, reached the level of leading a free woman and her people; As she says, “I want to be a good and honorable daughter of my people and Kurd Bakhshi became the courage of the values of the struggle for freedom in southern Kurdistan.”
