BEHDINAN – YJA Star Central Headquarters Command stated the following in a written statement on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Paris massacre:
“On the 10th anniversary of the Paris massacre, we commemorate with respect and gratitude Evîn Goyi’s friends and comrades, one of the great values of our women’s liberation struggle, targeted with a second massacre in Paris on 23 December, in the person of Sara, our first pioneer commander, and comrades Rojbin and Ronahi, who were martyred with her. We reiterate our promise to crown the hopes of all our martyred comrades with victory.
Our movement, the PKK, which hopes for freedom for the Kurdish people and the reality of women left in the dark by the male-dominated system, has become a center of resistance where not only Kurdish women, but also all women seeking a free life, raise their struggle with great faith. That is why Rêber APO, which is at the center of the struggle for free life, is a milestone for all women as the creator and source of inspiration of the slogan of victory in war and freedom in life. That’s why women have been the leading force in all development stages of the PKK, from its establishment to the present. Undoubtedly, our first marcher, our first commander, who believed in the freedom struggle, and the creator of everything about women in the Kurdistan freedom struggle, is heval Sara. The women’s revolution grew out of Sara’s big fight for survival,
Of course, this level of our women’s freedom struggle and our women’s army has been achieved as a result of the great efforts of Leader Apo and Sara, one of her first companions who are passionate about freedom. The level that Comrade Sara reached in freedom was embodied in our struggle for women’s freedom. The party line created by the Saras taught how to resist and defend the people in the Rojava women’s revolution. Comrade Sara’s fight has become the embodiment of the truth of free women with the guerrilla struggle. Today, the professionalizing female guerrilla line, especially in Zap, Metina, Avaşîn and Bakure Kurdistan, is the fascist Turkish Republic. The resultant war performance achieved against them shows that the Democratic People’s War Strategy, which started with Saras and continued with Bêrîtan, Zîlan and Evîns, has reached its peak. The line of struggle created by Saras, It has been the torch that illuminates the resistance of humanity, which has grown with the slogan of Jin, Jiyan and Azadî, which has spread all over the world, especially our guerrilla resistance that continues against the most brutal attacks of fascism. As YJA Star forces; We declare that we will avenge Sarai, Nagihan, Evin, and all women who believe in Leader Apo, our qibla of Freedom, with a Sara-like fight.
It has become a philosophy of life to fight against the historical slavery imposed on women all over the world today. While the Kurdistan freedom revolution is on its way to becoming a women’s revolution, the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi slogan has shown that the slavery imposed on women has been disintegrated and the freedom of the society is unlocked by the women’s revolution. Thus, wherever there is resistance, women have been the leading force. The resistance of the Kurdistan women’s liberation struggle came to life with Sara and became universal as an organization to defend women’s liberation, with YJA Star forces fighting for the self-defense power of all women today. As YJA Star, the legitimate defense force of women’s freedom, we claim to raise the legacy of Comrade Sara and meet all women.
As we entered the year 2023 with the slogan of JIN, JIYAN, AZADİ, the women’s resistance, which started with Saras all over Kurdistan, has unleashed an operational power that deals great blows to the enemy under the command of Evîn, Delal, Nalîn, Azê, Gülnaz, Avzem, Binevş, Jînda and thousands of pioneers YJA Star. has increased our determination to achieve victory with the color of women in the women’s century. In our over 30 years of women’s army, everyone, friend or foe, saw that we brought colonialism, the fascist-gang organization, the Turkish state, to the brink of defeat. Both in tunnel wars and in all resistance positions of the guerrilla, our YJA Star forces developed a Saraca fight and responded to all brutal attacks, chemical and tactical nuclear weapons with the unyielding stance of Comrade Sara against the enemy. Knowing the truth of Sara is also knowing how our history of women’s liberation was created with resistance. To know this is to meet with freedom. That’s why Sara is our reason to fight.
Our organization, which started with Comrade Sara, has unleashed an operational power that inflicts great blows on the enemy with the blood and soul of the Zîlans, Bêrîtans, Azîmes, Delal, Doga, Berivans, Evins, Sara and Rukens and many more of our female martyrs. As YJA Star forces, we will follow Sara in the face of all the attacks of the conspiratorial forces in 2023, our unique values, which are the nightmare of the fascist male-dominated system; We reiterate our claim to avenge Sara-Rojbîn-Ronahî, Evîn Botan, Nagihan Akarsel, Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır, Fatma Uyar and all women who have had a fierce struggle against the enemy. With the passion for freedom we received from Saras, Evin and Delal, we promise to establish a free society by achieving victory in our women’s struggle against male domination, which has peaked with fascism.”
